Clean cars We had gone to 3 other car dealerships and noticed that Prestige Motor Works cars seemed to be in much nicer condition and cleaner than other dealers. We had gone to 3 other car dealerships and noticed that Prestige Motor Works cars seemed to be in much nicer condition and cleaner than other dealers. We bought a Sprinter van with 179,000 miles about 6 months ago. We've put about 20,000 miles on the car since then and have not had to do any repairs. I bought my car about 4 months ago from this dealership and just came in for my first oil change. I haven't had any problems or issues with it to date. We saw the car listed on Craigslist where it said it and just came in for my first oil change. I haven't had any problems or issues with it to date. We saw the car listed on Craigslist where it said it was a no haggle cash price. We did try to haggle though anyways... At which point the owner offered to remove the 3 month warranty and offered a $150. Heck no! I'm not taking my chances on $150. I opted to keep their warranty and paid their asking price, although they gave me my first oil change for free :) It was still a good deal and I'm very happy. I would definably recommend this dealership to my friends or family. More
Made offer on what was listed as a certified used vehicle. Found out there is a catch to that, Alex said if you haggle with me it will no longer be certified. Well..so be it. He had accepted an the o vehicle. Found out there is a catch to that, Alex said if you haggle with me it will no longer be certified. Well..so be it. He had accepted an the offer on line I made then when I tried to line up a time to come see the car he had slotted another client ahead of me, one which I might add didn't show up he said, that right there was upsetting enough and should of been my first clue that everything is not on the level at this dealership, but my husband and I who are in our 60s took a leap of faith and decided to come in with the cash in hand and try to buy this little car anyway. Husband drove it, ran out of gas 2 blocks away, apparently a common ocurrence and I gotta give kuddos to the staff...(ie) the girl who rode with us, sorry didn't catch her name...very friendly and entertaining while we waited on one of the staff to bring the gas. Then back on our test drive and found it bounced pretty bad from the back tires and that there was a pretty fierce idler pulley noise coming from under the hood, both of which were confirmed by Alex and the mechanic when we got back from test drive. So with all this we still would of loved to have bought this little fun summer car, but was told #1 you can take and put new tires on yourself and #2 you can fix the idler pulley yourself...keep in mind we're in our 60s and not able to do this sort of thing. So we made a 2nd offer of...$5,000. out the door...this amounted to $200. less than our original offer which was turned down and when I asked why...Alex said quote..."200 dollars is 200 dollars. More
This was my first car-buying experience in nearly a decade, so I was a shaky mixture of excitement and trepidation. Alex was sincere and down to earth, straightforward, and really took the time to get decade, so I was a shaky mixture of excitement and trepidation. Alex was sincere and down to earth, straightforward, and really took the time to get to know what I was looking for. Time and again, he answered my questions and was extremely patient with me, always willing to offer any information or opinions I needed. It was a true pleasure to get to know him and his staff, and to even chat with other customers, who were equally as pleased. I definitely felt reassured that I could come back immediately if there were any problems at all, which is a rare thing when you are talking about cars under a particular price point. Most other dealers would tell you it is 'as is' and then you're on your own. From my experience, Alex demonstrates an honest interest in helping customers find the right car for them, and guiding them through the process. I am extremely pleased with my purchase, and would recommend this dealership. More
I had been looking for a used car for my 18 year old son for over 3 weeks and wasn't having luck finding a good one that was reliable, for approximately $4,500. I went to see the 2001 Saab that Alex had on for over 3 weeks and wasn't having luck finding a good one that was reliable, for approximately $4,500. I went to see the 2001 Saab that Alex had on his lot. I asked if we could have the car checked out at a Firestone dealership, just so that I knew what I was getting into (I had already seen the carfax and it seemed like a pretty clean car with approximately 103,000 miles, which is what I was looking for). He not only agreed, but he also said that he would meet me there to show me the car (he knew that I would like the way the car looked...again, very clean looking car). The car checked out and we made the deal happen. My son and I drove the car home that afternoon and so far, we are very happy with it. Based on our experience last week, we would recommend anyone looking for a used car go to Alex at Prestige (and not buying from an individual owner unless you know the owner really well...lots of pretty looking cars out there, that are actually 'lemons' under the hood and where the suspension is concerned). I happened to stumble upon a fairly rare car I was looking for, and luckily Prestige had it! Communication was excellent, and they made a great deal for us! We left feeling great about our deal and we LOVE our Insight! We will definitely contact Prestige first when we are looking for our next car! I have already recommended them to several colleagues! Even though this is primarily a second chance financing dealership, they had the vehicle I was looking for, so I purchased a 1998 Camaro with a V6 from them in April 2011. I have put approximately 5000 mil dealership, they had the vehicle I was looking for, so I purchased a 1998 Camaro with a V6 from them in April 2011. I have put approximately 5000 miles on the vehicle in the 11 months since then, and it has needed the following work done to it: Control arm bushings (both sides - they were just flopping around) Driver side wheel bearing Intake manifold gasket Valve cover gaskets Drive belt tensioner Oil pan gasket Rear main seal Rear differential overhaul Rear axle bearings New set of rims and tires (3 tires would consistently lose air due to damaged rims)New rotors and brake assemblies (rotors were rotted) New Alternator New idler pulley and serpentine belt Passenger side tie rod ball joint Rear stabilizer bar (broken) The odds of all of these items going bad within 5000 miles of each other is highly unlikely. The inspection that is supposedly done on each vehicle is obviously not done. They forced me to take a 24 month warranty, and that should have been my first clue. The warranty only covered about 1/4 of these repairs ($700 out of $3500). Stay away from this dealership. More
Purchased a car with an extended warranty. Car ran and looked great. Alex and Gleb are both very easy going, polite and made the purchasing process simple. Great car salesman qualities. They claim to do a looked great. Alex and Gleb are both very easy going, polite and made the purchasing process simple. Great car salesman qualities. They claim to do a 61 pt, check on the vehicles, but I do not think that includes any engine diagnostics. After writing the deposit check we were imformed that the ball joints would need to be replaced at our expense. Within 77 miles of driving it off the lot the Check Engine Light came on, which is the approximate mileage it will continue to come on once the codes are cleared if the problem is not repaired. It took 5 visits and 2 months later to finally resolve the issue and have the proper part replaced. During that time there were 2 other parts that failed and needed to be replaced. We were satisfied with those arrangements. However the CEL is back on related to the original problem that arose the 2nd day we owned the car. We are approaching our 3 months/3000 warranty deadline. We never would have purchased a car with the CEL on, I am not a believer in posting negative comments but when dealing with a substantial purchase such as a car I think others should know the good as well as the bad. The warranty is VERY limited. More
