I called and left messages for Savanah but didn't receive any message or call back for an entire week. I'm very thankful you provided a free car rental for that week. The recall was for the ABS actuator. I was informed that the ABS actuator could not be fully configured because I was missing the distance sensor. So, I have two new lights on my dashboard. I was assured the system worked well, even if I saw the light. I received a quote for the distance sensor, the bracket, and the harness for $4,484.11. I picked it up on a Friday, and on the following Monday, I found the car was leaking. I confirmed it between Tuesday and Wednesday, parking in a clean spot. I called the Service Center, and they suggested bringing it in as soon as possible for an inspection. I drove there the next day, last Thursday morning, asking to check if the leaking was due to the job they did with the recall or the oil filter change a week before. After 15 minutes, Savannah came and told me it was not related with the work they did with the recall, or with the oil filter. She showed me a photo of the transmission, and she said it was from there. So, this is a new issue, something that was recommended maintenance in April of this year during a multipoint inspection during an oil filter change. But it was really strange, because I have been using the car since then, without issues. I even did a full trip to Miami and back in July (more than 2000 mi on the route) and there was no leaking. I'm not saying this was intentionally done, I'm still amazed about the coincidence. The recommendation now is to replace the Transmission Pan Gasket. I understand that. No problem there. I asked for a quote for this job, planning to do it as soon as possible. But, when I was to sign off, I was charged $201.63. I had to sign that in advance, before they made the diagnostic, stating that I should pay if it is not related to previous repairs. I didn't fully understand why it was that, or the implications. It was a valid concern that a car with no previous record or problem with leaks, started to leak that much just after being a week in the Service Center for a recall. I'm not a mechanic. However, it's valid that it could be break fluid or oil fluid due to the recent recall and maintenance. I don't understand why I was charged $201.63 for just looking at this. No repair was done, and the leak could possibly be related to their previous work. If you do free multipoint inspections when you do oil changes, why are you charging me that much for nothing? I received a quote to repair the Transmission pan gasket for $583.76. It was valid for 30 days. Then Savannah added that if I bring it for repair, the $201.63 I already paid will be discounted from the quote. So, you bite me a third of the money of the quote, forcing me to repair it with you. That looks nasty and unfair. For this reason, I will not do any other business with your Service Center or recommend any more of your services. Your nasty practices cost you a client who was considering buying a new car with you soon. I looked for a mechanic who had already replaced all the parts and inspected the car fully. More
