When there was a snafu with the New Jersey dealer from whom Portland Volvo was getting the car Ralph and others at Portland Volvo went to bat for me and for my car, securing an alternative vehicle that exceeded my expectations for price and amenities. Professional, courteous, not pushy, felt like a team effort between me and the folks at Portland Volvo to acquire a great car (Volvo XC 60 - wow!). Subsequent to my purchase, his follow-up has been superb. However,I was not impressed with the used manager at all. I believe he should seek advice from Mr. DeAngelo on how to deal with customers. Everyone working at Portland Saab is friendly, attentive and knowlegeable, but the serivces I have gotten there are always much more expensive than it seems they should be. Had a great experience. Made an appt. for a test drive, sales rep called the day before to confirm. Car was ready and waiting and I bought it on the spot. I am so pleased with my 2007 S80 I don't even care to drive my VW Toureg which is a beautiful vehicle in its own right. The price for the car was more than fair and it is in beautiful condition. I was hesitant to get a front wheel drive at first but I got set up with the winter wheel and tire package and the car performed beautifully in the limited snow and slush the we have had. The buying experience was top notch and the sales staff recognize that the cars will sell themselves, which leads to a low pressure environment. I did indulge a bit too much in the free coffee, so the maiden voyage was, let's say, jittery. Cary and James were super relaxed to work with and I appreciate their authenticity.
