The ratings above are based on our experience with Mr. Peter LeComte at Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly. My wife and I recently purchased the 2010 ES 350 Ultra Luxury edition from Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly Peter LeComte at Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly. My wife and I recently purchased the 2010 ES 350 Ultra Luxury edition from Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly. We had a great experience largely due to our sales consultant Peter LeComte. Peter was genuine, sincere and personable; this was evident from our initial encounter. Throughout the entire process, Peter was not pushy or aggressive. His professionalism and patience was very instrumental in our decision to purchase from Pohanka. Pohanka placed a special order for our ES as our color combination was not available and there was a waiting period of about two weeks. During the two week timeframe, Peter was attentive in his follow-up by keeping us updated regularly via email and phone. We truly appreciate Peter’s outstanding customer service and his assistance with making this a great buying experience for us. We highly recommend Peter LeComte and look forward to working with him again in the future. More
We recently purchased our Lexus from Pohanka in Chantilly. Peter and Caitlin were both extremely professional and courteous and attended to every detail about the car. We were looking at several Chantilly. Peter and Caitlin were both extremely professional and courteous and attended to every detail about the car. We were looking at several different makes of cars at the time at various dealerships around the area, and Peter was very knowledgeable about all the cars we were reviewing. We visited 3 separate times- once for each of us to drive the car (without kids) and once to make the purchase- and worked with Peter and Caitlin each time. We wound up getting a better deal on the ES 350 than on the Toyota Avalon (another car we were considering) because Lexus was offering finance terms that were so much more attractive than that of the other dealership. We immediately sent another friend to the dealership, and he purchased a car from Peter and Caitlin as well! Highly recommend them. More
Well the experience we had was very good or one might say great! We went through the Costco Auto Buy service, we got the price we wanted on a new car or what we thought we should pay for a RX350, 2110. We t great! We went through the Costco Auto Buy service, we got the price we wanted on a new car or what we thought we should pay for a RX350, 2110. We traded in a 2008 GX470 and we got a fair trade in we just kind of exchanged cars which is what I wanted to do. We had nothing but a great experience with everyone we had to deal with, we emailed Pohanaka through Costco and were contacted in 5 minutes by a sales person and when we got there the sales consultant was waiting for us even though it was a extremly busy Saturday. This is the first time we have been a customer of Pohanka Lexus. We switched from Lindsay Lexus which is a whole other story. More
I don't quite understand some of the negative reviews on Pohanka Lexus. My experience has been quite the opposite. I purchased a certified preowned 2007 Lexus ES 350 in June 2009. My salesperson, Christy Pohanka Lexus. My experience has been quite the opposite. I purchased a certified preowned 2007 Lexus ES 350 in June 2009. My salesperson, Christy Lee, was fabulous. She was professional, courteous, very friendly, candid, patient and so easy to work with. She did everything she said she would and made sure all my needs were met before and after the purchase. I got a kick out of Jim Litwin (one of the finance managers). Very good sense of humor. He helped me get a great interest rate that beat my credit union's rate. Joe Brown (another finance manager) took care of the purchase paperwork, which was a seamless process. Now onto my service experience. It's been less than a month and there has been a problem identified. I was a bit disappointed considering it was a Lexus and from all my research Lexus is one of the most reliable and quality built cars out there. I noticed an annoying vibrating/rattling noise coming directly above the driver side visor. It was in the roof. After 3 weeks, I could take no more of this. I called up the service department at Pohanka Lexus and was told to bring my car down. As I was driving down there, lots of dollar signs was floating through my head, as I am told Pohanka is not the cheapest place around. Andrew Morton, one of the service consultants was great. He had good customer service skills and was very good with follow-up. He had Donald Miller, a diagnostic specialist, accompany me to test drive the car in order to identify the problem. I drove first. He heard the noise, but then switched seats with me to make sure he located where the noise was coming from. Donald not only correctly diagnosed the problem, but he fixed it as well. I was in and out of the service department within 30 minutes and my car is super quiet now. And