Awesome customer service I went to Preston Chevy to look at a new cruze and trade in my '13 kia. Although I did not purchase the car due to financing issues (lenders wanted a good amount down due to negative equity, understandable). At the end of the day, the salesman bob was awesome... showed me what I wanted, didn't try and add on options, took me on a test drive first rather than pulling credit and pressuring me and also sat with me far after closing time. Bill Preston was also great, he exhausted all options to try and get me qualified without a million bucks going strictly to negative equity. They were great with my trade in value, great with customer service, and had a lot of lender options. Sure I did not buy a car this time, but i'll see them them when I pay the car down a bit more. Just wanted to drop a line to let you know that my first visit to Preston Chevrolet today for service on my '05 Colorado was a great experience! I recently had a bad experience at Spitzer Chevrolet in North visit to Preston Chevrolet today for service on my '05 Colorado was a great experience! I recently had a bad experience at Spitzer Chevrolet in Northfield, Ohio (where I bought the vehicle new). This is what happened: I recently travelled to Indianapolis, Indiana and realized I was due for 3,000 mile oil change so I went to Blossom Chevrolet in Indianapolis. I also mentioned to them that I keep having to replace the bulb for the driver side turn signal. They identified that the socket was bad due to probable moisture getting into the housing. I agreed and had noticed moisture in there in recent times. They quoted me for the drivers side turn signal harness and housing but I declined b/c I wanted to have the work done at home. I went straight to Spitzer when I got home and they told me I had to replace a harness that went across the front of the engine compartment and included the passenger side which costs $350.00 for just the part. I told them that is not the case b/c I had been to another dealership and they quoted me $27.77 for just the driver side harness. They told me that Indianapolis was probably going to splice it or they were quoting me aftermarket parts. I called the dealership in Indianapolis in front of the parts manager at Spitzer and got the part number. He "suddenly was able to see that part on his computer". I will never go back to Spitzer or buy a vehicle there. Don't trust them.... and since when do I have to find the part number!! Anyway, Brian Harry worked on my truck today and now I will be coming to Preston for all my Colorado needs and maybe even buy a new vehicle there when it's time. Brian took the time to show me everything and gave me options. I felt I was given the real deal in that he was honest, fair, and reasonable with my repairs. Brian, you will be getting to know my Colorado in the future. Hats off to Brian and the service team at Preston. Thanks and have a nice Christmas to all at Preston. I really hate car shopping. I find salesmen to be overbearing almost to the point of harassing. You tell them what you want and they try to put you in something you don't want. I told them what I wanted an what my budget was and they made it happen. Unfortunately 2 weeks later I wrecked the car I had just bought so now I am heading back to go buy another. But the point is, I'm going back to Preston!! More
We were in search of a Ford Transit, although they did not have one instock, they had it transferred from another dealership within 24 hours. I had not purchased a new car since 1979 and never did enjoy the process in the past. Mike my salesman was very good and showed me all the promotions that were available with out me even asking. They had better pricing than I had received from another dealer. The follow up after the purchase was just great. In the old days I shook hands with the salesman and never heard from him or the dealership again. At Preston they called me, wrote letters, and sent emails to make sure that I was happy with the car. The car is a Chevrolet Cruze, and my wife and I love this car, probably that best built car we have ever owned. Months later we purchased another Cruze for my sister-in-law as she loves the car also. I would highly recommend Preston Superstores to anyone. Rich Jordan More
