End of lease/purchase new car We had a pleasant experience at Plaza Hyundai three years ago when we leased our Sonata. Hoping for another smooth process, we returned our lease to purchase a new Elantra. Unfortunately, this was the worst car dealership experience I ever had. The salesperson seemed totally confused about returning the lease car. He was even more confused after we agreed to purchase the new vehicle. Instead of just calling our insurance company (Geico) to transfer our policy to new car, he made us walk next door to purchase new insurance with different company. We had to wait ten minutes just to speak to the agent and tell him we already had insurance. The wasted ten minutes added to the nearly 4 Hours it took us to finalize the deal. I asked if I could sign the papers and return later to finalize the deal, since I had not planned to be there for so long and I was told I could not leave because the deal would not be honored at another time. The manager said the EXCESSIVE wait was because I was signed on to auto-pay for my lease payments and it took him that long to pay off my lease! When I left, I was not given any paperwork that showed my lease was returned and paid off. I just hope I'm not going to have trouble with Hyundai finance. I would definitely NOT be recommending this dealership to anyone nor will I be returning there to purchase/lease another car. More
