I cannot say enough about my wonderful experience at Pohanka Honda in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I recently purchased a 2010 Honda Pilot Touring. This was my first solo car buying experience, and as a single woman, I was nervous about purchasing a vehicle. I was, however, immediately put to ease by the courteous, experienced, and knowledgeable staff at Pohanka Honda, especially Bill Hamilton, sales consultant. I was treated with the upmost respect, and Bill was more than willing to answer all of my questions regarding both the Pilot product and financial information. I called Pohanka Honda and spoke with Bill Hamilton about purchasing a Honda Pilot. He immediately asked if I would like to come in to test drive a Pilot, and of course, I agreed. Mr. Hamilton was friendly and professional from the moment I walked into the dealership. I was very impressed about his knowledge on the Honda product, particularly the Honda Pilot. I learned much about the Pilot and its features during the test drive. I needed time to think about this important purchase, and Bill did not pressure me into buying that evening. He gave me his business card and told me to call him if I had any questions or needed further information. Of course, I did call Mr. Hamilton, but this time I was more than ready to purchase the Honda Pilot. When I came into the dealership the next week, again, I was impressed by how courteous Mr. Hamilton and all the Pohanka staff were to me. Mr. Hamilton took the time to show me all the many features on my new Honda Pilot, including the navigation system and hands-free cell phone service. The entire experience was pleasant and smooth. I worked with Chuck in the financial department, and he was very knowledgeable and friendly, as well. I am extremely pleased with Pohanka Honda, and I absolutely LOVE my new Honda Pilot. Quite simply, the best new car buying experience you could hope for. It's always fun getting a new car, but the buying experience can often leave a bad taste in your mouth, the wheeling and dealing try could hope for. It's always fun getting a new car, but the buying experience can often leave a bad taste in your mouth, the wheeling and dealing trying to get out of a dealership at a price you feel is reasonable, the games (endless trips back and forth between your sales person and the sales manager), wondering if you came in on the right weekend to get the best deal. As a USAA member, they had a quoted price for the vehicle I was interested, well below asking price, and as I was told by a local dealership in the Tidewater area, "We can't beat that." If there is a military member/retiree on the east coast shopping for a Honda, Kevin Carter of Pohanka Honda of Fredricksburg is the first place you should call. Growing up in the military and then serving myself, you would always see used car dealership around the base, with deals for E-1 and up, even the new car dealers took advantage of military members, it's refreshing to see a dealership treat a member of the military the way I was treated, it was a first-class experience and I look forward to working with Kevin on my next new car purchase. In 2008 we purchased a KIA Sedona one day prior to taking a cross country trip. From the day we purchased it, we have had nothing but problems. Now in 2010, we are taking another cross country trip and deci a cross country trip. From the day we purchased it, we have had nothing but problems. Now in 2010, we are taking another cross country trip and decided we were not taking it in the KIA. Our car shopping trip started at Toyota. We found a car that was what we were looking for. We decided to talk with a sales person and see what they could offer us. Long story short, they wouldn't budge on the price or even give us the time to "attempt" to work a deal. We decided to go to the Honda dealer (I have never owned a Honda) and see what they could do for us. Afer telling Bill about our Toyota experience, our immediate response from Bill was "I can make it happen". We spent a fair amount of time there, but in the end, he did make it happen. Chuck was great in finance. We left with our new Honda Pilot and a car payment that we were satisfied with, but the great thing is we got a call from Chuck the next day with a lower interest rate and close to a $100 decrease in our monthly payment. On top of all this, we had a great trouble free trip cross country. Our Pilot was a hit with the family too. Thank you Pohanka, Bill and Chuck. More

I was "window shopping" in the sales area while my 2006 Honda Civic LX was getting a state inspection. Ms. Levine approached me, and asked if she could get me a price on a new car. The price turned out to be too good to turn down, so after thinking it over that night I returned the next day and bought a 2010 Honda Civic LX, same car as before, just brand new. (For my money, dollar for dollar and pound for pound, the Civic is the best car on the road.) Very friendly, professional, and zero hassle throughout. More
