Tommy at Hyundai Is The Only Salesman You'll Actually Love! I shopped for a car to replace my Chevie that got totaled in last year's flooding for about 2 months. I'm not picky on make/model but I was VERY picky I shopped for a car to replace my Chevie that got totaled in last year's flooding for about 2 months. I'm not picky on make/model but I was VERY picky about dealerships - and trust me, I went to them all. I'm a young woman, and couldn't believe some of the dated attitude/sales tactics that the salesmen at many of the other dealerships used on me ("You're a sharp girl, what’s the most you’re willing to pay per month,” "I have a daughter your age, this is the plan I would do for her" and most notably...."I'll just wait for your boyfriend to come back to go over taxes."). I literally felt like I was living in the car sales scene from Fargo. It got so bad that I considered buying off Carvana simply because I didn't want to give business to such xxxxxxxx. Tommy at Hyundai was a breath of fresh air in the midst of this process! Knowing that I wasn't set on a particular model/trim, he allowed me to take my time test driving and asking questions about my options. He was VERY knowledgeable and offered detailed information about products without coming off as pushy. He didn't pull any of the cliche sales tactics the idiots at other dealerships tried on me, and I genuinely felt like he was trying to get me the best prices in order to earn my business. In this market climate where the buyer has access to so much more information on competitor inventory, manufacturer released money factors/residuals, and simplified credit monitoring, I can see why many of the salesmen with outdated skillsets are starting to sweat. Tommy is the only salesman I met who was adapted to dealing with the modern buyer, and the only one who I liked enough personally to give my business to. I decided on a 2019 Tucson, which I LOVE! I get so many compliments from friends saying they hadn’t realized how luxe Hyundai had gotten over the past few years. I was happy with the financing I received, and appreciated the time the finance office allowed me to review the terms/ask questions. If you’re car shopping and are on the verge of buying online because of an experience like I was having, give it one more shot and come by to see Tommy on the Westbank! More
