My mother purchased a convertible Volkswagen Bug from this dealership 2 1/2 years ago. She has had nothing but problems and she purchased the extended warranty on it however Prater has refused to do any this dealership 2 1/2 years ago. She has had nothing but problems and she purchased the extended warranty on it however Prater has refused to do any work on the vehicle. After all the problems she decided to try and trade in last November and be done with it, when she tried she was so shocked at a what a Toyota sales man told her, they could not take her car as a trade as it has a LEMON TITLE! This was the FIRST time my Mom had ever heard about this. BY LAW if a dealer attempts to sale a vehicle that has been classified as a lemon, you MUST inform your customer and MUST have them sign an agreement stating they know of this and so on. THEY DID NOT DO THIS with my mother. Since then she has had MORE problems out of the car and STILL nothing from Prater. They tell her they didn't know, HOWEVER they have a FULL TIME title person reviewing ALL titles on their vehicles?!? They knew this car had a lemon and they know they have screwed up. My mother has come to them twice now and they still have NOT done anything to help her and only want to sale her an OVER PRICED used vehicle. I am sincerely disappointed at a dealership that has been treating my Mother this way. She has NEVER had this experience with a dealership before. And legal action will bet taken!!! PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I did not want to put any star but had to do at least one, they don't deserve that! More
I looked at a couple 1 year old used cars on their lot. They were priced higher than what a new car would have been with the same equipment. I could not get the price lowered to what the blue book had list They were priced higher than what a new car would have been with the same equipment. I could not get the price lowered to what the blue book had listed as the fair retail value. One Charles prater told me he just taken in on a trade owned by a local lady. Later when I ran a car fax I learnt that it was bought at an auction and had been a rental vehicle from up north where they put salt on the roads in the winter time. Thank you Jesus for not letting me get scamed by this place. More
