OMG,These people are incredible to deal with.I had a recent bankruptcy.This did not stop them from not only getting me approved but getting me approved at a incredible interest rate.It took me 5 dealers recent bankruptcy.This did not stop them from not only getting me approved but getting me approved at a incredible interest rate.It took me 5 dealers to find one that would be able to finance a commercial vehicle for me at all.Everybody said NO! With many inquries on my credit from shopping and a somewhat low credit score, John took my application and called me back in an hour to tell me the incredible news.I was approved! Not only was I approved but with a rate in the 7s after a bankruptcy.I traded out of a high interest loan for a loan that was much more affordable and faverable to even people with good credit.Not only was the rate incredible for my credit portfoio ,They gave me more for my trade than I paid for the car 2 months ago.I cannot say enough about their financing programs.Jay ,who was the one who did the paperwork with my wife and I, was the coolest guy i have ever dealt with in a dealership.John the finance wizard was equally great at his job and i will definatly do buisness with Key Auto Group again!!Thank you guys.I hope that this review makes people think twice about going anywhere else.Thank you very much!! I would like to start off by giving a little back ground. The last vehicle I purchased 4 yrs ago was a great truck and had very little mechanical issues and over all was a good truck, How ever the financeing The last vehicle I purchased 4 yrs ago was a great truck and had very little mechanical issues and over all was a good truck, How ever the financeing and interest rate and the Dealership experience was rediculous and a rip off due to my lack of credit (and some minor hiccups on my credit report) I had and was the only option they gave me at that dealership. They were very forcefull and only cared about getting me in and getting me out no chit chat and no customer service!! Now fast forward 4 yrs and now I am ready to try and get another nice truck minus the terrible rip off interest rate and finance options and hopefully be treated like I am in control of my vehicle buying. Well thankfully I stumbled upon Portsmouth Used Car Superstore!!! From the first phone call from Nick in cutomer relations to the hand shake from Jay after I was financed and handed the keys the experience was nothing less then A++... Friendly staff, no pressure, and up front honesty is what I received! I am honestly shocked to see even one bad review of the staff and the dealership as a whole on this website... Jim (my salesman) was very easy to talk to and ask questions like I knew him for yrs,He didnt care about anything else other then making sure I was comfortable and informed with my choice of truck (2011 Tundra)and keeping me entertained while the paper work was going through. John was up front and honest with me about my trade value on my dodge, Offered me a great price on my truck ( pay off plus some equity in my trade) and worked my financeing with no money down. And Jay in finance was a hoot!... up front and honest, straight to the point and had me crackin up the whole time I was in his office... lol , Very experienced and gave me 3 payment options to choose from..I chose my payment option tweaked it a little bit and I walked out the door with a peice of mind and very happy with my entire car buying experiance. They make car buying quick, easy, and fun... What more could you ask for!!!! Hands down A+++ to all the above mentioned staff!!! Thanks!!!! Jeremy More
A co-worker told me about her experience at this dealership, so my wife and I decided it was worth a shot. I have never given a review for ANY business, let alone a car dealership. But these guys went so far above and beyond, I thought this is the least I could do in hopes others will read this and understand they are not like the typical dealer. When Branden greeted us, he was very laid back, and let us look around without any pressure. A great sense of humor made us forget we were at a dealership. The vehicle we selected was $2,300 LESS than the least expensive we had found prior. He offered us the car-fax without us even asking, and ended up with almost $500 more for our trade than the blue book value. Needless to say we bought the car. Their finance guy was awesome! We have a few credit issues and were turned down a month before at another dealer. He not onky got us approved, but at a rate I never thought possible... I guess that's why his nickname is the guru... I have got to say, I'm not sure if we have ever had an overall customer service experience yhis good from any business. Theres guys are the real deal, and no funny business. (which I waited for the whole time) If you're in the market, you must go see these guys. Oh and they give you lifetime free state inspections as an added bonus. More
I drove 250 miles to redeem my AutoTrader Instant Trade-In offer with this dealership. I was not impressed. I did not sell my car, but I wasted a Saturday and two tanks of gas because of these liars. I was lied to by everyone I spoke to at this dealership. - Despite being told over the phone that a slightly expired offer would still be honored, it was not. I was made to initiate another one at the dealer. - I was also told over the phone that my vehicle was in "high demand" and that they might be able to, in fact, beat the AutoTrader offer. - When I drove 250 miles to show them the vehicle, they stated that they were not interested in selling it on the lot, that they would be liquidating it with AutoTrader, and that I would have to accept their price. Which would have been fine, except that... - Peter Leonardi was the person who inspected the vehicle and he made blatantly false adjustments to the condition, calling for REPLACEMENT of a lightly stained carpet (the stain was demonstrably removable) and REPLACEMENT a scratched/dinged quarter panel (dent was less than 1/4" deep). In other words, I drove out there in good faith to redeem a binding offer I thought was fair. They decided that wasn't good enough, and that they needed to try to rip me off by paying me less money than my car was worth, shampooing a carpet and touching up a panel, and then liquidating it for the original price (which was about $3,000 more than the "adjusted" price). Liars and losers. I walked away, one Saturday and two tanks of gas poorer, because they're liars. The only justice I have is this review, which will hopefully stand out among all the obvious shill reviews. If liars and losers are the type of people you like doing business with, by all means, hit this dealership up! More
For the first time ever, buying a car was an easy and comfortable experience. It was great to finally find a dealer who skips the runaround and simply gets US what we want and how we want it. Along with Jim Delia I was helped and greeted by a very delightful, friendly staff that helped me through the process of buying a used car. I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking to buy a car. My experience could have gone one way or another because of my lack of credit, being only 23 years old. But I was able to drive away with a better vehicle than I expected to end up with because of the diligent effort of the dealer to allow me to leave with what I wanted. I have purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer in the last 2 years and have had great experiences with Jim. There is a reason he has numerous awards in sales. From my first purchase they earned my trust by the experience in selling it to me and then when I had a problem with the vehicle there service was a great experience which led me to going back to purchase the second vehicle, Which was not an easy task but Jim went out of his way to find me the vehicle I specified and pick it up. Purchasing a car was the the least time I have spent in any dealer and no messing around. I have also sent in another employee that works for me and he bought his car through Jim and could not believe how easy they made it for him. This has been a great experience and I will buy more from them in the future. Everyone has had a bad experience in purchasing a car but I believe in my experiences have convinced me. More
