Be afraid, be very afraid. Portsmouth Ford NH is living off a reputation that died decades ago with the original owner. They are out for the dollar and they want it from you! I Portsmouth Ford NH is living off a reputation that died decades ago with the original owner. They are out for the dollar and they want it from you! I purchased a vehicle in 2018 , it has only ever been serviced by them, when my wife took it for inspection they failed it for a foglight being out. They wanted to 2 hours shope rate to figure out why at $160 an hour. I was at work when my wife texted me this. I immediately called them and shut it down, I have been a Ford mechanic in a past career and knew this dirt bag move as I have seen it pulled on women and the elderly. It burned me to watch it and was a big part of me changing careers. If your car is under warranty and they find a problem with your car they can fix inder warranty, chances are the mechanic has a need for that part, charges it to your warranty while he lets you sit in the waiting room with your car on the lift, not needing any repair. You drive away none the wiser and service dept get an easy warranty labor pay, mechanic gets a free part, whats not to like. Back to my fog light. I called shut down their scam, accused them of the scam and they immediately went into damage control. Accusing me of being a bully , rude , you name it. Classic. Whennmy wife got home that evening. I climbed under her car disassembled multiple pieces of plastic finally was able to see up into the back of the foglight. As soon as I saw it I knew my suspicions were correct. The foglight bulb was cut at the socket and after hunting for several minutes I found it had been cut 12 inches up, making repair impossible. A good practice for all of you reading this is take a few minutes before your inspection and do you own safety checks, lights horn reververse lights tire tread wipers. Your state has inspection items you can find on line or ask for. It is my opinion in my 43 years of driving , find a mechanic you trust, never buy the dealers warranty on anything and if you are a mechanic at a dealer ship it is because youve failed on your own. Like a cop that becomes a security guard. Beware of that greasy low life derik de fred dicko, he is the finest example of masshole xxxx that spends his days trying to out slither his garbage state of existence and reputation, by hiding in NH. Going to this dealership was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. I brought my truck in for some body repair and recalls. My truck was working when I dropped it off with very little issues especially for ever made. I brought my truck in for some body repair and recalls. My truck was working when I dropped it off with very little issues especially for its age. During the repair process, there were several days we couldn’t even contact anyone about the status. Once when my partner called, they thought they put him on hold but just sat him down and talked to their co-worker about their Christmas shopping for 20 min before he finally hung up. When I picked it up and drove off, I quickly noticed that the radio didn’t work. So before I even left the lot, I drove back and asked them about it. At that time, they admitted that they were aware that while doing an update to the sync system, it stopped communicating and broke. They also admitted that when I dropped it off, it was working fine. I couldn’t understand how they couldn’t grasp that if my sync system was working when I dropped it off and now isn’t, they broke it. I now have very little use of my truck; backup cameras gone, cruise control, high beams, climate control all gone. Radio and blue tooth, gone. I and my partner have tried multiple times to speak to the service department and they are the most unprofessional and rude staff I’ve ever encountered. They’re happy to take your money, but when they mess something up, they just want to remind you how big they are and how much money they make so they have a lot of attorneys. The service manager Derek was outright offensive and abusive stating that if I didn’t just drop the complaint from Ford, he would “make it go away” and told us their attorneys would be ready if we wanted to file a civil case. We don’t want to file a civil case or cause any issues, we just want the damage Portsmouth Ford and their mechanics caused to our truck fixed. Save yourself a lot of trouble and money and go anywhere other than here. You’ll be glad you did. More
This dealership has terrible service. From first service phone call things went wrong. Got an confirmation e mail that had nothing to do with what i asked for. Took 3 calls to service dep From first service phone call things went wrong. Got an confirmation e mail that had nothing to do with what i asked for. Took 3 calls to service dept and they still got it wrong. I drop my keys and get a call that morning at work. Noone knows why my truck is there. This review does not have enough space to list all that went wrong with my service. Quote you one price then upcharge you. Bought a $70,000 truck and wanted some accessories. After being overcharged on my two previous purchases bug deflector and bed liner. The third time i asked for a quote. Bought warning strobe light on sale for $538 on Portsmouth Ford web site I was quoted $200 labor to install. I was charged full price $750 for light. I was charged $420 labor to install. I was charged for a NH state inspection I did not ask for( I am registered in MA) I was charged for an oil change that should have been free with the very expensive car care plan I was sold and given a $59 shop charge to boot. I called and spoke with Service manager Alan to give them a chance to make it right. Two weeks of back and forth on phone. He was unapologetic and uninterested made me feel like I did something wrong. My service call was recorded. He admitted that was what I was quoted and simply said they shouldn't have quoted me that. To be honest I was shocked. I expected a quick apology and a refund. Portsmouth ford used to be the best. I hear nothing but horror stories now what a shame. More

