Mr. Marquis, Your review isn't fair - nor is it accurate. As you know, from the BBB file in this matter, which was closed in our favor, we have made every effort to accommodate you. You took delivery of your vehicle on September 7th. Prior to delivery, Premier Kia invested more than $1,000 into the reconditioning of this vehicle, including new rear brakes. The front brakes were well in excess of replacement standards. Due to the age of the vehicle, in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, the vehicle was sold "AS IS". You executed this acknowledgement numerous times. Premier Kia provided to you - for piece of mind - at no charge - a 6 month/6.000 mile nationwide limited powertrain warranty and, as you did indicate, you purchased additional warranty coverage. Notwithstanding the "AS IS" conditions of sale, you have been back to our service department twice since you picked up the vehicle. Those concerns included a "check engine light" ( which wasn't under any of the warranties - but, we diagnosed it and cleared it without charge) and, your most recent "bouncing" when braking. This was the concern when you dropped off the car on September 29, 2015. Our certified technician indicated that this was due to a brake pulsation that had begun - and, wasn't present at the time of delivery (otherwise, we would have assumed you would have brought it in earlier than nearly a month after purchase). Brake pulsations are a wear item and, we quoted you a price to repair it. We quoted you a price of $295.50, AND, we then offered you a credit of $150.00 - effectively reducing your net cost to $145.50. You declined this offer. Simultaneous with your declination of our offer to assist, you filed a complaint with the BBB, of which our company is a longtime member and believer in the principals of. We provided the information to the BBB and they closed the case in our favor - indicating that we have done everything we could. This repair you indicated isn't covered under any warranty - but, our company effectively offered to pay half to make you happy. This vehicle is an outstanding car - we did a complete and comprehensive safety inspection (120+ point - not 15 point as you reference). Rotors, in every way, are a wear item and can range from the manner in which you operate your vehicle, to, where it may be stored if there are rust deposits. Premier Kia made every effort to satisfy you - we included a 6 month/6,000 mile nationwide limited powertrain warranty at no charge when you picked up the car - and, completed diagnostics and repairs twice since you owned the car (none of which are covered under warranty) at no charge. We also offered you a $150 credit on the rotor resurfacing job - of which you declined. We are sorry we cannot seemingly make you happy and do wish you the best in the future.

You called our service department on Saturday, August 22nd concerning a problem with your vehicle. Our service department indicated that, we would absolutely have an appointment for you on September 1st (since it was not an emergency) due to our schedule and, we would call you if we could get you in prior to that date. On Monday, August 24th, you came in - absent of an appointment - at 7:30am demanding that we look at your vehicle. You were not happy that our service department couldn't look at your vehicle immediately, nor, accepted that - if you left the car, we would have made every attempt to fit it in during the day to help you. We understand that you live in Meriden and have taken your vehicle to the Kia dealer you reference as you have only taken advantage of the free service we provided you and some warranty claims. Your vehicle is now outside of the warranty provisions. We believe that we have been kind to you and have attempted to work with you. We are sorry that you feel otherwise.

Let me set the record straight. Based on your response, I was never told any of it. 1. I was never told that if I left my car you would have someone look at it if an opening became available that day or any other. 2. There was oil leaking into my spark plugs, how does this not constitute a type of an emergency? Especially, since this same problem was dealt with on another occasion (June 2014) and handled by your service department. Check your records or I can provide you with mine. 3. I did not come in there demanding anything. I did not ask for immediate service. That is a lie. I would like to know what free service you are referring to? I have never been offered or received any free service. Any service I received from the dealership I have paid for, with the exception of any warranty items, which wasn't free since I paid for it(again, I can provide documentation). I used to get my oil changes from Branford on a regular basis, but I found the service lacking even then. The reason I kept going there was because I bought the oil changes in bulk, which was economical for me. Due to lack of customer service, I decided to give my business to the Wallingford dealership. I suggest you conduct further research and check the dealership records because my vehicle is not outside the warranty provisions. You have not been kind or attempted to work with me. To this day I still have not received a phone call from anyone. The only communication has been this review.
