Hello! Yes, Michelle was great! She even tried multiple times helping me cancel the extended warranty and gap (including while she was on vacation!), although she said the theft insurance couldn't be cancelled, I've never heard of a dealer forcing you to get Allstate theft insurance in order to buy a vehicle from them but I was mostly worried about cancelling the extended warranty as that was a couple of thousand dollars (and I'm a mechanic). The finance guy said I had to have GAP because of the negative trade even though I told him I didn't want it. He said it was no cost, I asked him if it was free, he said it wasn't costing me anything, that the payment was the same. So I asked what the total amount would be with vs without it, he said it's the same amount due either way. Then he snuck in the warranty (he knew I didn't want any extras, I told him so multiple times) so after the fight with gap he started flying through the tablet, scrolling down to the signature boxes before I could read anything. I sent multiple letters to Allstate, three at a time, beginning with the moment I got home and read the unfortunate news in the digital paperwork (on the flash drive they give you). One letter for each unwanted extra: theft, extended warranty, and GAP. No response, I asked Michelle for help, she said the finance department said they couldn't cancel yet because the system said "payment pending" I sent three more letters certified mail to Allstate, no response, finally after 30 days (at which point in time you can no longer cancel the theft and gap for a full refund) the finance department agreed to help cancel the gap and warranty luckily, although I haven't received confirmation of either being cancelled just yet. I can't understand why that finance guy thinks defrauding customers for extra money is that important! I understand hard sells, but misleading, deceitfulness, refusing to listen to the customer, etc, that isn't the same thing as a hard sell.

I tried calling a week ago but it's just the main line, so I ended up sending you an direct email on the 2nd. It is a stressful experience, but hopefully I can at least get the extended warranty cancelled, as it was the bulk of the $3000 in extras I didn't want. So far I haven't received confirmation or refund of it's cancellation, the extended warranty place won't respond to even certified letters in attempts to cancel either. It's called premier care. I don't understand because the contract says I can cancel but I've tried everything, contacting Allstate multiple times through multiple methods, the finance department, the salesperson, all to no avail. I didn't get the full refund on GAP since they waited until after 30 days despite multiple attempts to cancel before 30 days (finance department lied and said they couldn't cancel before 30 days "because the insurance showed pending" but the extremely expensive extended warranty had a 60 day clause for a full refund. I'm guessing they are waited until after that time to process it's cancellation..
