I was pleasantly surprised to find the Convertible that caught my eye. I mentioned that to the Service Manager who in turn passed on my interest to Reggie Carr who in turn worked with me resulting in my purchase of the vehicle. All in all a 4 hour event that went very smoothly. More

The sales experience for ordering the car at MSRP was consistent to my initial review as I went to my designated sales associate, Nick, who I always have a pleasure working with. Other than the usual slowness with management filling out the sales order paperwork and correcting their typos, all is well on the sales front. My only complaint is that they still run a credit check that involves a hard pull from Experian even if you don't finance from Porsche Financial, despite being a repeat customer within a year. What didn't go smoothly was when I decided to sell my current car at a negotiated appraisal price from them a week later. I was given an estimate of 1-1.5 weeks by the manager before the check would be cut and waited without any updates or transparency of the process. Unfortunately, the bureaucracy involved with paying for vehicles, despite a clear title, is pretty deep. The delay ended up being 3 weeks with endless rounds of phone tag, a check that got lost in the mail (accounting dept is just 15 min away at BMW), and even a Porsche Cars North America complaint from my end. A request for a loaner while waiting the extended period was denied as well. I got paid in the end so at least the job was done. Sept 2014 (Original Review): I recently had a pleasurable experience with my new custom ordered Porsche purchase at Porsche of Arlington. My Sales Consultant, Nick, was great to work with, took me on an extensive and fun test drive, and never put any pressure during the entire transaction. In fact, most of the time we were really just chatting about sports cars of all makes and models rather than the mundane car sales stuff. It did help I guess that I knew exactly what I wanted and wasn't relying on any of the dealership's finance options. My initial offer for the car build I wanted was declined by management, but Nick managed to convince them literally just 10 minutes after I drove off on the way to another local Porsche dealer. In the end I was extremely satisfied with the finalized offer considering most folks looking for the same vehicle did not fare as well. There was a minor hiccup where I couldn't get solid information on a confirmed allocation for the car I ordered, which made me slightly anxious and nervous as the deposit is non-refundable. However, after a quick intervention by Porsche of North America, Porsche of Arlington management got back to me to let me know the details as indicated by their regional rep that has that information and all was good. During the painful wait for the car, Nick always replied back to me within a business day for any questions I had and status update requests. He provided me with more than enough information that on the day of delivery everything came to no surprise and went just as planned, including the balance due correct to the penny. They were still in the old temporary building where BMW of Arlington used to be during the whole experience and I'm looking forward to their brand new modern Porsche showroom. If I were to look for another Porsche or needed to refer someone I knew, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Nick again. More
Great Salesman I recently took delivery of one of the first new Macan Turbos from Nicholas Segedi at Porsche of Arlington; it was a great experience. I’m something I recently took delivery of one of the first new Macan Turbos from Nicholas Segedi at Porsche of Arlington; it was a great experience. I’m something of a car buff and I find most salesmen lack the motivation to greet a potential customer as he comes in the showroom door. This was not the case with Nicholas who immediately greeted me and wanted to know how he could help. At that time, no Macans had yet arrived in the U.S., so Nicholas took all the time that was necessary to explain the new car to me. My experience was a good one, and led me to make a deposit on a car model I had not yet seen, in part because Nicholas was very passionate about the brand and the new model. Over the weeks ahead, he kept me up to date throughout the process, answered my questions as they arose, and arranged for a test drive when the first Macan arrived at his dealership. The dealership’s spectacular space-age building is now almost completed, and I look forward to seeing Nicholas there when it is time for service. I’m sure the environment of the new building will assist Nicholas and his colleagues who are educated, genuine, and passionate about the brand. More