all this didn't cost me a cent! I was strongly debating whether or not to have my regular maintenance done at any Lexus or find a good local independent auto repair shop, but with their great customer service, good diagnosis, quality work, terrific hours (5:30am to 11pm 365 days a year), nice facility and amenities, there is no comparison. I am not a Lexus employee or related to one. When it comes to cars, I don't find many people as anal as me. This is my 7th car in 4 years (I love cars), so I have had my share of experiences with dealerships and auto maintenance. If you are looking to buy a Lexus in the Northern Virgina area, I would highly recommend Christy Lee. If you are looking for quality auto service, ask for Donald Miller. He has fixed cars for over 25 years and knows what he's talking about. Thank you Donald, Christy and Pohanka Lexus! More
The only nice thing about the service department is the lounge and complimentary carwash. Other than that, this place is a complete scam!!! I went in today to have them replace the sway bar bushings on lounge and complimentary carwash. Other than that, this place is a complete scam!!! I went in today to have them replace the sway bar bushings on my '97 LS400. The service advisor asked what the symptoms were and I explained. The service advisor said he would have the technician do a test drive and do a proper "diagnosis." Okay, fine! The service advisor comes back to me two hours later and gives me a whole laundry list of things that he wants me to pay to replace, and informs me of problems that don't exist, such as a cracked timing belt (the timing belt was replaced only 30k miles ago by a Lexus dealership!). They also told me I have a lot of clunking during braking (not true, and I would have noticed). Ironically, he said the technician couldn't even hear the noise I brought the car in for! The total cost to do their "recommended" repairs would've easily been over $3000. I politely declined. I asked them to just replace the sway bar bushings and be done with it! End of the scam, right? Wrong! Another 90 minutes later, and the service advisor tells me the car is finished. Yippee!! I get to the little service counter and he starts explaining to me what they ended up doing. "We're so nice that we saved you some money and just lubed the sway bar bushings." WHAT?! Okay, how much money did they save me? This better be good... They saved me about $34. $34!!!!! I paid $226 to have them spray WD40 on the sway bar bushings!! That, and the noise didn't go away because they did not do what I had asked them to do--replace the sway bar bushings! If you have a Lexus, stay AWAY from this service department. Find an independent mechanic (good honest ones exist that are familiar with these cars). I was disgusted at the number of people they told that their tires were "bald and ready to pop at any moment". Many people fell for it. One guy paid over $750 to have two front tires mounted and balanced. That's race car tire pricing, folks!!! They will never get my business EVER again. Well, maybe the parts department will, because I will be doing all of my repairs MYSELF! More
First visit to a Lexus dealership (Pohanka Lexus of Chantilly) and it will be my last. Salesman was nice but off in left field trying to come up with trade-in values. Pohanka actually gave me Chantilly) and it will be my last. Salesman was nice but off in left field trying to come up with trade-in values. Pohanka actually gave me a trade in value (for my Mercedes) that was $10K less than KBB trade-in value. They also kept referring to my friend accompanying me as my wife. I tried to make it a point and even joked about no ring(s) but I guess they couldn't get the picture. Lastly, they kept praising their dealership and saying they're December sale to remember was like no other but yet gave me a price on a car which was $4K above it's MSRP. Poor experience to say the least. More
I bought my 2004 Lexus LS430 new from this dealership in December, 2003. The service has never been anything less than exemplary. Whether it was a recall when the transmission was replaced or regular warr December, 2003. The service has never been anything less than exemplary. Whether it was a recall when the transmission was replaced or regular warranty service, they were great. As far as I can recall, whenever I asked about bringing the car in for service they said bring it right in. Most regular service was done while I waited. When I had to leave my car I was provided with a clean Lexus loaner for $5. They were always good about calling to keep me informed and to let me know when the car was ready. And, the car was always washed before I picked it up. I've read many complaints about dealer service departments, so I thought I'd let people know about a really good one. And, no, I was not paid to write this, nor do I have any relatives working there. Just a pleasant buying and service experience. My only complaint is that the prices seem a little high. But, it was an expensive car. Most non-warranty service I do myself or have a local mechanic attend to. More
