The process was easy, but when I got my Jeep home, I found out there was a leak in the engine that will cost thousands to fix. The rotors are all rusted out and the break pads on the back are nearly gone. The underneath is a hot mess needing several pieces replaced from rust. Under the hood was so dirty with a corroded battery and no fluids were filled. All in all, I believe the dealership screwed me over by not showing me these things. I didn’t ask enough questions as I assumed they were reputable and not a dinky corner of a parking lot dealership. We called about the engine and even though the leak will cause several engine components to fail in the next year; because it isn’t failing yet we have been told it’s not their problem. I asked how to get the top down (never owning a Jeep before) and was told to look it up on YouTube. PS: had to buy a new one as this one basically fell apart as it came down and wouldn’t go back up. The Jeep was delivered to my home for me, which I appreciate, and the windshield was replaced as promised. I have purchased about 11 vehicles from dealerships in my time and this has been the only time the vehicle wasn’t detailed and cleaned. We didn’t ask some of the right questions. However, there are common courtesies I’ve come to expect. The biggest issue is my engine will likely crap out and they do not care. If they chose to fix the issue, they would need to, at this point, pay my mechanic here to do it. I do not trust or recommend them. More
So sad! We were not given all the information about what comes with our $49K purchase. Had to drive back for a missing key fob, the alignment was off and brought to their attention the next day. Was told on our BRAND NEW car that part of the alignment troubleshooting would take one of our free tire rotations... such utter ridiculousness when I call and try to get ANY information about what perks I get for my new car. “Just Google ___” “Call back and ask for the service department.” Really, absolutely NO HELP! I feel so sad. Why couldn’t this have been a good experience? We wanted to put $8K down on our card and that was our pan for the hours we sat there waiting for the finance guy to get out paperwork together. When it came down to it, they said they don’t take more than $5K. Punch in the GUT! This is my car and have asked multiple people to put my name and information on the vehicle, but I guess it’s a huge complex finance department fix, so “call back and ask for....” More
