I don't like to write reviews until some time has elapsed because purchasing a vehicle is only a part of the equation . . . service is the bigger part as we all know. Tat being said, I have had my Cayenne in the "shop" 2-3 times since I purchase it, yesterday being the most recent, Based upon all of my experiences, from purchase to service I would, without hesitation, say that The Porsche Exchange is a far above average dealership in all respects. Mike was a pleasure to work with . . .; low key and not a bit pushy. While admittedly he stuck to his price, I believe the offset is that for the price you get absolutely spectacular service . . . each time I had my Cayenne in for service, I was treated as a special customer with the up-most respect and attention! Can I name the service folk who I interfaced with yes, but it would take too much time and too much space; it is far easier to simply say, "everyone at The Porsche Exchange, without exception . . . they did stellar work on the vehicle, were quick to answer each and every question or concern and always with a caring smile and concern. So, I will take this opportunity to say thank you The Porsche Exchange and be assured that my next one (and there will be a next one because you cannot have but a single Porsche) will purchase from Mike and his super group of employees! The Porsche Exchange is an interesting business .. . . can't say Sales was better or worse than service since they were all exceptionally good, no . . ., excellent! This last sentence was added after reading the question below asking who was most honest and helpful! Keep up the excellent work. Tony G. More
Fantastic experience with Faris, Bruce and Porsche Exchange Faris Nijim at Porsche Exchange provided us with an extremely personalized experience in ordering our Targa4S with European Delivery. From our first Faris Nijim at Porsche Exchange provided us with an extremely personalized experience in ordering our Targa4S with European Delivery. From our first face-to-face meeting through the final delivery at their gorgeous new building, Faris was always available and helpful. Via text, email or phone, Faris was always readily available providing excellent communication. His deep, deep knowledge of the product line and his many years of experience with the ordering process made my decision making straightforward and fun, and provided me with confidence that I was making solid decisions. Never pushy or condescending, Faris was always kind and helpful, asking pertinent questions and often providing not one but a variety of valuable suggestions. His guidance was always accurate and timely. Passion and commitment to client service is evident in how Faris interacts with his clients. He is a true professional, who loves what he does, and does it extremely well. You’ll be fortunate if you have the opportunity to work with Faris in purchasing your first or next Porsche. In addition, I would highly recommend Porsche’s European Delivery at Leipzig. Wow! What an experience. Beautiful hotel, awesome Porsche Customer facility and staff, exciting and diverse track with a professional driver in a car identical to what you are picking up (and of course you get to drive the track, too), in-depth tour of Porsche’s stunning, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, capped off with a gourmet dining overlooking the track. And thats just the beginning….then you have up to 30 days of driving your new Porsche on exhilarating European roads. We toured southern Germany on both country roads and the Autobahn (easily reached 245kph), then explore many mountain passes and country roads in Austria, Italy, Slovenia and northern Croatia. The Alps, the Dolomites, the Italian Lakes, the Julian Alps, the Adriatic coast….these are the roads Porsches are designed for. More
Porsche Exchange Service Center Experience was the Best My 1st visit there was 8 months ago was great...Service Associate (Josh) could not have been more accommodating. Dropped off car in the AM, and in 10 minutes drove off in the Porsche Cayenne free loaner. Later that day got a call from Josh that my Macan was ready. All work (maintenance) done perfectly, and everything was covered by the warranty so my bill was $0.00. Yesterday I was there again for an oil change and a PCM update. As I arrived I was amazed by the quality of their just built Sales and Service Facility...wow! The Large Service Bay are was Spotless. I was met by Service Associate (Tony) with a smile. He put me in the computer and then typed in my 5 point list of Service Requests. Printed out the work order and asked me to make sure it covered everything I need (it did.) Then he said he'd call me when it was ready... I started debating (out loud with myself) about my schedule and traffic downtown and whether I would be back this evening or tomorrow.... At that point another Service.Associate (David) said "Hey Sir I go your way every night...I would be happy to bring it to you and take the loaner (was a 2017 Macan with 750 miles on the clock) if it helps."-- WOW! Later that evening (4:00 PM or so) I get a call from Tony saying the PCM Update is giving us trouble but the Tech (no pun intended) said he'll keep on it until it's complete. David is still planning to bring your Macan back to you this evening. Couple of hours later David showed up, handed me my car key and a $0.00 (all covered under warranty) invoice, and picked up my loaner. THANKS David! My experiences at PE Service could not have been better--give them a try. More
