Service department promised to check engine light and to give me a diagnosis within 24 hrs. It took them 3 days to check it and 4 days to do the repairs. My mom's vehicle was brought in at 7AM on A Friday. All the brakes and rotors were being replaced. They advised it would be ready on Friday or by 12PM on Saturday. No one ever called and said the vehicle wouldn't be ready on Friday, this is ok because I'm off on the weekend. I called Saturday for an update, the advisor said he was waiting on a tire sensor and that the car wouldn't be ready until Monday. I informed him I knew nothing about a tire sensor and asked if he had the right car. He informed me he would go check and call back in 30 minutes. In the meantime my mom called him back and he informed her the car was ready for pickup. I get to the dealership to pick up the car, it's not pulled up to the front. The lady at the counter gives me my invoice and it's $500+ over the service estimate I was provided. I go talk to Marcus, the service advisor and he informs me the bill is right. I show him the service invoice on my phone vs. what I was just provided. He informs me the service estimate doesn't include labor on it. Besides the service estimate not including labor, none of the prices of the parts, etc match what was provided to me via the service estimate. He tried to explain something about a cyber attack, not sure what that has to do with pricing. The reason they don't include labor on the estimates is because people don't select it when approving the parts. Seems pretty deceptive that you sign off on one thing but when you get to the dealership it's a different price. That just needs to be included or if it's not included they should include a disclaimer saying this doesn't include labor. Maybe I've been under a rock but in the past a service invoice has always included labor and parts. My mom goes to get in the car and the advisor informs her that if I was nicer maybe he would have given me a discount. So in my mind he could have charged me what was on the estimate. Yes I had an attitude because I was hit with a bill that was 50% more than the estimate. I go back in to talk to the General Manager and he was no help. He was nice though. He basically said they're going to fix it, how they do service estimates I guess. To Note: The guy in front of me was over charged ~$300 dollars. The advisor was able to adjust that. Also, while I was waiting in the parking lot a couple in a Mazda also had an issue with the dealership. They needed a fuse but the dealership changed some wires without their approval and tried to get them to pay for it. They were in the dealership for hours. Oh and the the car was ready on Friday but no one called us. I guess people who work there are nice but the have no solutions and the have horrible business practices. If I couldn't afford to pay the difference for my mom maybe we wouldn't have been able to take the car home. Definitely not going back here. More
