Power Kia was wonderful in helping finding the perfect car for me. Mike Verton went above and beyond by coming in on his day off to help me with this deal. I went to get gas rebate and we saw this blue kia optima which is the car the color i wanted first David said let see what they can do for you we went in.David kept me informed the whole time and told them which is the car the color i wanted first David said let see what they can do for you we went in.David kept me informed the whole time and told them what i wanted and they worked the numbers so i could get the car i really wanted .David was beyond friendly and he was never pushy. What we both enjoyed while shopping with Al was his attitude. He is very knowledgable about his products. We have purchased many cars over the years and feel great with our purchase at Power Kia. My Aunt is in the process of shopping for a new car.... My Aunt is in the process of shopping for a new car.... We (Mom and I) stopped by Power Kia with my Aunt so she could check out the 2013 Kia Sou My Aunt is in the process of shopping for a new car.... We (Mom and I) stopped by Power Kia with my Aunt so she could check out the 2013 Kia Soul. Al greeted us warmly and showed my Aunt and I around the lot, allowing her to "touch and feel" several Souls while he explained the differences in each model to my Aunt. Afterwards, we went indoors to get some brochures and discuss a few particulars while exploring a nicely loaded 'Plus" model on the showroom floor. Here we met Mike Verton, which was fortunate as by this time my Mom was also actively interested in the Kia Soul. Well... Al and Mike were kept pretty busy for awhile showing the vehicle to, and answering questions from the two ladies. Al and Mike were consumate professionals, fully answering each and every question, while at the same time applying no pressure whatsoever. I rather enjoyed my role as a "spectator," especially since I had expected to be a "referee." My Aunt had experienced "pressure tactics" in the past at other local dealerships; I was there to intercede should that occur. What a pleasant surprise this was NOT necessary at Power Kia. At the time of this writing, my Mom has completed her purchase of a 2013 Soul. Al Severs handled the transaction, and he did an incredible job. Mom knew what she wanted on her Kia, and as we matched that to what was available; Al was a shining star. Mom doesn't get around too well, so Al brought each vehicle to the showroom door so Mom WOULDN'T HAVE TO STRUGGLE WALKING AROUND THE LOT. We didn't ask Al to do that... he just did it. I've never heard of such a thing happening at ANY dealership before. Thanks Al, and thank you Power Kia! More
We were in the beginning stages of looking for a commuter car to travel to the Portland area with. On arrival at the lot, I was not pressured or immediately assaulted with salesmen and this was nice. At my liesure, I met the salesman, Jim Haytus, and he listened and showed me exactly what I was looking for in a car. I decided to test drive and he was very professional. On leaving the lot, he did not pressure or hound my to make any decisions, but offered his card and said the he would be happy to help whenever I was ready to purchase. On return to the lot later with my family, he was just as easy going. He listened to my wife and showed her a car that fit her wants and needs as well. Largely because of his professionalism, we decided to purchase two new vehicles at the same time. In purchase negotiations, he again listened and ensured that we did not have lot of back and forth, getting us reasonable deal in good order. I would recommend this dealership to others based on Jim's salesmanship and attitude toward working in a friendly, easy, manner with his potential clients. Blessings, Don and Hilary Bons More
This was clearly the best and easiest experience I've ever had with a car dealer. I dealt with Ira Cohen, the Internet Sales Manager. I enquired about a new Soul via the Web and negotiated a price via email. No sitting and waiting for the sales manager; no phone calls. Nothing except email. The process took a few days, but it was not unexpected because I was negotiating hard for a very low price. One Kia dealer in Portland routinely advertises a few cars a week at a price that most of the local dealers won't usually touch and Power Kia actually managed to beat that advertised price by a little bit. I live in Portland and have found that some of the Salem dealerships will give you a good deal to lure you to Salem to purchase a new vehicle. After all, they can't really offer other incentive other than price for out of town buyers. But obviously price is a pretty big factor for most purchasers. It was nice not to deal with all the crap that most dealers put buyers through. Ira understood my needs and took care of me. I would be very willing to use Ira again and to use Power Kia again. I hope others might have the same positive experience that I did. More
