Rich C We take every customer concern seriously and fully investigate any concern. In this case, with your 2005 Cayenne, we evaluated the starter failure and the coolant leak as requested and provided a current parts and labor estimate for repairing both. The extended repair plan from the dealer where the car was purchased from covered the starter, but not the coolant hose. Unfortunately, we could not price match a repair estimate from 2014. The 2014 estimate was for a different coolant hose for which the repair procedure did not involve lowering the engine and transaxle to access the hose, as was required for the current coolant leak. We apologize if this wasn’t fully explained to you. It is important to us that your Cayenne is in a safe and dependable operating condition and understand that you have had these repairs performed at another local repair center. I would like to set the record straight. I did not ask for the dealer to match any quote, much less one from 2014. I simply chose to take my car to Porsche Towson instead. They were able to do the job in 2 hours instead of 14. They also charge actual time spent for diagnosis and not 1 hour labor for each issue, as is common practice with all Porsche dealers in the DC metro area. I have had this car serviced extensively at this dealer. I ask for some paperwork on old repairs as I am going to sell the car. I never got the paperwork despite promises. I wish they'd spend half the effort they've spent writing responses to finding some paperwork
