First let me say I’ve been a customer of Prestige Toyota in Kingston, NY 12401 since 2002. On 05/19/2021, I brought my 2018 Tacoma that I bought from them brand new, for a NY state inspection. I got home an in Kingston, NY 12401 since 2002. On 05/19/2021, I brought my 2018 Tacoma that I bought from them brand new, for a NY state inspection. I got home and noticed someone hit my truck. I called Prestige they said they saw a mark on it when it came in on there pictures. I reviewed my dash cam videos, to find out that was a lie. I then called Eric Eisgruber, and told him I had video showing one of there employees damaging my truck. I went back I calmly and discreetly asked him to come outside, so no other customers could hear us talk. After showing him and another adviser the damage, Eric said that’s not what they saw, they saw a small mark that’s no longer there. He said that they damaged the truck, and would fix it. I then went home, got an estimate, sent him the videos not only showing his employee damaging my truck, but telling other employees, and NO one reported it. The videos also show the employee saying xxxx the customer he will never realize we did it. Eric then said that he would only pay $300.00 to fix my truck, when my estimate was for $618.52, I told him that’s not expectable and I will be sending the videos to my insurance company and they can go after him. About an hour after I reported this to my insurance company, low and behold I get a call from Eric, now he wants to get the part and pay my body shop $300.00 for the fix. My body shop spelled out exactly what the cost were with and with out the replacement part, and they were more then $300.00. So I told Eric they damaged my truck and tried to cover it up, now I want it fixed by someone I trust, since the truck cost my $44,000.00 and had not even a tinny scratch till they damaged it. I also told him that since 2002, I myself and 6 other family members have bought multiple vehicles from them costing over $500,000.000, not to mention service repairs, tune ups and maintenance. Now after the way I was treated non of them will be returning to them for anything including new vehicles. I’ve bought 3 Tacoma’s, my brother bought 2 Santafa’s and others have bought corolla’s, and Camry’s. So over $300.00 this dealer ship which was 100% video proven at fault, has lost more then $200,000.00 in return business not to mention possible new business, and regular maintenance. I tried to keep this between me and Prestige Toyota and not involve insurance companies, but now there involved, and Prestige will get this story posted anyplace I can, and in the end they will have to pay the $618.52 anyway. I’m so glad that after 19 years this is the way Prestige Toyota of Kingston, NY 12401 treats so called valued customers. I trust and believe in the Toyota name, but this dealership is not trust worthy nor believable. PLEASE make sure you do your home work if you use this dealer, and make sure you inspect your vehicle before you get there and before you leave. More
I want to thank the Prestige team of Gerry and Kayla, they were awesome. Gerry Fraenkel was professional, knowledgeable and patient. Prestige Toyota has the best people which is why this is the second vehicle we have bought there. Gerry in sales is approachable, knowledgeable, and always makes himself available. I just got my second Rav 4 yesterday from Gerry Fraenkel. He sold me my first one and was so professional and knowledgeable and addressed all my needs so, of course, I had to go back to him again. As expected, he was pleasant and handled all the minor details right down to setting my favorite radio stations and setting up my smart phone. When I am ready for another car, it will be Gerry I go to. BTW, rest of the staff is so friendly and helpful. More
