I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and was misled throughout the process. I had a pre-approval from my bank, and the dealer said they would submit my loan and attach it to the pre-a and was misled throughout the process. I had a pre-approval from my bank, and the dealer said they would submit my loan and attach it to the pre-approval, but the dealer submitted a 75-month loan without informing me. I was not shown this during the closing, and I did not ask because I had already done the due diligence with my bank. I found out because my bank told me. During the sale, I questioned the GAP insurance Chris added, and I was told it was required for my loan; my bank later confirmed they would never require this for a loan. Yet, it was still added to my financing, costing me an unnecessary $750. They told me I would receive $17,350 for my trade-in after I pushed back on their initial $16,000 offer. But on paper, they listed $19,450, which I later realized was just to cover the loan payoff. Based on the final loan amount, I only received around $15,000 for my trade, even though my car is now listed on their lot for $23,000. The vehicle I purchased was listed online for $29,700, but my final loan was $34,700, including $750 for GAP. When I raised the issues, Jennifer, the manager, called and expressed concern, but then she had the finance manager, Chris, call me instead. Chris denied that GAP was a financing contingency and accused me of lying. I left Jennifer another message asking why she didn’t follow up herself, but never heard back. I’ve filed a complaint with the NH Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Bureau and the BBB, and strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this dealership get everything in writing, verify all figures, and be extremely cautious. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. I purchased a Lexus from this dealer a year ago and there has been trouble with the car since the beginning. Eventually, they convinced me to purchas I purchased a Lexus from this dealer a year ago and there has been trouble with the car since the beginning. Eventually, they convinced me to purchase a warranty with them in order to get some peace of mind. Forward to a year later and I take the Lexus to them because I hear some strange sounds coming from the engine. They told me that I needed a few repairs and charged me $2000 because they WOULDN'T HONOR THE WARRANTY. They returned the car and I still heard the strange sounds coming from the engine. I decided to take it to a proper Lexus dealership and they told me that the engine was ruined because these guys did not put any coolant into it! I go BACK to Port City Nissan and they tell me “tough luck”. $2000, especially in this economy, is not a small amount of money. I do not want anyone else to fall victim to this dealership's shady practices. More
I GOT SCREWED ! !!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!! If there was a lower star to give I would.... On December 8th 2023 I bought a 2024 Nissan Frontier truck....We talked numbers !!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!! If there was a lower star to give I would.... On December 8th 2023 I bought a 2024 Nissan Frontier truck....We talked numbers, we drove the truck and everything was great....I asked several times what the buyout of the lease would be and was told "didn't know-finance will go over that with you", "I don't remember, its in the paperwork" .... they made me sign the deal on a tablet...when I left with the envelope there was no paperwork about the lease in there...when I called to get it and sat down to read it, the deal was totally different and my truck was now several thousand dollars more than the window sticker, they added GAP insurance (with $7k trade in and $5k cash down, if a new truck looses that much value, its not worth buying) and several other discrepancies valued at SEVERAL THOUSAND dollars more than discussed. Never will I ever sign a deal on a tablet... and NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVEN WALK ONTO THEIR LOT....FRIGGIN SCAM.. SO PISSED OFF MY TRUCK PERMANENTLY HAS A MAGNETIC SIGN SAYING "I GOT SCREWED AT PORT CITY NISSAN" More
Here's an updated version reflecting that around 7 months have now passed since the initial issues with the vehicle purchased from Port City Nissan: It has been a grueling seven months since I first began have now passed since the initial issues with the vehicle purchased from Port City Nissan: It has been a grueling seven months since I first began my nightmarish ordeal with Port City Nissan, and the overwhelming sense of frustration and regret I feel toward this dealership has only intensified. What should have been a routine vehicle purchase has spiraled into a never-ending cycle of disrespect, unprofessionalism, and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. In the span of just seven months, I have been forced to endure a staggering five separate repair incidents on the vehicle I purchased from Port City Nissan. This alarming number of issues in such a short timeframe is a clear indicator that I was sold a lemon, yet the dealership has shown a shocking lack of accountability throughout this entire ordeal. From the very beginning, just 20 days after driving the car off the lot, Port City Nissan demonstrated their unethical business practices by refusing to address my concerns unless I removed an honest review detailing my experience. This strong-arming tactic was a glaring red flag that should have prompted me to sever ties with the dealership immediately. Now, seven months later, I am still grappling with the consequences of a failed low fuel pressure pump, an issue that the dealership's own initial diagnosis identified as a low fuel pressure concern. Despite overwhelming evidence linking the current pump failure to their original findings, Port City Nissan has brazenly concluded that the issues are unrelated, displaying a blatant disregard for logic and customer satisfaction. Throughout this entire ordeal, I have been met with nothing but laughter, condescension, and a complete unwillingness to engage in constructive dialogue from the service manager, Patrick. This