My recent service was very good. I have been in and out in a good time. I have never had a problem with the service team. I have had a problem with the financial department. Not just in November but 37 yea in a good time. I have never had a problem with the service team. I have had a problem with the financial department. Not just in November but 37 years ago when I got my Spectrum in 1984 as well. With the Spectrum I had come back and redid the paperwork ×3 and 37 years later, the financial department still had to redue the paperwork again. They need to train there finance company. Of a matter of fact our sales man had pressure on us to buy. The Sales guy wouldn't let us leave and we came in at 9:30am and was going to leave until we bought the car. We finally got out of there 7:20pm Saturday night. To have to get the paperwork screwed up done afterwards another day, I should be able to charge you for my time!!! More

I purchased a 2018 Colorado from here. They upsold the extended warranty and service with lifetime free oil changes and tire rotation. On more then one visit for oil change, the tire rotation was not done. One service rep told me its only done every other? Tire rotation every 10000 miles? I checked by discretely marking the tires other times to find it was not done on more then one visit that it should have been. Honestly not worth the hassle of arguing it or trying to prove it. The fastest visit for their "express service" for just an oil change was 35 min. Most visits (last one was 45k so 9 visits) were over an hour for an oil change I can do myself in 10-15 min. Did not appear to be busy on any given visit. Don't offer express service if you can't provide express service. Had defect in 2 rims. First one they made effort to replace rim and even took one from their body shop to replace. 2nd rim I was told they would contact me after claim made to GM. Inquired couple times after and told it was denied but they submitted again after additional pictures and would contact me. Never contacted me and never was replaced. Intermittent Check Engine Light with code P-0019. Went out of my way to bring in the truck with light on so that they could read code themselves and document it. Was reminded on every attempt to have them diagnose issue that it would cost me $120 diagnostic fee if they didn't find anything, even thought I had the issue documented and was covered by extended warranty. In one visit they replaced sensor and I didn't even make it a quarter mile from the lot before the light came back on. The rest of the visits they said they couldn't find anything wrong and told me they can't do anything without light on. I understand its difficult to diagnose a intermittent issue and GM might not pay a claim for work if they can't prove the issue. My issue is that every time I tried to get my issue resolved I was made to feel like no one cared, felt threatened by the way they "reminded" me that I would have to pay if they found nothing wrong and overall was made to feel like they didn't want to be bothered with my problem. Of course they never charged me a diagnostic fee but also said they let the fee go and said it in way way that made me feel like they thought they were doing me a favor. Ya thanks for not charging me for not fixing an issue under warranty.... I finally gave up and after talking with a private mechanic I trust, decided to order the part I felt would fix the problem. When I went to install the part, I found that the stupid cover they put over the engine these days, had a big crack in the front of it. I can't prove it, but I know the dealer was the last one under the hood and I know from the last time I was under the hood that it was not cracked prior to the sensor being installed. While the damage is cosmetic only, its still damage. So after spending 45k on a truck, I have an issue under warranty, only to go through xxxx trying to get if fixed to a point that I give up. Had to spend nearly $200 to fix it myself only to discover they did damage to a $120 part to replace a sensor that didn't even fix the problem in the first place. Needless to say, I will be doing my own oil changes for now on (even though they are free at dealer) and any warranty issue I will bring to another dealer... and if I find a dealer with a decent service department, that is where I will likely buy my next vehicle. The part I replaced fixed the issue I was having (little over 5000 miles and no light). After talking to my mechanic for 10 min, he did a little research on the internet and told me what part he thought it was. The engine has 4 of the solenoids he suggested. While only one might have been bad, I replaced all 4 at $43 each plus shipping. Anyone who thinks a dealer is better then a private mechanic because they are trained in the brand they work on, think again. You only need to find a good private mechanic. I will also never buy a service contract or extended warranty again. JiffyLube (or whatever quick oil change shop near you) is a better option if you cant do it yourself. In this and other past experiences, a dealer will give you nothing but a hassle to get out of warranty work that is not obvious and undeniable. To be subjective and fair as I can, I didn't have an issue with every employee. This is a review of the dealer as a whole and is my experience in a nutshell. I did not include every little detail that made me unsatisfied with this dealer and every experience with them was not all bad, however the negative did outweigh the positive for me. More
In the end I decided to wait on buying but Pete Moran was super helpful and even offered to drive the vehicle I was interested in down to Dover, DE so I could do a test drive. super helpful and even offered to drive the vehicle I was interested in down to Dover, DE so I could do a test drive. More

There was no care taken I c When I picked up my car after getting 4 new tires and an oil change, there was black grease on my driver side door inside. There was no care taken I can tell. The armrest was totally black and smudges everywhere. The driver door sill was black all over with grease also. The tires were not popped, I mean clean. Shoddy workmanship. I was very disappointed being this is a 5 star dealership. I think the workers are being pushed too hard. I hope they really did change my oil. Are they being treated well or do you have some bad workers? You should look into this. Everyone has always been pleasant there. I felt there was something wrong with the work environment. Sincerely a concerned customer. More
A great crew, and a bunch of fair and honest car guys. For the TL;DR (too long; didn't read) crowd: These guys are honest, fun, and best of all, fair. Go see them, really. I drove 6 hours from the MA/NH For the TL;DR (too long; didn't read) crowd: These guys are honest, fun, and best of all, fair. Go see them, really. I drove 6 hours from the MA/NH border to do a deal with Pete Moran (sales, and Tim, in financing, underbosses Kevin & Dave and head honcho, Bob Karstetter!) for a gently used Camaro Convertible. I'd contacted Pete earlier the previous week and decided to see if they were interested in doing a deal for the car. I was trading in a gently used car, and Pete seemed to think we could get something done. Now I know what you're thinking, cause I was thinking it too! They're going to lowball me for my car, all while telling me that price on the internet that got my attention was only if I'd qualified for this, that and some other thing. It's how all car salesman are, we all hate them but we deal with it because we want to get a 'new' (to us) car. So I did a bunch of research of cars similiar to mine around Porter Chevy and came up with what I thought was a fair number. Then I did a bunch of research about the Camaro they were selling and found that they're advertised price was also a very fair number. Now I mentally prepared myself for battle. I emailed Pete and told him my number for my car. Pete's reply? "Ok that's fair. We're also going to stand on the car's price as advertised." I was dumbfounded, really. Did we just do a deal in 2-3 emails? I agreed and Pete said he'd get me a purchase agreement in a day or so. As promised it arrived and I looked it over. "Aha!" I thought, they're trying to add in taxes for my state! And another "fee"! I called Pete up and prepared to do verbal battle and tell him I wasn't going to stand for this outrage! Kevin got on the phone and I explained to him these added "fees" and "taxes" weren't necessary... and he said "Ok, I'll take them off, our mistake." Wait. What? Turns out, they really weren't trying to screw me, dealing with an out of state transaction is a pain, especially with the state of MA. No "gotcha's", no added fees, just a bunch of real, honest guys, looking to do a fair deal. I cannot overstate how much fun I had talking to them. If they have something on the lot that you're interested in, go see Bob K's crew, I couldn't recommend them enough. In 30+ years of buying cars it was the most refreshing honest, and fun, experience I've ever had. Kudos to Porter Chevy, I'm a very, very satisfied customer. More
