My husband saw online that Pohanka Acura had the exact model and colors of the 2022 MDX that we wanted, so he called Yong Kim the same day to set up an appointment. Yong was very accommodating with the la model and colors of the 2022 MDX that we wanted, so he called Yong Kim the same day to set up an appointment. Yong was very accommodating with the last minute request and "saved" the car so that we could test drive it upon arrival. He was very easy to speak to and was very personable. We even talked about our kids and summer vacations and virtual learning. We hadn't bought a new car in over 15 years (that's how long our previous Acuras have lasted us) and Yong guided us honestly and informatively. He got us a great deal on the new MDX, (even in the middle of the 2022 MDX demand) and pushed for a higher offer for the trade-in of our 2005 MDX. After settling the financing, he stayed us to go over all the safety features of the new car and took our pictures for us. We are extremely happy with Yong and will come back to him when it's time to trade in our 2006 Acura TL. In addition to Yong, everyone we spoke with at Pohanka was super friendly. The lot was extremely busy and car buying can be a long and exhausting process, but my husband and I noticed that the day went by fast due to how pleasant everyone was, and how streamlined the process was. Yong and Rick were absolutely amazing when it came to getting our 2021 Acura RDX. Very personable and helpful. They really took the time to listen to us and accommodate our wants and needs for a new ve getting our 2021 Acura RDX. Very personable and helpful. Hway.,VA location on 03 Ashok Jain I purchased a new 2020 Acura MDX 2020 SH-AWD 7-passenger w/ tech Pkg from Pohanka Acura Chantilly,Lee Jackson Mem. Hway.,VA location on 03/29/2021. This vehicle had about 5 miles on it. They asked for a down payment a token of sale/deal & we had made a down payment of $2000.00 on that day to seal the deal. We were kept engaged till about 10:30PM at dealership. We were told that presently vehicle is stored/ located at their Ellicott City, MD location & will be brought from there tomorrow & delivered to us (Purchase was in the joint name of my daughter & me). Next Day when I called to find out status of delivery I was told that veh has 3000 miles on it. I was shocked & asked for details as to how this happened. After some time I got a call from dealership with more shocking news that this veh has even more miles on it. I was told that if I am ready to accept it then maybe I will get a discount of $500.00. I was not ready to be trapped like this so I refused. At this point dealership started its game of selling a different veh that they had at their location and they wanted to sell. We were first offered a different veh with different color & high mileage on it and upon our refusal started their sale gimmick/back & forth game. They mentioned that vehicle sold to me has been sold by other dealership. Upon being told that vehicle is still available at Ellicott City, MD location I was given another alibi dealer ship at Ellicott City, MD is not releasing/selling that vehicle. I had checked with Ellicott City, MD location myself & veh was available for sale till 03/31/2021. I had produced the proof but of no use. At this point it was already very late in the day & they had started offering tit bits of discounts & at one point started creating/giving attitude ( I was made to speak with a person claiming to be manager & he was pretty nasty in his usage of words besides tone & texture of voice. It was kind of threatening/ insulting). Ultimately we were called to dealership on 03/31/2021 & were offered a different vehicle (which was damaged). Surprisingly they never told us about it. It was my wife who noticed & we brought it to their attention. Now they came up with a new situation claiming that it is the last piece available in White color & only thing that can be done at this point is to get it repaired/fixed. So were made to sign the paperwork & come back without vehicle again. It was delivered to us next day after repairs ( Vow-New vehicle with repairs!!) So at last dealership delivered us a damaged/repaired vehicle (which they wanted to dispose of) by making a us to step in & finalize deal for purchase a vehicle of customer's choice & once paperwork was completed/signed token/down payment which was never there. No one from dealership has bothered to call even once as a courtesy for a feedback or if customer has a question. Silver-lining in this saga was personal behavior/attitude of sales person 'Shabazz Butt'(sorry if I spelt name incorrectly). He was polite & nice throughout. In fact his behavior /approach as person were main factor that helped us to go through all this. Now my submission is: How can you sell a different vehicle which is not in your possession/control & deliver a totally different one(VIN# are different). In my view it amounts to unprofessional, unethical & fraudulent and may be illegal approach on part of dealership.
