Dishonest. Deceitful. Unprofessional. Untrustworthy. That's my opinion of Porsche North Scottsdale. So if those four are not your preferred traits in the dealership you want to purchas Untrustworthy. That's my opinion of Porsche North Scottsdale. So if those four are not your preferred traits in the dealership you want to purchase your expensive new car from, you can stop reading this review now and find another dealership. They gladly took a $5K deposit from me for a car they were expecting to receive in their inventory within 3 weeks, sent me repeated emails confirming the car was "secured" to me in their system, that I was the only one with a deposit, and that "to avoid taking more than one deposit on the same car, salespeople are not allowed to commit a car to a customer, only management can, and management has this car committed to you. Do not worry, no one else can take it now." Throughout this time, I kept asking my SA for a sales invoice in my name, showing the deposit, model, VIN, etc. He wouldn't send it or acknowledge my ask. I did so twice in email and at least as many times over the phone. Throughout this time, he kept congratulating me both in email and over the phone on securing the "highly in-demand color combo" and saying that many customers keep calling to ask for my car but all are told it is sold (to me). He would end every email with a congratulatory note on securing the car. Then he went silent. He would write he needs to call me about something but then not actually call. After waiting for 2 days, I sent him a firmly-worded email on why I have not seen a sales invoice yet despite multiple requests. He finally called me the next day (ONE day before the car was to hit port) and said the car had been sold to someone else. I finally lost my cool with him and was livid. He said another SA and manager were involved in the sale, it wasn't his fault, and all he could do was offer a $500 add'l discount on a similarly-spec'd car they will get in 3 months. I asked whether that was so they could keep my $5K interest free and call me a few days before that one came to tell me they sold that too? It sounded like a badly thought-out joke to me. I called their sales manager Dave the next day. He was apologetic but told me a completely different reason for the sale, saying it was a special order by a customer "3 months ago" and never should've been committed to me to begin with. I told him I am not naive. I know how certain Porsche dealers operate; taking multiple deposits on one car, using the money interest-free for as long as they can, and then selling the car to someone else for any multitude of reasons, knowing all they'll need to do is refund the other buyers. He then said "what else could we do anyway besides apologize?". I told him there were a few things they could've done differently besides of course not selling a car multiple times: 1. He could've been honest and not have me hear two different stories from him and the SA. That smacks of dishonesty. 2. If this indeed was an honest mistake, they could've been timely in letting me know so I could review my options. I lost 4 similar cars to other buyers after this dealership committed the car to me. The SA avoiding a call meant he knew he needed to tell me about this but was avoiding the conversation. 3. I would've truly admired a note that said, "We royally screwed up and we cannot change that. But know that we have already refunded your $5K deposit without you asking because after using your money for free, we wouldn't ask for another deposit from you anyway should you choose to still do business with us. Plus, we have researched Porsche database and found all the cars that are close to the one you wanted, including those that are on dealer lots, at port, on a ship, or in production. We then called the dealers and found these ___ cars that are not pre-sold. We may or may not get the dealers to trade with us, but they will gladly sell them to you." Instead, they took the laziest, least-caring route they could and simply offered their own incoming car that is THREE months away. Not a way to earn anyone's business. How you proceed from here as a potential customer is up to you. More

I RECOMMEND THAT YOU AVOID PORSCHE NORTH SCOTTSDALE Porsche issued a recall notice for my 2013 Panamera for two mechanical issues. On three separate occasions I arranged an appointment with Porsche Nor Porsche issued a recall notice for my 2013 Panamera for two mechanical issues. On three separate occasions I arranged an appointment with Porsche North Scottsdale to have the recall repairs performed. On each of the three appointments scheduled, Porsche North Scottsdale service department called me the day before the appointment and cancelled my appointment with the excuse that the parts were not available at that time. Next, my battery died. I tried to jumpstart the car but I was unsuccessful. I reported my problem to Porsche North Scottsdale and asked them for assistance and/or recommendations for a solution.. The service department consultant told me, “It will be over two weeks before we can schedule you in to replace the battery, we have no loaner cars available and it’s your problem how you want to get the car to our dealership. Perhaps you can arrange to have it towed.” When I asked how much it would cost to replace the battery, the service consultant asked me for the VIN number of my vehicle. After I provided that information, the service consultant told me, “That will cost you $760.” I called Chandler Porsche and spoke with Ken Biddulph in the service department. Ken arranged to have my car jumpstarted the next morning and I drove it to the dealership. They serviced the recall issues with no problem and replaced my battery at no charge, under my vehicle warranty. They also provided me with a Porsche Macan loaner car. I recommend you AVOID PORSCHE NORTH SCOTTSDALE! More
