The salesman Gary was really nice and down to earth and very low pressure and laid back. I really appreciate that and it made the experience very easy. This was our first Hyundai and we are very impressed with the car so far and thoroughly impressed with Porter Hyundai through the experience and will definitely return because of it. If you haven't ever considered Hyundai before, trust me, do yourself a favor and seriously consider them. The vehicles are very good quality and Hyundai is much more motivated to provide good deals as they are working on gaining market share here in the U.S. I was a Honda guy my whole life,.. but the Honda dealer was a pain to deal with and clearly not interested in selling cars. Dealing with the honda dealer reminded me of why I hated to deal with car dealers in the first place. Dealing with Hyundai was so refreshing and to be honest, after comparing the two,.. the car we got from Hyundai is actually a nicer car than the Honda. The fit and finish and the styling of the car is much better. The gas mileage is basically the same as well. And the warranty with Hyundai is much better as well. More

AWESOME group to work with. They listen to you as far as what you want and need in a new car and they do not try and sell you more then what you need. Also i group to work with. Buyer Beware WARNING>>>BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Story starts out great...Prior to this purchase I was a tried and true Toyota customer for YEARS!!!! i was ready for a new WARNING>>>BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Story starts out great...Prior to this purchase I was a tried and true Toyota customer for YEARS!!!! i was ready for a new car and was referred to Mike Moran at Porter Hyundai. Mike indeed was/is great. on sale day it took approximately 6 hours. arrived around 3 pm and did not leave until just about 9 pm. i realize this was due to a myriad of things...selecting car, used car appraisal, loan and documentation and the salesperson handling customers who had an appointment....no issue there...part of the process. I left just before 9 pm (i was tired and Mike still was juggling other customers...i did it as favor to say i come back for him to do a walk around and show the inner workings). Biggest mistake of my life. when i left the dealership (which lighting was not great) i did a cursory look at the vehicle but again Mike was tied up and lighting was poor. (note: NEVER TAKE DELIVERY OF CAR AT NIGHT.....PERIOD.) turns out there was a good size scratch low on the passenger side windshield that ran contrary to the swipe of the windshield....also no damage on the body of the vehicle). i called the following day when I noticed it. They DID agree to replace this. So....took my car to body shop and picked up a loaner so that they could replace windshield. Following day i go to pick up my car and there's a huge chip in the hood. Manager reluctantly agrees to 'fix it'...this meant i bring the vehicle to the paint guy (contract guy that comes once a week to the used car lot)....he was nice but dabbed a little paint and said there you go...mind you the paint did not fill the chip nor was it the color of the car. he advised the paint would adjust. IT DID NOT. Call the following day. Mike put me to Keith....nighttime manager....he was adversarial from the start and says NOW that the (windshield and the chip) could have happened anytime by anyone...intimating i did this or had knowledge of it!!!! calling me a Liar without calling me a liar (sidenote: would love for him to refute anything that i am putting down in this review...he will know that he would then be exposed)...he also advised that Tim (daytime manager the day i purchased advised him (Keith) that i did a thorough walk around....makes no sense since Keith was the one present (by present i mean working at night...not waving to me goodbye as i drove off)...not sure why he would even bring this to light. Continuing with story he tells me that if i not happy with the hood paint 'fix' that I could pay the body shop to fix the car....I clearly was in AWE...not only am I a liar but they agreed to resolve an issue and failed horribly. Also to tell me that they "porter' did this as Courtesy....Really...So my Buyer BEWARE reminder is.... NEVER TAKE DELIVERY AT NIGHT, TRUST IS EVERYTHING AND IF A DEALERSHIP DISPLAYS UNTRUSTWORTHY VALUES AND ATTITUDES...AND!!! HOW YOUR TREATED THE DAY YOU BUY VS THE DAY AFTER!!!! It's up to people like me to OUT these types of occurrences to maybe save the next person. Note: I did reach out to Hyundai Corporate and unfortunately they said they could not compel Porter to fix or change anything....in addition they were not able to allow me to update my Survey sent to them....i would not however change anything great about Mike Moran....who got put in the middle. These guys were friendly, efficient, honest, & professional I had cast a large net for the particular Santa Fe I was looking for...because there are so few of them out there right now. I had nailed down excellent pricing, about 800 less than the truevalue quote that I got. This was from 2 local dealers who I trust. However, I would have had to wait until a car became available. Porter had the car. They told me up front that they thought the True Value price was a good one for both of us and they were going to stick to it. I can't blame them. It is a good price and they had the only car. As opposed to several dealers I had gone to who were deceptive in their pricing and unprofessional in their negotiation (the low availability made them feel like they could take advantage), Mike Moran was professional and helpful from the beginning. I could have told him I wasn't interested and the car would have been traded to the dealer with the lower price...but I felt this just wasn't fair... so I bought from Mike. We drove about an hour to Newark. He stayed for me on his night off... and was just a pleasure to deal with. His business manager was able to get me a slightly lower interest rate than the Hyundai promotion. Not a huge difference but I appreciated the gesture. (one other dealer had lured me in with a low price and then tried to screw me by not letting me use the Hyundai promotion...and insisting on a higher price!) These guys have class and I appreciated it. The car is a gem... I absolutely love it... Our other car is an Audi Q5, about 10K more... and I think I prefer this one. Absolutely consider a Hyundai if you need an SUV... and definitely buy from Mike. He is a class act. More

I can't say enough about Porter Auto Group, and in this particular case Porter Hyundai. I had just bought a car in May of 2012 so they were surprised to see me back again. Many sales people would just assu particular case Porter Hyundai. I had just bought a car in May of 2012 so they were surprised to see me back again. Many sales people would just assume I was killing time, but our sales person, Tim Miller spent time with me, going over options and vehicles. We decided on a Silver Limited Tucson AWD with the Premium Package. They didn't have any, but Tim looked at the incoming inventory and found that there was one on the way. This is where I can help you to understand how much I enjoy working with Porter: Other dealers within driving distance did have those vehicles in stock, and we didn't even bother contacting them-we love working with Porter. The deal? Absolutely amazing. Anyone can go on the internet and look up car prices these days, and I was very happy with the price I got compared to "fair market value". When the car got in, it was quickly inspected, prepped and detailed. I was out the door and driving our new Tucson in just a short time. We were so happy that my wife made Tim cupcakes and we dropped them off later that evening. Thanks Porter Hyundai! More
