I had only gone into say hello to Cary w/NO intentions of purchasing a vehicle. Cary & I chatted for a few minutes & he showed me the car he thought I would like. Cary was fabulous & so was the Service Staff and the financial person. Everyone treated me like a real person and with respect. They were great AND the reason I purchased the car. All of them went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect for me and my new C70 Convertible. I traded in my Saab Convertible and being a SAAB owner. We plan to trade our other SAAB on an XC60 in the very near future. Even the price wasn't too bad. This was a great experience and look forward to doing business with Cary and Portland Volvo again. This is a high-end vehicle dealership, and though I was buying a used vehicle with a lower price point, they still treated me as though I was buying a top of the line model. Not at all intimidating. Portland Volvo is by far the best dealership in Maine. In 2007, I purchased a S40 that turned out to have some new electronic problems that were unheard of for the model. The Service Dept. worked endlessly w 2007, I purchased a S40 that turned out to have some new electronic problems that were unheard of for the model. The Service Dept. worked endlessly with me to repair the car, even going as far coming to my office, leaving me a loaner car and taking my car back to the shop. The problem was fixed for over a year when it returned. At this point in owning my S40, and though I loved that little car, I couldn't trust it for my 80 mile round trip commute each day. I returned to the dealer and spoke to Mike, now the sales manager. (in 2007 he sold me my S40). Mike set me up with Pete to find me the right car. I purchased an S60 and drove it home in 4 hours. Pete was a super salesmen who took the time to help me out. The entire team worked to give me a great deal on the S60 so I could end up with the car of my dreams. The dealership stood by its product and gave me an incredible deal on the trade in of my old S40 and a price on the S60 that anyone would have been foolish to pass up. Pete made sure I loved my car and worked super hard with the rest of the staff to ensure that I would be content in my new car (and boy am I!). I can't be happier with my S60 and the service and level of respect I received from everyone at the dealer. (being in my 20's, many higher end car dealerships did not take my inquries seriouslly). Volvo's saying is "Volvo for Life." I see why, and will always drive Volvo's. Thanks to the team for a wonderful car buying exp. and all of your help.
