I am writing in regards to my experience of purchasing a car from Portland Volvo. Specifically, the superb customer service displayed by Kate. She kept me up to date as the car went through service and through the process of completing all the paper work. After the deal was done, she called me at home and even sent a letter to make sure there were no problems with the car. I understand that Kate has only been at Portland Volvo a short period of time but by witnessing her in-action no one would ever know. I have to say that I have received the best customer service from Ralph D'Angelo. He has always stayed intouch with me thru all the issues I have had with my car, no matter how frustrated I have been he service from Ralph D'Angelo. I am very happy to say that this is the first dealership to make me feel like a customer should feel. Dave in the service department has also been extremly pleasant with me when I got frustrated with my car and it problems it has had since I got it. Dave has gone above and beyond to make me feel like he understands me and to reassure me that the problem will get fixed no matter what. I recently went in to trade my Volvo that I had purchased new from Portland Volvo a few years back, that initial buying experience was a nightmare in itself. I had been told to return to Portland Volvo for new from Portland Volvo a few years back, that initial buying experience was a nightmare in itself. I had been told to return to Portland Volvo for the BEST trade in price when I was ready to do so, well that was NOT the case. I did end up purchasing another vehicle from them only to learn my lesson (that is not to go back). My sales person was wonderful, not a thing bad to say about this person. I was given squat for my very well kept Volvo only to see it on their sales lot with the price jacked up 5700.00. That made me furious. By the way the car does not even book for the price they have it listed for. Highway robbery! I did not expect to get a ton for my trade just something fair with some negotiation, but to me (and this is just my opinion) that was a big slap in the face. I work for a LARGE hospital in Portland Maine and will not hesitate to tell my story about my dealings with Portland Volvo. All I can say in closing is I hope they sleep well at night, ripping people off the way they do. Also they left me with repairs that needed to be done on the car I bought to have fixed on my own, not good customer service in my book. I know people will say well you should have walked out, you know how dealerships are... Well yes I do but I truly thought they were true to their word on at least a few things. I do have to say for all service repairs on my first vehicle purchased with Port Volvo, I did receive A+ treatment. More

I have not owned a Volvo before but my experience with POrtland Volvo has now converted me to a Volvo owner.