unprofessional behavior and lack of transparency have left me questioning the competence and ethics of Port City Nissan's entire service department. After enduring countless hoops, countless disrespectful encounters, and thousands of dollars invested in a vehicle that should have been a reliable purchase, I have finally reached a point where I can move forward. However, the scars left by this experience will serve as a constant reminder of the perils of doing business with Port City Nissan. What truly compounds my frustration is the realization that Port City Nissan has not only lost my future business but also that of my entire family and extended network. After consulting with my relatives and associates, many of whom have had their own issues with the dealership, we have collectively decided to take our substantial automotive needs elsewhere. Port City Nissan has demonstrated a clear disregard for customers who do not represent a significant financial investment. However, they have failed to recognize that my family and business associates collectively spend tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars on vehicle purchases every few years. By targeting and mistreating me, a seemingly insignificant customer in their eyes, Port City Nissan has effectively severed ties with a vast network of loyal, high-value clients. It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of regret that I bid farewell to Port City Nissan. Their blatant disregard for customer satisfaction, unwillingness to take accountability, and utter lack of professionalism have left an indelible stain on their reputation within my circle. I can only hope that they will learn from this experience and prioritize the needs of all customers, regardless of perceived value, in the future. More
Worth your time - we ended up not buying here as they didn’t have exactly what we were looking for. Dan in particular was awesome! He talked for a while with us about Armada trims, even though he knew didn’t have exactly what we were looking for. Dan in particular was awesome! He talked for a while with us about Armada trims, even though he knew they didn’t have what we were looking for on their lot. We ended up taking that advice and buying it at another local dealer that had what we were looking for (‘22 Armada SL). We liked these guys so much that we came back here to look for another car we were purchasing but they didn’t end up going with the Nissan product this time. More
I have been doing business with the sales side of portcity for a long time. I love them all. My sales guy Mike and sales manager Brian make buying a car very easy. Though this process went very smoot portcity for a long time. I love them all. My sales guy Mike and sales manager Brian make buying a car very easy. Though this process went very smooth and well. I had a problem with the 2021 Nissan Altima SR I just bought in January. I noticed this problem and scheduled an appointment to have it brought in to the dealer ship service center. I brought my car in was told we will update you on what we find, I said great! Late that day I received a call From the service manager telling me unfortunately I had a bigger problem then we originally thought and that it would be safe to drive for now. I then informed them I had brought the car in because I was taking a 400 mile trip in it and I did not want to do more damage. He said oh I would not suggest driving it that far and let me keep the rental car I was in. Next day being Friday I heard nothing about whether my car was going to be ready or if they had a plan to fix it. I let it slide thinking the department might be busy. Saturday comes and still nothing. At noon on Saturday I chose to call and see if the service manager was in so I could get an update. I was met with a service advisor that have no idea what was going on with my car had no way of looking to see if there were any update and was told he would leave a note for the manager to call me as that was who I was working with. I said okay I totally understand but I was annoyed that there was no communication. Sunday the dealership is closed to I waited through Monday and heard nothing after a note to call me was supposedly left. Tuesday come and I call at 5:30 in the afternoon as that is when I get out of work and I was met with another service advisor named Sean and he was fantastic very kind listened to everything that I said and understood where I was coming from. But he could not give any update as he did not know what was going on with my car. Come Wednesday 6 days after my appointment. I get a call from the service advisor telling me that they had to order a part for my car it has come in and will be installed that day. I said great please let me know when it’s done. 2 hours ish later I get another call that the part that was sent was the wrong size and now they are working to find a vender to fix my original part. I said okay it happens please let me know when it is done. Wednesday evening service manager calls. It’s all set come and get it. Great. I get there pick it up drive it home seemed okay but not great. The next morning I leave for work and I’m driving down the road to find that the same problem was happening. The car was not fixed. I called was told to bring it back I did and now the car is supposedly fixed. After all of this. I am very disappointed and concerned that my car isn’t actually fixed. I am disappointed that the communication was horrible that none of the staff could tell me what was going on. And that the service manager could not find the time to call me back I had to call several time to try and speak to him. I’m unimpressed and this whole experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth. More

He asked all of the right questions to figure out what I was looking for in a vehicle and what my approximate price range was. After test driving several vehicles, we were able to find exactly what I wanted. After this, Van helped me finance the frontier and even helped me get a discount on winterizing the undercarriage. It was an overall great experience and I would recommend Port City to anyone who is currently in the market for a new/used car. More
