Ms. Niles/ It is unfortunate that you feel this way - and, we have a window to our entire service department so that you can always see the transparent ways we do business. For clarification, our company actually went outside of standard policy and, agreed to mount and balance the four tires that you provided. As is typical in a tire mounting - since used tires are a regulated waste - we placed your old tires in our recycle area for our provider to obtain. In more than 6 years of being in business, you are the first customer that asked for the used tires back. It was not a problem, but, we had to reclaim them from the recycle area. We provided them to you without question. You paid $215 (after tax) today, which, including a oil change service, mounting and balancing four tires and an alignment. We would encourage you to shop these services anywhere else - as, these are all competitively priced. We offered you a cabin air filter replacement, as, yours was dirty and required replacement. We only use genuine Kia parts - and, you cannot purchase a genuine Kia cabin air filter installed for $8 anywhere. Our Kia dealership is the only one approved by the AAA for Kia Service in the State of Connecticut. We are proud of this designation and for the integrity we evidence. But, to call us "shady, shady sheisters" is completely unfair. Of note, we know that you go to the University of New Haven. Please note the name of the administration building - it was named after our founder who donated significant time and dollars to that school - who believes in giving back to the communities in which we serve. Hardly the actions of a sheister. We wish you the best in the future.

Why would the service advisor ask if I wanted to keep my old tires in the first place if they were just going to be taken and “recycled”. I just find that a little odd...

Ms. Niles/ Customers are always entitled to the used parts. With the exception of winter tire changeovers, we have never had a customer take their old and unsafe tires due to liability. There is a significant liability to you if you sell these used tires - as, the liability remains with you if someone who purchased them used them - and, we are sure you wouldn't want someone to use old and unsafe tires.. Also - they can be tracked based on the DOT numbers on the sidewalls - since those are recorded with the owner of record with NHTSA. So, the improper disposal not only hurts the environment - but, can be fined. We actually have to pay - per tire - to ensure the proper destruction and recycling of tire. Best wishes in the future.

While we understand the frustration of a failure – our dealership has been proactive every step of the way. That is our responsibility to you - our customer and, that is what we have done. The repairs were done under warranty and, you were provided with a new vehicle during the time in which the repairs were being completed. We requested expedited handling of the replacement parts -and, upon their arrival - put your vehicle first in queue for repair. We also engaged Kia Consumer Affairs to provide additional consultation to us – and, requested that they contact you in order to “make sure you are happy”. We understand the concerns of a major replacement part on a new vehicle - and, we wanted this to be handled the right way. The Premier Kia team has worked hard to ensure you had minimal disruption during this unfortunate event and, your vehicle remains covered under a lifetime powertrain warranty to ensure your complete satisfaction – and, minimal financial impact in the event of a critical failure now – and, years down the road. We will forward your comments to Kia Consumer Affairs – and, they can discuss this matter from here. We must draw the line at one of respect and, we are not willing to provide further assistance to someone that exhibits less than professional behavior to our team members.

UPDATE-I find your response humorous. There was no outburst this morning when I arrived to have my new car looked at yet again. When I was told that unless my husband removed his negative review you would not touch my vehicle I was quite taken aback. There was no yelling or disrespect, all I said was now your dealership does suck. Before that it was just the vehicle. How dare you try and make it seem like I had some sort of crazy outburst. It truly amazes me your lack of respect for your customers, as I have read, I am not the first you have pulled this tactic with. I have also contacted Kia consumer affairs and hope they are more professional than you. I also read on your website today that the owner would like feedback even criticism, clearly that is not true as any criticism seems to then illicit a response that disparages the customer, because of course the dealership cannot be at fault.
