In 2007 we purchased an RX 400 h from Peter L for my wife. It was a great deal and remains an outstanding car and dealership. Recently I was looking for a new car for myself. I got quotes for a Chevy wife. It was a great deal and remains an outstanding car and dealership. Recently I was looking for a new car for myself. I got quotes for a Chevy Volt and Toyota Prius. This would have been my 4th Prius and 7th car from the same Toyota dealer/ salesman. Neither deal really excited me so we went to see Peter at Pohanka just to find out what he could do. I have never seen myself in a Lexus. After a lot of hard but friendly work with Peter I am now the proud owner of an ES 300 h. Peter was totally committed to meeting and exceeding our needs in all aspects of the deal. He met or beat both the Chevy and Toyota quotes. He was a consummate professional in every aspect, vehicle price, trade in,product knowledge and new car prep. He truly made us feel he was interested in usvas long term customers and has in fact continued to follow up months after the sale. While I have had a long term relationship with Toyota prior to this, I am now committed to having Peter and Pohanka as my sole " go to" dealer. More

No pressure, took the time to find a vehicle exact to my specifications, and a reasonable price for the new v patient in addressing all my questions. Was able to negotiate down a bit and agree on a price to my satisfaction. The trade-in value offered for my former vehicle was reasonable as well. Do not waste your time with this dealer. We spoke to Peter L the night before our 3 and a half hour drive to confirm the car we wanted was still available. Upon arrival we find out immediately that the car we have driven 3 and a half hours for has had a deposit on it for the past 2 days and was unavailable. needless to say we were FURIOUS do not waste your time with this joke of a business. This deal at Pohankus Lexus was a painless transaction, unlike some of my past new car purchases within the same family of cars. Pohanka Lexus was the only dealer with more than one certified 2012 RX 450h to look at (5 available) and all of their vehicles were extremely low miles (the one we purchased had <9200 miles) with aggressive pricing. Every other dealer within 500 miles of our home in upstate SC had RX 450h's with almost 10k more miles and were asking between $1k and $2k more. Trade in value was a little less than what I would have liked (compared to MMR) but with 150k miles on my Sienna XLE Limited the small variation wasn't worth the hassle fighting over or trying to sell it myself. My wife and I drove almost 900 miles total (440 miles each way) to pick this vehicle up and we were concerned about what the pressure would be like when it came time to make the deal based on their not having seen our trade. We both were working sight unseen over the internet and phones. We worried for nothing! You couldn't have asked for a better experience. When we arrived at 10:00 AM (Mickey told us not to hurry due to heavy DC traffic), the car was cleaned and waiting for us in the pickup lane. We inspected the vehicle, took a test drive on a nice loop that gave a little of every kind of driving, and returned to finish paperwork. Everything was fully ready when we got there and it took very little effort on our part. A little over an hour later we were on our way back home. The vehicle was just as promised and I don't regret the 14 hours of driving to put this vehicle in my garage. I just wish they were closer to home!! More

Cesar was great and really made it a good experience. He does not come accross as someone who will entertain people buying new cars. Over the years we've purchased our share of automobiles and then some, including five Lexus. I'm one of those people for whom purchasing a car is a burden. I'd rather get a root canal. One of the reasons I have purchased so many Lexus' in recent years is that working with a Lexus dealer, particularly those in Madison, WI, and Scottsdale, AZ, is not like dealing with other car dealerships. I must say that I approached Pohanka Lexus with some trepidation. I simply don't care for high volume dealerships that seem more like the auto assembly line than a warm customer experience. Cesar Zebina altered my opinion. He came to me, kept me informed, and was patient with my demands for information. He was always friendly, courteous and always professional. As a businessman I understand the value of my time and his. He never really tried to 'sell' me, which went a long way in making the sale. I had to spend minimal time at the dealership; he spent most of the time working with me on which car and option choices, as well as delivery at my home. Cesar has sold automobiles to several of my neighbors and close friends and my wife and I will be added to the list of those who will recommend his service. I'm probably every car salesman's nightmare. I know what I want and any effort at moving me through the process at anything other than my pace will result in my walking away and looking elsewhere. Cesar did none of the things that can make the process unpleasant. If and when it is time for us to replace our other Lexus, Cesar will be our first call. More

My wife ordered a 2013 ES 350 in mid-September, knowing it would be at least three weeks before the car came in. She also ordered body side molding, which Mike didn't order with the car. And of course, when the car came in, it didn't have it. But that didn't stop Mike from pushing my wife to pick up the car, with the proviso that she could "bring it back in to get the side molding installed later". The molding wasn't even ordered until after the car was on their lot. Mike said he thought it would come on the car. Which it never does. In what must have been an effort to get Mike paid in September, the dealership showed the purchase date as 10-1, even though she didn't pick it up until 10-7. So the county will charge tax back to the first, not the seventh. When she picked the car up, Mike was careful to set the radio presets to the kind of music HE liked, without bothering to consider my wife's preferences. We sat in the car for forty five minutes, with the engine running and the AC on because Mike likes it on. It was about 55 degrees outside at the time. Really didn't need the AC. The car had three of the four valve caps it should have had. The side molding is crooked on the passengers side. There has been no follow up at all from Mike about the vehicle. Granted, it's a very nice car, but that would be the case with or without Mike. I'm sure someone could write that Mike was the best salesperson they've ever encountered . Unfortunately, we can't. More
