I brought my car to Pohanka Chevrolet this spring(09) because the AC was not working I was told by several employees/mechanics that there was a crack in my AC compressor and it needed to be replaced I re because the AC was not working I was told by several employees/mechanics that there was a crack in my AC compressor and it needed to be replaced I received an estimate of over 1500 for parts and labor, the "mechanic" refused to even try to recharge my ac saying that the "crack was too big" and that "all the coolant would just pour right out" I took it to another garage who recharged my AC and have had no problems since, being as there was no damage at all to my compressor it just needed new coolant. This dealership is the epitome of a dealer ripoff shack there is no way the mechanic saw any type of damage there was none. During that same visit I was also charged 45 dollars (which I was told was a discounted price) to have my spark plug re-threaded after they damaged it on a tune up they had performed a month earlier causing a spark plug to misfire. I was told there was nothing they could do about the charge even though the damage was theirs. More
Had fuel pump serviced at this dealership. When I arrived to pick it up, I proceeded to the gas station to fill 'er up. As soon as I inserted the nozzle and began the fill up, gasoline quickly rushe arrived to pick it up, I proceeded to the gas station to fill 'er up. As soon as I inserted the nozzle and began the fill up, gasoline quickly rushed from underneath the car all over the place. I took it back immediately and the tech forgot to attach the nozzle to the tank... Brilliant! I then proceeded back to the same gas station and filled it up this time without the super-soaker action from underneath the car. When I started it back up, the fuel gauge still said I had an 8th of a tank. Those rocket scientists forgot to attach the fuel sensor! What a waste of an entire evening after a long days work. Thank you Pohanka for being a crackerjack waste of time, space, and air! More
