I have been researching new compact luxury SUVs for the past 18 months. The last 3 months, I have test driven Mercedes GLC, BMW X3, Maserati Grecale, and the Porsche Macan (3 trims) at various dealerships past 18 months. Once I decided to go forward with a Porsche Macan GTS trim, I worked very closely with 3 Porsche dealerships. Porsche Redwood City was the best and number 1 for me out of all of them! The receptionist at the showroom was very professional and friendly. She approached me and my wife. She was super accommodating and I wish I remembered her name. It was Sunday, 7/30/23, at 12:30 pm. You know who you are! The showroom is like a Porsche Museum with lots of new shiny cars with some unique Paint to Sample colors. The finance manager, Alex Hendardy, is very experienced and super friendly. He explained all the financials and add-ons. He answered all my questions. He was very personable, patient and didn't push anything I didn't want and gave me a great deal on things I needed. I highly recommend my Porsche Brand Ambassador, Samantha Sweitzer. I first communicated with her through an inquiry I initiated at the Porsche USA website. She responded to me via email on June 3, 2023. She informed me the GTS I was interested in was due to arrive on August 4th. I put a refundable hold deposit on it. During these 2 months, Samantha was always very responsive via email and through cell phone. She kept me updated and interested in the status of my future vehicle. She works very hard and even responded to me during her vacation. Samantha also called me on her scheduled day off to inform me of the good news that my vehicle arrived at the dealership a week early! She facilitated the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) before the service department closed for the weekend. Just 2 short days later, on Sunday (yesterday), I was driving home my new car. I am so happy with the outcome. Samantha always puts the customer first and respects my time. Before I arrived at our scheduled appointment, she asked me to fill out forms and give copies of insurance and CDL. She did this so she could build the deal and get the title doc going to help minimize my time at the dealership. She interfaces well with her sales and finance managers making my job smoother and working out the best deal for me. Samantha has excellent customer service skills, and she is very strong technically. It was great to go on a test drive with her and she gave me many pointers and let me really test this Macan GTS machine. Once the purchase agreement was signed, she gave me an overview of the vehicle's startup, operating processes, and shutdown of the vehicle. She helped me connect my phone to the infotainment system and helped me create My Porsche App account. She took her time and helped me configure and control various features of my car! She is quite a mentor. I look forward to when we meet up again for my 2nd orientation training once I get my feet wet.
