Cashier untrained and very cool. Fairly effecient. Last year purchased my 3rd Acura from this dealership. Previous Acura purchases were in St Louis and Scottdale, Arizona. In general I would rate the Don C year purchased my 3rd Acura from this dealership. Previous Acura purchases were in St Louis and Scottdale, Arizona. In general I would rate the Don Carlton people as less friendly than the other dealerships. I am retired and would rate this dealership in the bottom 25% of dozens of new car purchases. More

I contacted all 4 local Acura dealers in Dallas area and while one dealer had a car that matched my needs, the experience working with them did not give me the "warm and fuzzies". They did reach the price I wanted, but I was also looking for a great customer experience, which I didn't feel was forthcoming. I then looked outside the Dallas area and ran across Don Carlton Acura of Tulsa. I contacted the Internet sales manager at Carlton (Mike) and explained what I wanted, the price I wanted and if they could help. The phone experience was terrific... I just felt like these guys valued customers and were very trustworthy. They had a model that I wanted (their on-line inventory was dead on accurate -- and this was not the case with one of the local Dallas dealers). We agreed on terms (on the phone) and then I traveled to Tulsa 5 days later to pick the car up. I was a bit concerned that there would be a "few surprises" – hey, it's a car dealership and there always seems to be a surprise or two... Well, the surprise was there were absolutely no surprises! Everything we talked about on the phone was delivered... no extra hidden stuff, no heavy sales push to something else. Furthermore (and most importantly), the experience dealing with this dealer (from sales to finance) was the type anyone would enjoy and appreciate. Honest, personable and completely focused on customer satisfaction. I completely and whole heartily recommend this dealer to anyone in the Dallas area... don't be restricted to local Dallas dealers if you are looking for a new Acura and a great buying experience. These guys are worth the 3-4 hour drive! More
