We saw your review this morning and, it is obviously what we don’t want to see – especially from such a long standing customer. Our owner personally knows your family from Greater New Haven community involvement. We pulled our phone records and the text messages – as we do retain them for quality assurance. We can see that Maegan called twice and left you one message and attempted contact with you on Saturday afternoon to clarify a pickup time and advise that we were closed on Monday for the holiday. She waited until 4:30pm – about ½ hour after our closing time before leaving for the day as she had not heard back from you. The text messages that you sent in where on Sunday and Monday – two days that we were closed. Typically, we are not closed two days in a row – but, given it was Labor Day – Our company made the decision to give our team a well needed rest. We did publicize this on our website, Google and social media. We certainly apologize for any communication issue. Without question, we care about our customer experiences and, have tools – phone, text messages and emails – in order to keep contact with our customers – as best as we possibly can. Your family has been customers for many years – and, we have always done whatever we could to ensure we exceed the expectations of our customers. We are certainly sorry for the confusion and, would like to pay for your next oil change service as a small token of our appreciation of your business.

I appreciate you reaching out on the matter and wanted to clarify a few things you posted above. Maegan did call me twice, first to confirm the addition of new tires, break pads, and filters to my vehicle on top of my service. When I asked about this addition, I made sure that the car would still be able to picked up that day. I also expressed that I could come in on Monday to pick up the car, even though it was a holiday, If the service area was open. Maegan absolutely assured me that the car would be done same day (on Saturday), but it would work even better for the company for me to come get the car on Monday, so I planned on that. Maegan also assured me she would text me as soon as the car was ready. I did not see Maegan’s next call until around 4:30 that Saturday evening as I was at friends event and under the impression the service area closed at 3 during the holiday. Even if I left immediately to get the car at 2:40 when the call came in, I would have been too late to pick up the car and was left with no choice but to wait until Tuesday. Maegan’s voicemail also indicated that she was now not sure if the car would even be ready by the end of the day on Saturday, although she had assured me otherwise. As soon as I saw Meagan’s text to me on Saturday, I responded immediately that evening around 5pm, trying to make a plan and explaining my situation. From that point forward it was radio silence, with no help or clarifying information from the company. I never received a call or text indicating the car was ready either. I am happy to provide screenshots of the conversation and voicemail if that would be of any help. I appreciate that it was Labor Day and that your company wants to give your employees well deserved time off. But this was not my error and I was hung out to dry by the company, forced to cope with the ramifications of your mistake. I appreciate you wanting to correct the situation with the offer of an complimentary oil change and I know my family has been loyal customers as we have long valued your services and business. However, your company’s actions and the lukewarm response to them this weekend stranded me in a tough situation and put my job/livelihood at risk. I cannot take that risk in the future and will not be going back to your establishment.

@Rosalynlenban - Your review is very disappointing. While we know it was your first time with our dealership - the team did all we could under the circumstances - and with your ongoing requests. When you dropped the vehicle off - the appointment was originally made for the incorrect recall on the vehicle. Rather than a computer update - your vehicle required a catalytic converter recall. We certainly apologized for the incorrect recall being written up - and, provided you with a courtesy vehicle as we proceeded with the correct - catalytic converter recall. We identified the correct recall and proceeded with the repair. When our technicians went to remove the existing catalytic converter - the oxygen sensor was seized in the old converter and required replacement. Due to the current parts supply shortages - that part was not in stock and was ordered - from Subaru - on an emergency basis. We obtained that part and completed the repair. Approximately, 2 days after you picked up the car - you called to indicate that your backup camera was broken and attempted to indicate that the breakage of this item was connected with the catalytic converter recall. We indicated that it was not (we also watched the video of your vehicle in our department for the entire time and saw that we did not touch that area of your vehicle). Brian indicated to you that, if you came back to our dealership - we could look at the backup camera and, reposition it if there was an issue - of which we did. Premier Subaru did not break any parts on your vehicle. The oxygen sensor was seized in the catalytic converter - and, we were able to get all of that covered for you under the catalytic recalls. We provided you with a loaner car throughout this time - and, did our best to complete the repair in a timely manner. As for mask wearing, Premier Subaru has held the safety of our customers and employees during COVID19 to the highest of standards. We have followed CDC guidelines - and, during your visit, those guidelines do not require the use of a mask by individuals unless there is extraneous circumstances. We have done our absolute best with alternative transportation for our customers. We do with you the best in the future.
