Or did prestige tell me I needed work that I really didn’t need? I suspect that Schumaker really did not do the work given my impression of both service departments, I am going to call Schumaker and ask that they refund the cost of those services that I theoretically received in January. I had already decided to stop taking my vehicle to Schumacher, because their department is so Helter skelter, they didn’t have someone who knew how to drive a stick shift, and they cross threaded the drain plug on my oil pan. More
We got quoted $4200 to fix the antenna plus then charged $200 diagnostic fee. Quote from local body shop was $750. Also an unwillingness to test if existing antenna still worked. Everyone is nice but this is the second time bringing my car in for this issue and the second part that broke and needs to be replaced under warranty. However, no loaners for another month so now I have to go even longer without full use of my vehicle - for the second time. Not only should things not continue to break but there should be loaners available. The response I get is that there is a shuttle to the train but that doesn’t help me when I work no machete near the train. Makes buying another vehicle from this dealer a difficult proposition. More
