Worst used car buying experience ever! Extremely poor follow up (ok, none really) as well as commitments made which were later broken - this is why car dealers have a "reputation" follow up (ok, none really) as well as commitments made which were later broken - this is why car dealers have a "reputation" More
Nick Gentile walked me through an out of state deal for a hard to find used car in their inventory. He was highly accommodating to my many requests for pictures, reports, etc., and while the whole process to hard to find used car in their inventory. He was highly accommodating to my many requests for pictures, reports, etc., and while the whole process took some time due to the snow/power crisis in Austin, he made everything happen and delivered. I was very happy with how easy everything was; paperwork was straightforward, there were zero surprises. They even included enclosed transport as part of our deal. Thank you very much, Nick. More
Customer Service at best is poor for a luxury car and it’s price. it’s been more than a year that I have been waiting for them to replace a faulty key. Quick to sell you a car as well as quick to ignor it’s price. it’s been more than a year that I have been waiting for them to replace a faulty key. Awful experience. We purchased a 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo (an almost $190,000 vehicle) in August 2017. The salesperson was helpful prior to the sale, but post the sale effectively disappeared. We b Turbo (an almost $190,000 vehicle) in August 2017. The salesperson was helpful prior to the sale, but post the sale effectively disappeared. We began to have issues with the back hatch not closing or opening at undetermined times. At 6,950 miles we took the car in to have the hatch repaired (Jan 2018) and the vehicle was in the shop 3 days. They stated the problem was fixed. Throughout the next 12,000 miles the car went in for the same issue another 10 times for a total of almost 80 days in the shop. The final straw was when the vehicle hatch flew open at 65mph on the highway with our young children in the backseat. We felt like our children could have been pulled out the back and died. It truly terrified my wife and myself and was a surreal experience. We took the car back at that point and refused to drive it any further. Rather than coming up with a resolution Porsche Austin told us the car was fine so we went to Porsche North America to take up the issue. Porsche Austin continued to claim they either fixed the problem or could not replicate the issue. Finally, the Porsche service rep in 2019 admitted this was an issue “with every Panamera on the lot” and Porsche North America being involved flew a representative to Austin to view the vehicle. Porsche NA offered to pay us for damages, but the dealer still offered nothing. The lease was finally up, and we returned the vehicle to Porsche Austin. Ish Chowdhury (Pre-owned Director) walked the vehicle and said it was in great condition. There was nothing other than normal wear and tear and accepted the vehicle for turn in. 4-6 months later we received a bill for approximately $1,200 for what Porsche Austin claimed was excess damage. The General Manager never once spoke to us about the issues, did not respond to emails and ultimately the sales rep Brendan Sipple was non-responsive. We have leased 10-15 vehicles in our adult life and Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW all have been wonderful. We never once have been billed for excess wear and tear and Land Rover Austin once replaced a vehicle as it was a Lemon. Damon – the General Manager at Land Rover Austin has always been amazing to work with. Overall, Porsche has the 911 which the Panamera Turbo aims to drive like and the driving experience when the vehicle worked was amazing, but the dealership, the customer service from the dealership and ownership experience is the worst we have ever experienced. We cannot say never buy a Porsche, but we can say never buy a Porsche from Porsche Austin. Hands down the worst customer service we have ever dealt with for a vehicle. More
Chase is awesome. He has taken good care of my both cars. He has been a good communicator and thorough and accommodated short noticed services. My car runs and looks great after the last service. Service adviser, Jordan, was great—got appointment in loaner vehicle on the date I requested. Kept me informed and worked to get best pricing. Car runs great and was super clean when I picked it up. loaner vehicle on the date I requested. Kept me informed and worked to get best pricing. Last year, I took my Porsche to Morespeed for service. It was more expensive and I’m not sure that inspected everything as they should. No commUnication about the car. Jordan was very helpful when I brought was more expensive and I’m not sure that inspected everything as they should. No commUnication about the car. Jordan was very helpful when I brought my 911 Turbo in for service. The price was lower than quoted and ready earlier than expected. I always know that everything will be done correctly at the dealership. GD More
Good service. Getting better. Should be great because it’s a Porsche but moving in the right direction. Looking forward to the new office. More geographically desirable and hopefully more roomy. it’s a Porsche but moving in the right direction. Looking forward to the new office. More geographically desirable and hopefully more roomy.
