We just purchased our third Volvo from Prestige Volvo because of their consistently excellent quality of customer service and a deal we couldn't resist! Matt gave us specific details regarding the S80 3 because of their consistently excellent quality of customer service and a deal we couldn't resist! Matt gave us specific details regarding the S80 3.2 compared to the T6, arranged a test drive within minutes and provided us with alternatives regarding use of the rebates offered and the 0% financing promotion. We received a fair value for our trade-in. Joel showed us the various features within the vehicle and provided a tutorial regarding functions. I have been a Volvo S60 lessee for 3 years. With my lease expiring within a month I returned to Prestige to consider a new Volvo having shopped extensively for Audi A4, Volkswagen CC, & Infiniti G37, a lease expiring within a month I returned to Prestige to consider a new Volvo having shopped extensively for Audi A4, Volkswagen CC, & Infiniti G37, all of which were comparable or lower priced vehicles when compared to the S80. No other dealer came close to Prestige as Matt Haiken, the sales manager put together an absolutely unbeatable deal resulting in my new lease for a top of the line S80! I now pay less for the S80 than I did for the S60 and he could not have been more professional, friendly and considerate. I still do not know how it was possible. What would normally be a stressful negotiation became a deal that was impossible to walk away from. He went beyond expectation to negotiate with my leasing company to purchase my S60 well below my lease buyout giving me the benefit of his better tradein price to lower my capital cost reduction 90%. He worked all angles to get me a the car. I've been extremely satisfied with service in the past and would highly recommend Prestige to everyone. We had a wonderful experience at Prestige Volvo. We previously owned a Volvo for 11 years prior to our purchase and knew we wanted another Volvo. Our salesman Chris Parada was excellent. During the sales process, he took the time with us to explain the different types of engine in the model we were looking at and reviewed all the options in the car. He really worked with us so we were able to purchase the Volvo XC60 we wanted with all the options we wanted within our budget. The timing of the transaction was impecable, we were able to have the financing approved the next day and pick up our car the following day. When we picked up the car, Chris spent the time with us to go over every feature in the car and synch in our phones on the bluetooth. It was never so easy to purchase a car! We were also very impressed with the Prestige Dealership and all of the ammenities offered to the customers, such as loaner cars, pick up from your home to have your car serviced, and a service to drive you to work if you drop off your car. The dealership also washes your car when it comes in for service. The dealership and salesman Chris Parada are top notch and we give them a rating of 110%. We highly reccommend the Prestige Volvo dealership to anyone who is interested in buying a car. More
I recently acquired a 2011 C 70. Everyone at Prestige was both professional and courteous. Matt, the General Manager was helpful in closing the transaction. Delivery of the vehicle went smoothly. The vehicle was clean, both on the inside and outside. Joel went through all the features including the navigation system, explaining all the features and controls. When i call the next day with a question, i received a prompt reply. A few days after delivery, i received a call from Matt inquiring as to how i liked the vehicle. The dealership's receptionists are friendly, courteous and efficient. I would strongly recommend Prestige Volvo to any prospective customer. More
We went to East Hanover Volvo (Prestige Volvo) to look over their used Volvo selections. We spotted a used base-model 2008 S80 with 20+K miles and began talking with Rich Curto about the differences betw over their used Volvo selections. We spotted a used base-model 2008 S80 with 20+K miles and began talking with Rich Curto about the differences between CPO and factory warranties. Rich told us the car did not come with the balance of the factory warranty, then he retracted his statement when I pointed to the window sticker and asked him to explain why the window sticker said it did. Everyone can make an honest mistake, sure, but as the conversation went on, we felt Rich was being purposefully obscure about whether or not the car carried the balance of the factory warranty or whether it was a CPO car (and whether or not it, like some other offerings on the lot, had undergone the CPO process already) so that this could be leveraged to the dealership's advantage should we decide to make an offer on the car. At the conversations end, we still didn’t know what type, if any, warranties came with the car. After that miserable exchange, we reluctantly agreed to test drive the white 2008 S80 knowing full well the dealership was asking $4K more for the car than the Edmund’s TMV estimate for that particular car. Yes, I do price research before I set foot on a car lot. While on the test drive, hardly anything about the car was explained to us. The car was filthy. It look like someone splattered coffee on the roof liner and passenger-side sun shade. We were told they would “clean it up if we decided to purchase it”. Gee, thanks. You would think they would address some of the more obvious dirt prior to displaying a car for sale. Guess not. The ride of the car was wishy-washy and when I made mention of this I was told, “that’s how the car rides, it’s used, after all”. Well, no, I don’t buy it because I drove an S80 at another dealership and the ride was superb. After the test drive we were ushered inside. Feeling uncomfortable with this experience we told Rich we were headed to Ramsey Volvo. Rich asked us what it would take to get us to take the white S80 and “forget about Ramsey”. We didn’t even like the car and he was still trying to sell it to us. Perhaps he should’ve listened to our feedback and recommend another car on the lot but no, he instead asked us what we wanted to pay for the car we just told him we didn’t like. I understand the need to make a sale; I don’t appreciate the tactics employed. We half-heartedly offered a number and was immediately told it would take at least $1K more, minimum, to get the car and then endured a re-hash of the CPO vs. factory warranty cost mish-mash from before. I knew full well what they wanted for a sale price was still above the Edmunds TMV and Kelly Blue Book resale retail value for the car, nevermind the fact that I didn’t like the way the car drove and would not have purchased it anyway. In my opinion, Prestige Volvo does not competitively price their used vehicle inventory. In this particular case, we found Rich to be uninformed about the car, so much so, that we felt the dealership was shady and felt uncomfortable continuing to pursue a vehicle purchase there. Maybe Rich was just having a bad day. Anyway, we left and went to Ramsey and had a wonderful experience. I am loving the car I purchased from Ramsey Volvo! 9June2010: ammendment: Matthew Haiken reached out to me after reading this review; assured me this experience is not the norm for his dealership and offered to make it right any way he could. I appreciate that Volvo East Hanover takes their customer service experiences seriously. For now the best resolution is for the dealership to take the feedback provided and ensure my experience is not repeated in the future. More
