I did my research like any first car buyer should do, didn't rush into purchasing the vehicle. My initial contact with the dealership was more than 2 weeks before I went in to the dealership. I did a comparison for all the dealerships within an hour radius, this dealer had reasonable pricing and the vehicle I wanted was in stock. I finally decided to go in and meet the salesman I was in contact with. I arrived, the salesman showed me the car, we talked numbers, I then told him I was going to go home to look over the terms we were agreeing on. He didn't seem too happy about me wanting to leave, towards the end, he seemed very frustrated and let out a curse word or two. (P.S. The salesman was trying very hard to persuade me to lease the vehicle instead.) The same day, about 4 hours later, I called him back and let him know the numbers we agreed on sounded good to me. I returned to the dealership. After about an hour of waiting, we began paperwork in the finance office. It was now nearly 10pm, and I was in my brand new car. I felt awesome because I did not feel like i was being ripped off, and of course, because I had just purchased a brand new car. 10 days later at 11:59a.m. I received a call from the finance department, I was told that the bank needed further information. According to him, they needed my bank statements. I went in and printed 3 previous months and the current statements. (Chose to finance with Kia) It all went downhill from here. If it wasn't one thing, it was another. I had to keep calling every few days to see what the status on my finance was. I was told by finance that they would call me back, they never did. I was the one always calling trying to figure out what was happening with this situation. I was extremely stressed out due to this ordeal. Nothing was being resolved at this point. I received a call about a month after taking the vehicle off the lot, the finance guy told me that he would need my manager to write a letter stating I made 'X' amount of money to show the bank. He promised me I would not get Audited because the letter was for the bank only. Sorry guys, but this was not part of the deal we discussed. Everything on my end was down to the tee. Everything on their end? Not so much. Falsifying documents does not sound too good for business. I mentioned to them a few times that I would go ahead and return the vehicle, they insisted I didn't. I let it be known that I did not have a problem returning it. I finally returned the vehicle 49 days after driving it off the lot. My downpayment of $6k was returned within a few days. I'm never doing business again with this dealership. The sales and finance department need to work on customer service. Don't offer deals you can't go through with. Don't ask customers to falsify paperwork, and at least try to return a customers call, especially when there is such a big mess on your end going on. Sad to say this dealership practices yo-yo scams.I'm not the only one, there is another yelp user that was a victim of their yo-yo scams within the past few months. What is a Yo-Yo Scam? : "A typical spot delivery is any deal where the financing is not finalized until after the consumer has already taken the car home from the dealership. The deal becomes a "yo-yo" scam when the consumer is called back into the dealership and told that the deal cannot be made as agreed. At that point, the consumer is told to either return the car or accept financing at more expensive terms. " If I could give 0/0 stars, trust me, I would. Unnecessary stress and embarrassment caused by this dealership. (Tip to consumers: Wait until you receive your plates to buy accessories for your car. I made the mistake of tinting my windows right away. Over $200 job and had to return the car.) Hopefully this review raises awareness to consumers trying to buy a car, first time or not. More
Very Rude, unfriendly. I went into the dealership looking for some parts ( Belts for my KIA) Brian ask if I had the VIN# . SO I gave him my Reg. He takes it to the back and ask what I was looking for as far for some parts ( Belts for my KIA) Brian ask if I had the VIN# . SO I gave him my Reg. He takes it to the back and ask what I was looking for as far as belts, while he was still in the back. I asked him what were prices on the belts I heard the keyboard being used. I told him that I had a coupon and I walk back to my car. He tells me some pricing that was not the same from the day before. I ask just for the timing belt gave him my coupon that states keep this in your wallet. I figured that I was able to use that 15% coupon until it expired at the end of June because I knew that I was going back to pick up some more parts. I pay for my part and I proceed to ask for my Reg. and he tells me I gave that back to you already and gives me a funny look. I told him he didnt and the he walks away to the back and come back with my Reg. I then ask about my coupon and he tells me that it is a one use. I tried to explain that broucher said keep it. Brian then gives me a look that I was stupid for asking that. So rather than fight and argue. I would just right about it. I tried to call the GM but The store was still not open at 830a. More