Unprofessional and not helpful. They quickly blame matters on the client. The fact they exist as a dealer is disgusting. Their techs ruined a drain plug by running an impact the wrong way and blamed i matters on the client. The fact they exist as a dealer is disgusting. Their techs ruined a drain plug by running an impact the wrong way and blamed it on a prior service and that I would need a whole oil pan. This was not the case, it did need a new plug, certainly not a $1300 drain plug. They wouldn't assist with any of it, they then decided to spam my email with promotions stating I bought the truck from them. Which I did not. I had brought a different truck from them that they quickly ran from when at 23,000 miles the front end let go and had to get towed to a dealer. More
Very unsatisfied customer! To Whom it May Concern: VERY UNSATISFIED BUYER!!! I purchased a brand new $40,000 F-150 in November of 2018. In August of 2019, so less than a year To Whom it May Concern: VERY UNSATISFIED BUYER!!! I purchased a brand new $40,000 F-150 in November of 2018. In August of 2019, so less than a year old, I was told my truck with only 12000 miles on it needs a new motor. Now, because I was sold a truck with a junk motor I’m told by Ford I pretty much own the loss in valve because the vin history will show a motor replacement. I spoke with the sales manager at your location on multiple occasions with almost the same answer...other than trading the vehicle in and rolling the negative equity into another vehicle....so I can pay more interest on a new loan with the loss of value built from the old truck. SIGN ME UP! Real good customer service. No real trade assistance or taking ownership. The “We will see what incentives we can find to offset the negative equity” doesn’t work! That’s what you do when you buy and trade a vehicle with no issues. If there were true care and concern about/for customer service from Portsmouth Ford, you would own that this is/was a problem vehicle you sold and get me into another vehicle with no burden on the customer. Here is another idea for customer service....when someone says they will call you back after they say they will see what they can do.....call them back! I called Friday and spoke with the sales manager, who was going to find the “incentives” to help find a solution. He said he would call back in an hour. AND....no reply, had to call back today. Although he was understanding and courteous, I requested the person above the sales manager. I was transferred to the general manager which went straight to voicemail. He called back once, and said he’d look into things. I had to leave two messages to get him to call me back after that. I understand replacing the motor fixes the truck problem, I get it. It doesn’t fix the loss of equity I have in the truck or the total loss of value for me. I know you are a giant corporation and I’m just a number. But I will NEVER own another Ford. If you were true in giving great customer service and honoring your customers you would make this lease right and give the lost value back towards a replacement F-150, or take the truck back without me getting stuck holding the bag. Life savers Loaded up my seldom used 2003 Expedition with kayaks and bikes for a last minute trip from my home on Long Island to Maine this August. The truck has Loaded up my seldom used 2003 Expedition with kayaks and bikes for a last minute trip from my home on Long Island to Maine this August. The truck has 120K miles and still runs great, but is usually just resting in my driveway. As we entered New Hampshire on I-95, my brakes suddenly went to the floor. Saturday afternoon, 200 miles from home, figured my vacation was shot. Called AAA, they were willing to come out but I knew this was no roadside repair. Asked if there was a nearby shop open and they gave me the numbers for Portsmouth Chevrolet and Portsmouth Ford. Called the Chevy dealer first because it was closer. Told him my whole sob story; on my way up to Maine for vacation, really in a bind, blah blah blah. He wasn't interested. Maybe they could take a look Monday. Well, that wasn't going to work. Called Portsmouth Ford. Spoke with Greg. Told him my story. "Bring it in", he says, "we'll take a look and see what we can do." They had to fabricate two brake lines and then found another leak and repaired that, too. The mechanic and Greg both stayed past closing to get me on my way later that afternoon. What phenomenal, professional and friendly service. The icing on the cake was the very reasonable price. I wish I lived up here because there is no doubt I would purchase my next Ford at Portsmouth. I may anyway. My sincerest thanks to Greg and all the staff at Portsmouth Ford! More
THIEVES and LIARS! Came in from out of town and my truck had a code pop up on the dash. Wanted for them to check and reset a code on ECU if nothing major was and LIARS! Came in from out of town and my truck had a code pop up on the dash. Wanted for them to check and reset a code on ECU if nothing major was wrong. 4 hours later they claimed to find metal in fuel system but did not have any sampled. Then the next day came back and they magically had a cup full of metal debris. Drove the truck almost 4 hours back home and brought it elsewhere for input...surprise, no metal in the fuel system anywhere. Gary (head manager), Travis (Service manager), and Wayne (Service writer) are all poor character people and apparently don't have customer's best interest in mind. More