Horrible experience. I once had an experience at a Chevy dealer that was straight out of Fargo. But my experience at Porsche Exchange recently was actually worse. If I I once had an experience at a Chevy dealer that was straight out of Fargo. But my experience at Porsche Exchange recently was actually worse. If I were to believe the finance manager, I should have been thrilled to hear about a proposed lease payment 40% higher than what I was expecting after my negotiations over the phone. After 30 minutes of challenging his numbers, he found two "honest mistakes" that lowered the price by over $300/month, but his monthly payment was still almost $200 more per month than my math showed. I walked out and called Rizza Porsche on the drive back to Chicago. The next morning I had a new 911, at a better discount, and their lease number matched mine to the penny. No markups, no BS, no "mistakes." I wished I had checked their rating on this site before I spent two hours roundtrip from Chicago. What a waste of time. More

Said it was spotless, nothing wrong with it at all, i even have that all in email. Well once it comes to sign paperwork they are like, "oh it actually has almost 2,000 miles on it." 500-600 mile discrepancy, not a huge deal but no concession on price and these things depreciate at $1-$2 per mile, not $0.50 like normal cars. So I dealt with that. Then once it was delivered to me, I had to pay the shipping of course, the delivery people point out all these dents, dings, scratches, nicks on the wheels and more. I'm like what are you talking about? I go to the local body shop I've used for years who are reasonable and what's the bill? Nearly $8,000!!! I contacted my sales guy, the assistant GM and the GM and get this, NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER! I then contacted Porsche and they sent a letter to the dealer instructing them to contact me, NOTHING. I even faxed, emailed and re-mailed the letter from Porsche over to these guys again, NOTHING. Great BS sales on the front end but if you have a problem you are SOL! I'm furious. Never buy from these guys, especially if you don't live locally like me. More
Service department damages car every time! I purchased a custom install radar detector and had it installed before I took delivery of the car. I also purchased and had installed before delivery I purchased a custom install radar detector and had it installed before I took delivery of the car. I also purchased and had installed before delivery a set of winter wheels and tires. I took the summer wheels that they had removed home so that I could clean, wax and prepare them for winter storage. When I got home I noticed a chip in one of my summer wheels. I called the service department to complain and set up an appointment to have it repaired. I was told to bring in the wheel. When I arrived with the wheel, I was completely ignored and had to search for someone to assist me in checking in. They finally had me put the wheel in an area of the service department and against my better judgement they told me they would send it out for repair instead of exchanging it. A week or so later I notice a tear in the driver door weather seal where the person installing the radar detector would lay to install the detector. I called again and set up an appointment. At that time I questioned whether or not they would have to order the door seal. The service man told me that they should have plenty of those in stock and would not be necessary. I also requested to have the radar display moved since is was blocking the rear view mirror and to touch up a minor scratch. I bring the car in and this time I was greeted a person but not sure what his position was. I explained with the help of my salesman what I needed to have done as well as put on the summer wheels which included the "repaired" wheel. When I got home I received a call stating that the work was done however they had to order the door seal (DUH!). I picked up the car right at closing (there was a gentleman who was kind enough to allow me to pick up the car since I live over an hour away). On my way home I noticed that the radar detector had not been moved (even though the ticket said it was) and when I got home I found that they did not repair the scratch. I checked out the repaired wheel and it was worse than when I dropped it off! I had a gouge around the edge from when the removed the tire, there was grit imbedded in the paint, the paint edge was jagged on one spoke and there is a white over spray on parts of the wheel. I dropped of the car today once again to have them do what was suppose to be done on the previous appointment and once again drop of the damaged wheel. I insisted on a new wheel, not a replacement. We will see what they do for me. I picked up my winter wheels to clean and wax them and don't you know two of the wheels have nicks and scratches! I called to complain and I was questioned whether or not I damaged the wheels! It is obvious that they were damaged due to carelessness while off the car (they had them for 2 months). Now I have to deal with that problem! I will update and let you know if the resolve the issues to my satisfaction and hope nothing else gets wrecked while my car is there! More

