Just an OK experience I recently came to Leckner NIssan to check out a 2013 Honda CR-V. It didn't get off to a good start as someone had left the lights on and the battery I recently came to Leckner NIssan to check out a 2013 Honda CR-V. It didn't get off to a good start as someone had left the lights on and the battery was dead and had to be jumped. As I put the car in reverse, there was a loud popping sound, followed by a grinding noise. The grinding was attributed to the rotors having been turned recently. As I looked at the rotors they were completely rust covered. As this was an auction vehicle from NJ, the rusted rotors gave me real concern over what else might be rusted. I gathered that the vehicle hadn't been driven in some time, hence the loud popping from the rusted rotors when I first went in reverse. The other issue is that the advertisement for the car prominently stated the car had new tires (all caps with asterisks), which it clearly did not, having only 6/32 of tread remaining. I had a tread depth gauge and showed the salesman. He took me in the back so I could show him on a new tire the tread should be 10/32. This was attributed to a mistake made by the 3rd party who placed the ad. I know all dealer have a disclaimer that they are not responsible for mistakes in their advertising, but claiming new tires when they aren't new is a pretty big oversight. They did agree to put new rotors on but not tires. Even though there are disclaimers on the ads, I think a dealer should reasonably honor what is stated. What's a set of new tires for a big dealership? They have racks of them in the back. I may have considered purchasing in spite of the tire issue, but the excessive rust on the rotors was a real red flag. As far as my salesman, Monte Tucker, he was great to work with. No pressure, he was honest and did go to bat for me with the rotors and tires. I can't really recommend this dealership for non-Nissan used cars, but if you do come here I'd go with Monte. More

I expected that their good price would have “add ons” (military, college…). But it did not. I took the price to other dealers in the Washington DC area, where I live, and they refused to even “challenge” the price, saying that “I was being scammed” and “There is no way there are selling cars for that price”. Now, I had a problem. I am still responding from the “great recession” and my credit was in poor order. So I called up Don in finance and he worked with me. It turned out that my wife had a better score than I, so we put her as the primary and I did need a small down payment although I tried to go “no money down”. The interest rate was a little high, but I got the car. There was one point mid-way were I needed to pay for Virginia tags, however it I stated that I was transferring Maryland tags (where I live), it would have cost $210 dollars more and I had not planned on this. My wife and I were thinking of walking (money is so tight for us). But Alfonso (the night sales manager) took the money off. I was floored at him doing this. Remember this is on a deal that was less than True Car. By the way, I advise calling the dealers rather than using a service. Find your car on the Nissan USA inventory site and call (those sites eat into the price). I additionally advise having the financial contract done on paper, it is much easier to understand and you can add up the costs. So, they close at 9PM, we got done at 10 PM and Jeremy (the salesman, a young but very knowledgeable man) stayed late and made sure all was good. One last thing, you would think that I was buying an expensive car. This was a base model Versa S. The lowest priced car in America. I have only the relationship of a buyer and I was so impressed with this dealer that I felt I needed to take the time to inform others ….good job! Bought 11 Jan 2016 More

After a year of having issue after issue with my old car, I decided I would end the year with the purchase of a reliable car. I was specifically looking for a 2013-2014 Honda Accord EX-L. After searching the Internet for a couple days to understand the market for the car, I found one at Leckner Nissan which is about 1.5 hours from my home. The car seemed fairly priced with low mileage and in good condition so I decided to make a trip out to see it. At the dealership, I was greeted by Karl Wilkins who seemed very friendly. I let him know why I came and he showed me the Accord I saw online. The car had more damage than I noticed in the photos, but Karl let me know the car would be detail cleaned and reconditioned inside and out, but this one hadn't gone through the body shop yet. He assured me if I purchased the car it would get priority to be reconditioned. I decided it could be a good option and wanted to talk numbers. Everything worked out to my satisfaction and I purchased the car. I brought the car back to have the repairs and they did exactly what they said they would do. One thing I can assure you, it wasn't always easy, but they are very committed to making sure you are satisfied with your experience. More
