With Mr. Richard Mac, no obstacle or request seemed insurmountable; he goes out of his way to satisfy the customer. I purchased my car, while upstate, and working physician's hours, Mr. Mac made the process seamless. I have dealt with other premium car dealerships, but at Porsche of South Shore the experience was personal and tailored to the customers needs. I look forward to my next purchase with them. More

I live in Florida, so have never actually been to the dealership and the whole transaction was done by phone and email. After numerous disappointments with a bunch of other dealers all over the southeast, I had a great experience with Sales Manager Joseph Hodge. I bought the car and it was delivered 2 days later in Florida. The whole process was very professional and efficient. More

2014 Boxter It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Richard mac, Joseph Hodge and Alex ( not sure what his last name is but he helped me with the trade in). Init It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Richard mac, Joseph Hodge and Alex ( not sure what his last name is but he helped me with the trade in). Initially I was looking for a Cayman and I input my information through Allstate car buying service or something like that. Within several minutes I was contacted by Manhattan Porsche and spoke to a gentleman whose name is Dominic. He was snobbish, conceited and downright insulting when I was discussing the prices with him. When I told him about the prices quoted by the web site, he made me feel like a moron for believing that information. At the end he told me that I am probably a type of a person who likes to call busy people and waste their time not even realizing that it was his company who called me. Shortly thereafter Richard called me. I told him what I wanted and the next day I had an email with 5 possibilities answering my requirements. I ended up buying a different car but from him but from the beginning I knew that if I buy a Porsche it would be from Richard. Richard and his manager Joseph Hodge worked very hard to come up with the price acceptable to me and when it came to a trade- in, Alex went out of his way to get me top dollar for two cars that left a lot to be desired. GREAT, GREAT car buying experience all around. I would not recommend going anywhere else for a Porsche but these guys. More
Go to Porsche of South Shore, ask for Cary! I am writing this review for a few reasons. First, I want to commend my salesperson Cary Markowitz. I have known Cary for over 4 years and have bought I am writing this review for a few reasons. First, I want to commend my salesperson Cary Markowitz. I have known Cary for over 4 years and have bought 4 cars from him. I first met Cary in the summer of 2011 when I ordered my first Cayenne. I had owned several Porsches at that point but this was my first Cayenne. I chose South Shore Porsche, which is what the dealership was called at that time, because it was nearby. Since I had never driven a Cayenne before, Cary suggested taking one of the dealership loaner cars for a test drive. He let me go on my own and told me to come back once I had fully enjoyed myself. It drove much better than I expected and felt similar to other Porsches I had owned. I was sold. Cary walked me through the order process. He helped me select the best options and told me what to avoid. He kept me up on the build status over the subsequent months. When it arrived at the dealership, I remember how excited Cary was when he called to let me know. The delivery experience was great. Cary walked me through everything. Following the delivery, Cary reached out occasionally to check up on how I was enjoying the car. He even sent me an email on my Birthday. About 6 months before I ordered the Cayenne, I had bought a ’97 993 Turbo in CA while traveling for business. I soon discovered the car was a mess. Soon after getting the Cayenne, I had to replace one of the turbos. About 6 months after that a gear in the front differential shredded. I had had enough. Sensing my frustration during a visit to the service department, Cary suggested I consider trading it in. He offered me a more than a fair price for the 993 considering its current mechanical state. The redesigned Boxster had recently been released. I had one of the originals about 12 years earlier and had always regretted trading it in. It was an easy decision. Once again Cary periodically reached out to me afterwards to see how I was enjoying both cars. When the new targa was released this past January, I immediately called Cary to get the details. I had bought an ’89 Guards Red Targa about 9 years before. However, it is not a practical daily driver, especially with 3 kids. He suggested we meet up and talk about it and my options. We sat down the following weekend and put together a build sheet. I left a deposit and told Cary to call me when the order window opened. Sometime around May or June the dealership took delivery of its first Targa. Cary immediately called me to say that I had to come down and take a look. It would be the first time I would see one up close. I wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately the color and options were not what I was looking for; otherwise I would have bought it. I confirmed my existing order and told Cary to call me as soon as the window opened. By early fall I couldn't wait any longer because the lease on my Cayenne was coming do. I went to see Cary to discuss my options. I decided it made the most sense to buy another Cayenne. The dealership had GTS’ available but none of them had the options I wanted. Cary showed me a couple of turbos, one of which was optioned the way I preferred. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend though. Cary was great. He and his sales manager, Alex Bocchi, were able to get me a better price. I decided to cancel my Targa given the extra cost of getting the Turbo. No regrets, it was the right thing to do at the time. Once again Cary kept in touch to make sure I was happy with both the Turbo and the Boxster. Then, just before Thanksgiving, as I was making an appointment to bring the Boxster in for its annual service, Cary called me. The dealership had just gotten in a Guards Red Targa 4. He said I had to see it. I reminded him that I just bought a new car and wasn’t looking for another. He understood but suggested I at least take a look when I was there dropping off the Boxster. I really liked the Targa but just could not justify it. Cary made me an offer on the Boxster but it wasn't enough to bridge the gap. There was no pressure whatsoever. Cary and I talked a few more times over the next few weeks. Each time we discussed the pluses and minus of the deal. At some point, the dealership received a 2013 Guards Red 911 with only 3600 miles via a trade in. I noticed it on the dealer's web site and mentioned it to Cary during one of our conversations. Cary remembered that I told him that the lease on my wife's BMW was coming due soon. He suggested letting the lease lapse, trading in the Boxster, and getting the 911 for her. This would end up saving me some money. Going down to 3 cars met one less payment. And getting a slightly used 911 would save me the initial depreciation associated with a new car purchase. It worked out perfectly. Cary is great. I do not think of him as a salesperson. I consider him a friend. A friend that happens to sell Porsches. The second reason for my post is to point out to everyone that the dealership is under new ownership. It is now called Porsche of South Shore. Nearly everything about it is new. The service department is much improved. The quality of the inventory has improved. Someone greets you when you enter and offers you something to drink. There are even plans for a massive renovation. It is clear they are trying to build relationships with their customers not just sell them a car. Lastly, I want to give a shout-out to the sales manager, Alex Bocchi. I have bought many new cars over the years, all different makes and models. Alex is the only sales manager to actually spend time with me. He always says hello when I am in the showroom shakes my hand and asks how everything is going. I highly recommend Porsche of South Shore. Ask for Cary! More