Just Walk Away. If you are reading this and considering a Porsche, consider a different dealership other than Porsche of Arlington. Read all the other reviews below, and you will see that this dealership is dishonest, doesn't return phone calls or emails, and is overall "shady". Here is my adventure: My wife's lease was up on her car (a Toyota Highlander) and she was interested in the Porsche Cayenne. We went to test drive the car on a Saturday afternoon in July 2014 and liked the car very much. We discussed purchasing the vehicle or leasing it due to the high monthly payment. So far, so good... Then the sales manager Kevin became involved and the hard sell began. He offered to throw in the maintenance for the term of the lease or purchase (a $2500 value) but told me I could put less $ down on a lease. He just needed some time to rework the numbers. 5 hours later we were still there (we should have walked out, but my wife liked the car) and they kept presenting us with different options for a purchase or a lease with different dollar amounts. It became even more confusing when the general manager (Sami) got involved because I wanted to know if there was any residual value in trading in the Toyota.. He hemmed and hawed and couldn't give me a straight answer. It became a "we'll see" situation... To make a long story short, somehow WE ended up paying for the maintenance, after I asked multiple times that the dealership was absorbing that cost as part of the deal. We realized it after we got home (6 hours later) and called the next day. They told us that that was never part of the deal... We also never got an answer on value for our trade in... 2- It took over a month to receive our new tags and plates. Multiple phone calls and stopping by the dealership made no difference. 3- their finance manager disappeared... literally... I kept leaving messages for him and never got a call or email back. It wasn't until I stopped by the dealer that I was told he no longer worked there... 4- Payoff on my Toyota was not done for 45 days. I am still receiving monthly statements from Toyota with late charges.. 5- My wife and I went in to complain about the customer service we experienced in buying a new luxury vehicle. We met with Sami (the GM) and Tony Veal (the new finance manager). We discussed the maintenance issue again, and was told that we agreed to pay that charge (we did NOT). We had to make 5 different trips back to the dealer to get our plates and registration. By the way, as of this writing, i still haven't heard back from Tony Veal... Overall, the Cayenne is a great vehicle. I have no issues with the car. The dealership is AWFUL. I will never return there for service or to get another vehicle. I've contacted Porsche of North America about this dealership... My advice: Go elsewhere... More
Don't bother I had a wonderful buying experience at Porsche of Arlington around mid-July. However, as much as I would like to write a positive review, I simply can I had a wonderful buying experience at Porsche of Arlington around mid-July. However, as much as I would like to write a positive review, I simply cannot. I was ultimately let down by their horrific customer support post purchase. Keep in mind, you will pay a $499 service fee just for purchasing a car at “Porsche of Arlington”, where that five hundred dollars goes to, I have not the faintest clue, but it surely is not to customer service. When I traded in my car and purchased their vehicle, I did not have the title readily handy. I drove it down to the dealer (60 miles out of my way) to hand deliver the title two business days later. Another business day later I paid $15 to overnight the state inspection for the vehicle I purchased so that I could get my new tags as soon as possible. About four business days later, I get a call from Porsche of Arlington stating they need the title for the vehicle I traded in…I’m sorry, what? I immediately told them it was somewhere in their possession since I hand delivered it to them the week prior. The confusion and buffoonery continues. When I returned from a business trip in the middle of August, I quickly realized my temporary tags had expired. What made it worse the fact that I was scheduled to fly out the following week for work, with absolutely no time to put up with such nonsense. I give Porsche of Arlington a call, explain the situation, wait on hold for about ten minutes, and then was quickly told, “because we experienced such massive delays with acquiring your documents (title and MD inspection) your tags are still in process. When do you want to come down to pick up a new set of temporary tags?”. I was livid, actually fuming. Not only because this is simply another headache that should not occur, but because I was being blamed when in actuality I did everything I could do expedite the process. Furthermore, after requesting to speak to a manager, they put me on hold for thirty minutes and then stated they lost my call. Once reconnected, I requested they email me a new set of temporary tags before 1pm so I could get on with my day. Well, 1pm rolls around my email inbox is still bare. I give them another call at 1.15pm and they stated, “oh, I was not aware you needed these tags by a certain time”. At this point I simply threw my hands up in the air and gave up, you simply cannot properly deal with incompetence. In the end, Porsche of Arlington does not care about anything but accomplishing the sale. Any post sale customer service is nonexistent, even after putting up a $499 dealer service fee. Save yourself the time, money, and aggravation and purchase from a dealership with employees who actually care. More

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU EXPECT ANY LEVEL OF COMPETENCE! Porsche of Arlington has a complete lack professionalism, accountability and follow-thru across the board. Shame on us for giving them any business! Porsche of Arlington has a complete lack professionalism, accountability and follow-thru across the board. Shame on us for giving them any business! We wanted to leave during the sales process but this dealer had the only vehicle in stock with the specifications we wanted. While finance was running the numbers and we were still negotiating price, our salesman, Keith told us to call our insurance and have the VIN # added to our policy. We questioned this and were told by the finance director it is usual and customary with high end vehicles. Luckily, the insurance agent would not insure an asset we hadn't taken possession of and even stated, "They're trying to pull a fast one on you". After hanging up with her, and refusing to add to our policy pre purchase, Victor, the used car sales manager insisted we had a misunderstanding and instructed the finance director Tony to share the finance options with us. Once the entire transaction was over and we had signed all the documents and were ready to drive off, we were informed they had only one key for the car and a second key is several hundred dollars. We thought that was pretty slimy and complained and were told "maybe they could find it". We asked for a new car tutorial but our "certified Porsche expert" salesman simply didn't know how to turn on the wipers, headlights, sat radio, etc. He was more interested in getting us out the door than in familiarizing us with our new car. In the end, the vehicle ended up sitting for 5 days because they didn't get the license plates to us in the time they had guaranteed. We spoke with the sales manager Victor and he assured us they would get us extended temporary tags. He also assured us he would have his tag and title clerk at BMW Alexandria (which seems odd) handle the registration issue. As expected, this did not turn out in our favor. We expressed our complete disappointment, disgust, and regret to the manager and his reply was the generic "sorry you feel that way". One caveat, we purchased a pre owned Porsche still within the original new car warranty time, and had no interaction with the new car sales team, so we cannot speak to the level of competence in that part if the dealership in the area. However, if our sales representative also operates in this area, good luck. Hopefully reading about our awful experience with this dealership will help to prevent someone else from becoming the unfortunate victim of their sleazy business practices and perhaps make a potential customer of Porsche of Arlington consider making the drive to any other Porsche dealer. We were told by the sales manager all would be taken care of at no charge since we had purchased the Porsche bumper to bumper warranty. So we purchased the vehicle and took it home, on an empty tank of gas no less. We proceeded to make an appointment with Ron in the service department and dropped off the vehicle. We called ahead to inform them exactly when we will be there to pick up the vehicle and we still had to wait 30 min while they washed it. Then we noticed some new scratches on the rear fender and followed them along the side of the car to reveal a dent and some rubber marks, definitely caused by dragging the rubber hoses of the pneumatic air tool against the car. Additionally, we found a parking ticket on the dash. Why would the dealer need to park my vehicle on the streets of Arlington for 30 minutes in the middle of the afternoon? I thought they had a shuttle vehicle for errands....This was all brought to the attention of the service manager and unfortunately we had to bring these issues to the attention of the senior-level service manager for resolution. The level of micromanagement required by the customer for a vehicle at this price point is unsatisfactory. More
