Absolutely no customer service skills Today, July 20, 2018, I went to the Prestige Subaru dealership in Turnersville, NJ to trade in my 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek Today, July 20, 2018, I went to the Prestige Subaru dealership in Turnersville, NJ to trade in my 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. I received an email from Prestige's "online sales manager" Joe Torres in early July. The email concerned upgrading to a 2018 model for near what I am already paying. Today I decided to go, with the intention of doing a trade (emptied everything from my Crosstrek). When I arrived at 10:58 am, I walked around the front lot and all they had were used vehicles. I walked to the back lot, where I had found my 2015 Crosstrek three years ago, I saw four Crosstreks. A representative of Prestige was walking and asked if anyone was assisting me. I responded "no" and asked it these were the only Crosstreks. He mentioned there may be some elsewhere and that they were quick sellers. Then off he went. I walked around the lot for 40 minutes waiting to be assisted. I found a Crosstrek I was interested in and also became interested in an Outback model they had. Since nobody came to assist me after 40 minutes, I left, with my 2015 Crosstrek and a distaste for Prestige. When I arrived back home, I went to the email Mr. Torres sent me and replied to it with a description of my experience. Some time later, I had a voicemail from Mr. Torres asking me to give him a call to discuss what happened. I called Mr. Torres and in the first 20 seconds of our conversation he told me I should have called to set up an appointment so something like this wouldn't happen. He said 98% of customers call. After he said this I kept silent for a few seconds, wondering why I was suddenly to blame for their lack of service or consideration. When I didn't respond, Mr. Torres asked if I were still there. I let him know I was but I still couldn't fathom how a "manager" could blame the customer. The call was disconnected and I went back to the email and again replied to it pointing out that the invitation read call or stop by. He then responded he only wanted to "get involved to set up an appointment to meet with our Subaru sales manager". Before they can get me to buy a car, they need to repair their xxxx-poor service skills. You don't ask someone if they are being assisted and then disappear when they say "no". You don't blame the customer for not making an appointment when the initial email read to "call or stop by". More

We arrived shortly before they were supposed to close and were greeted in a very friendly manner. Jason Cohen was our salesman and he was outstanding. He took the time with my mom. There was no pressure, no rush and no pushy sales tactics. He was very friendly, patient and professional. He stayed late after closing hours to finish her deal with us without an attitude or even a hint of trying to rush us out of there. I can’t say enough good things about the dealership, the staff and the experience as a whole. This is how car buying should be!! More

Our salesman, Harris Schulman, treated us like old friends. He has a great sense of humor which matched our own. He really understood our needs and worked long and hard (and patiently!) to meet them. We had his full attention. He never tried to rush us or to attend to other business. When we finally agreed on the deal it came out better than he promised -- the lower than anticipated interest rate lowered our monthly payment. When we dealt with business manager Jennifer Pinto I was expecting the worst but she was a dream. She went through our paperwork efficiently and pleasantly. She told us about all of the options for extended service plans but she placed us under absolutely no pressure to buy anything else and we did not. The whole experience was remarkably pleasant from start to finish. More
