Worst dealership experience I've had in over 30 years of purchasing vehicles. This dealership from the top to the bottom is a reminder of why the "used car salesman" reputation is what it is. They lied and purchasing vehicles. This dealership from the top to the bottom is a reminder of why the "used car salesman" reputation is what it is. They lied and misrepresented the vehicle o make the sale and once the vehicle was delivered they have no time to listen or even attempt to help. Sadly, I live two states away and they know that, therefore don't care about customer service or honoring their commitments. The car I purchased didn't come with the all weather floor mats as advertised. When I contacted my salesman, Hugh, his response was, "that was my mistake". The vehicle had multiple cosmetic, electrical, and structural issues that weren't disclosed, and had to immediately go to my dealership for 5 weeks getting major work done before it was able to be operated safely. Then, once out of service...$1900 and 5 weeks later, I got to drive it 4 days before the temporary tag they had given me expired. I had tried to register the vehicle but a month later I still hadn't received the title to my car. I called and was told they hadn't even requested it from the previous owners lender yet. The title clerk said she would contact them that day (Friday) and have it sent directly to me. 3 weeks later, still no title. I called and left multiple messages with the finance and title departments over several days...no response. I called and spoke with a manager who cut me off to transfer me to the same title clerk I had left messages with and finally spoke with someone who told me the title clerk was currently on the phone with the previous owners lender trying to get my title and that she would contact me. Still nothing. It has now been more than 2 months since I purchased from this dealership and I can't drive the car. I have been mislead and lied to by the salesman, lied to by the manager, and lied to and forgotten about by the title personnel. I should have done more research on this dealership prior to purchasing because there are many other reviews similar to mine. Pay attention to them. More
Do yourself a favor, never buy a car from this dealer. I bought a BMW and in less then one month it broke a control arm. I took it to be serviced there since they claim they warrant their cars for 6 month I bought a BMW and in less then one month it broke a control arm. Two minutes into the dealer and I was told that the warranty would not cover the repair because I hit a hole with the car. The point is that the car barely left my garage and I was the only one that drove the car a couple of times and never hit any hole. Besides that, the mode of failure was not indicating impact. As an engineer with over 27 years of experience in the metal industry, I have the background to point that out. While expressing my dissatisfaction with the situation to the top management at the dealer, I was asked to never take the car there again and to never buy another car from them. Incredible but that was what I heard: “never bring the car here again and I will be happy if you never buy one of our cars again” .The car was fixed and last week (two months after the first event) another control arm broke with no reason while my wife was driving the car. So now, instead of talking about the technical aspect of the break, I ask: what is the odds of breaking 2 control arms in a period of 2 months in the same “good” car being that you have driven other cars for over 30 years without breaking anyone? Sorry to disappoint the experts at Prestige, but as an statistician (in addition to be an engineer I am also a statistician) I can tell that the probability is very very low. For the Prestige Auto Mall owner I would like to remind that employees tend to replicate the behavior of the top management. Behavior tells more than words. An employee that sees a boss disrespecting a costumer will very soon mimic his actions and this is definitively not good for the business… More
