Mr. Nana Sono was very helpful in tracking down the actual car that I liked off of the Plaza website. He never tried to give me the hard sales pitch like most other sales reps do. When I went into Plaza Toyota my intention was to lease a Corolla. All I needed was a car that was fuel efficient and reliable. Now, having lots of prior experience buying cars, I completely anticipated that Corolla. All I needed was a car that was fuel efficient and reliable. Now, having lots of prior experience buying cars, I completely anticipated that my sales person would try to up-sell me into something more expensive once I disclosed my income. It had happened to me before, so I came prepared to deflect any notions of buying anything other than what was comfortable for me. Surprisingly, my assumption was totally wrong! James Lalanne listened to me, provided a good amount of information about the Corolla, took me for a test drive, and most important to me; he never suggested I consider a different Toyota! When I switched to the financing part and had to deal with Antonio Figueroa, my experice was even more comfortable. His personality was approachable and eased my anxieties regarding the costs and monthly payment. He was thorough in explaining the details! And, considering my credit was questionable with some negative items, Antonio reassured me that the deal could be done... Well, he delivered! I left the same day with my new Corolla, a full tank of gas, and a very very good feeling that I was taken care of. ***Good job, Plaza Toyota!! More
I started searching for my new car in September. I was looking for a 2013 RAV4. To my dismay, Nana told me that they had not come out yet. I returned in May to bring my 2005 Camry for an oil change. I asked for Nana because I remembered his demeanor when I visited previously. I also asked for a test drive of the new RAV4. Nana answered my questions and showed me features of the vehicle that were appealing (like the reverse camera and keyless entry). Nana did not have a hard sales pitch which was a plus. As a result, I decided to purchase the RAV4. More
As I walked into Plaza Toyota I was greeted by , Nana asked me what can I do for you today . I told him the exact vehicle I wanted, I told him this is the only truck( Highlander) I wanted and I won't se asked me what can I do for you today . My wife and I had been shopping for a good family vehicle as a trade for our minivan and we pretty much had an idea on what to expect. We walked in Plaza Toyota a few minutes after they opened on a Monday a as a trade for our minivan and we pretty much had an idea on what to expect. We walked in Plaza Toyota a few minutes after they opened on a Monday and Mr. Nana Sono, who was talking to another sales person stood up and meet us. He explained everything about the vehicle we wanted - Toyota Sienna. We let him enumerate the features, safety and standards not because we wanted to be impressed or that we don't know but because we want to know how sincere and truthful he is in the explanations. Then, we wanted to know the most important fact: the NUMBERS. Honestly, we already had previously knowledge on the numbers and our expectations are already set. We came in with a so-so trade in vehicle with a huge upside down. We still sat in there pretending we were naive and excited to drive a new vehicle. We were supposed to go to New Jersey that day and meet with the dealer we spoke to who offered us the best deal but with some cash out. So we informed Nana that we want to drive out with a new Sienna with no money down. After inspecting our trade-in, contacting our lien holder, etc. he asked if he can give us the better deal we can do business with him. I dreaded that part. I knew what that means: if you say yes then you are screwed and it's hard to get out. Nana looked at me in the eye and promised to even take out part of his just to make the deal with me. And boy, he actually delivered much more than we expected. We came out of the dealership 5 hours later not even knowing it was already five hours. Nana made us feel comfortable and spoke to us as if we were best of friends. He even toured us around the dealership, service and parts area and introduced us to anyone from the techs to the managers. We felt like we belong to the Toyota family even if this is our first Toyota vehicle. The hours just went by so fast! When we got home, our friends asked us the numbers (of course) and we were so proud to say a little over a hundred a month, the same exact insurance premium as before and we are driving a new Toyota Sienna. They were so amazed that we were able to pull it through with no money down. If anyone is looking for a new ride you can drop by Plaza Toyota and look for Nana Sono. It may sound like Nana paid us something to write good about himself. YES he did. He paid us with his EXCELLENT SERVICE and FAMILY-oriented approach to the bad side of business!!!! More