I live 3 hours away in NW Indiana and pass right by 2 other Porsche dealers that are MUCH closer and easier to get to for me on the way every time I go to the Exchange. You would only go to the best hospital if you needed surgery, going to the Exchange is like taking your car to the Mayo Clinic of Porsche service. Nice work, keep it up. Aaron More
I recently purchased a 2011 Cayenne from David McCann. I simply cannot believe that one of the negative reviews of this dealership involves the same sales rep I dealt with. From the time I first visited th simply cannot believe that one of the negative reviews of this dealership involves the same sales rep I dealt with. From the time I first visited the Porsche Exchange to the time I took delivery of my new Cayenne, I probably met or spoke with David McCann at least 8 times. I have never experienced a higher level of service, attentiveness, and responsiveness than what Mr. McCann provided to myself and my wife. What really impressed me was that even after our order for the vehicle was placed and our deposit taken, Mr. McCann called on several occasions to not only apprise us of the vehicle's status, but to offer his time to thoroughly teach us about the vehicle we were purchasing and to tour the dealership and learn about the entire Porsche line. The overriding feeling I got after dealing with McCann and the Porsche Exchange is that these people truly believe in the product they are representing...they aren't just selling it. They want you to know everything about it, and to recognize the technological marvel that Porsche products are. Once you spend time learning about it, you realize that you can never NOT have a Porsche in your life..it is simply too special of a vehicle. I am a financial trader from downtown Chicago and have recommended McCann and the Porsche exchange to no less than 3 of my friends over the past few months. Although they did not purchase a vehicle when the visited the dealership, they told me they had a great meeting with McCann and will most definitely call him when they are ready to purchase (they are waiting for 2012's..) Before I visited the Porsche Exchange, other dealerships I visited tried to underhandedly mark-up the finance rate and make juice on financing acquired directly from Porsche. Those guys would be at home selling Hyundai's or Dodge's...not Porsche's. Porsche Exchange was upfront and transparent about the entire deal. I NEVER ONCE felt as though I was being forced or pressured or being worked over like other places make you feel. There is no question people can feel 'disrespected' if someone doesn't fall all over them and treat them like a king when they walk into a high-end car dealership. But if you're a grown-up and have no self-image issues, you will be happy if you are simply treated with respect and honestly. In that sense, Porsche Exchange and David McCann have earned my repeat Porsche business with no caveats. More

The sales representatives were very knowledgeable about the vehicles and took time to answer all of our questions and show us various options available on the Cayenne. During our second visit, we briefly spoke numbers with one of the sales reps and were given a ball-park number for the Cayenne. Later in the week, I called one of the sales reps to set up a time to meet with full intent on purchasing a Cayenne S. I left work early to make the trip from the loop to the Porsche Exchange. After arriving at the dealership and waiting about 2 hours to talk to the sales rep, we were told that they couldn’t sell us a car for anything less than sticker. This of course took us by surprise as this number was far from what we had briefly discussed during our prior visit. The Porsche Exchange said that they would call us the next day to talk further about numbers – but they never called. I fault the management at the Porsche Exchange for not staffing their business with employees empowered to negotiate and make sales during their listed sales hours. If you want someone to waste your time – the Porsche Exchange is for you. If you want to buy a car at a dealership that values your time go elsewhere. In the end, we ended having a great experience at Napleton Porsche in Westmont and ended up purchasing a Cayenne S from Napleton less than a week later. More
