Abysmal APPOINTMENT experience If I could give no stars that would be too high. I normally have my Volvo serviced at Vovlo of Edison but being 28 miles away I thought I would give If I could give no stars that would be too high. I normally have my Volvo serviced at Vovlo of Edison but being 28 miles away I thought I would give my local dealer a shot at some service work. What a collasal waste of my time. I made an APPOINTMENT for 10:00. When I arrived at my APPOINTMENT time I could tell they were very busy. It took Jack 15 minutes to get me "checked in" partly because he wrote down the VIN number incorrectly and the fact that he seemed to be bragging to one of the mechanics about some customer agreeing to 6 hours to fix their brakes, like it was some sort of a game to see how many hours he could get away with charging the customer and he won. Ok no big deal for me but I felt sorry for that other chap, 6 hours and $1,931 plus tax seems pretty high to fix brakes. I told him I had made the APPOINTMENT for 10:00 and when I did so I asked the young lady how long it would be before they had my car being looked at for what was wrong with it. She assured me that once they had me "checked in" it would be within 30 minutes if not sooner. Jack now tells me that they are really busy and that it might be 90 minutes before they can look at my car. What?, I asked. I thought the idea of making an APPOINTMENT was so that I didn't have to wait for others that didn't make an APPOINTMENT. Jack then told me that the making of the APPOINTMENT was solely for THEIR benefit so they knew who was coming in that day. Doesn't seem to work that way at the Volvo dealership in Edison just so you know. Since I was there I decided to wait it out as I felt I had already invested enough time and effort in getting to that point. Their customer lounge consists of 4 chairs and a TV on the floor in a box. Perhaps they should hang it on the wall if they expect their customers to wait for other customers that don't make APPOINTMENTS? At this point I was very frustrated with Jack and the whole process, then he hits me square between the eyes with "I am sure they told you when you made your APPOINTMENT (you mean the APPOINTMENT that meant nothing to me, yeah that one) that it will be $158 for them to diagnose what was wrong with my car. I told Jack that the young lady DID NOT TELL ME THAT and that I was going to leave. Do yourself a favor and find another dealer to service your Vovlo. More

Exceptional Service I brought my XC60 in for service and as always the Service Department was exceptional! I had several questions and Tami answered all of them and went I brought my XC60 in for service and as always the Service Department was exceptional! I had several questions and Tami answered all of them and went above and beyond to explain things to me that I did not quite understand. I would recommend this dealership to all my friends and family because the people that work here really do care about the customers. Friendly, professional and courteous!!! More

I told him what I was going to use the car for and what options I needed and he pointed me in the right direction. The process was smooth and hassle free. They made me feel comfortable the entire time and I even got a chance to sit down with the GM. I would definitely buy from them again. More

Without question, hassle, awkward glances and comments, the entire staff, including sales & service, bent over backwards to get it fixed without charge to me. Kudos to Tami, Patrick, Frank, Ed and Ralph at Prestige Volvo Englewood for their gracious and considerate attention. Bill Whited is the gem! Bill is the type of car salesman that you feel like family. He took his time during the test drive to help me decide between T5 and T6. He was respect Bill is the type of car salesman that you feel like family. He took his time during the test drive to help me decide between T5 and T6. He was respectful of our budget and didn't just sell me what's on the lot. He tracked down the model/color that we wanted and was transparent through the whole process. He took the time to go over every feature of the redesign and even followed up after we had an issue post-delivery. He is a true gentleman that is looking to build a relationship not just a quick sale. More
