Plattner's Arcadia Chevrolet Buick

Made an appt with Arcadia Chevy because our front windshield washer wasn't working. Got there for the 1pm appt. Was told it was the pump, which they would have to order for about $30 and would be in windshield washer wasn't working. Got there for the 1pm appt. Was told it was the pump, which they would have to order for about $30 and would be in in about a week OR they HAD a pump and motor assembly for about $70. I approved to change out because we were going on vacation in two days. Service person, Dinah, said it would take about an hour. I went into the customer waiting area and not 20 minutes later was called to the cashier office that my vehicle was ready!!! BUT in review of the charges I was charged $256 for labor - TWO HUNDRED FIFTY SIX DOLLARS. Was told it was "diagnostic" ($140) and labor charges. $140 to "determine" the pump wasn't working AND $116 to install???? In the past we have mainly used Arcadia Chevy for our Equinox (which we Leased from them) and Avalanche...............but NOT ANY MORE. This was the final straw. Their goal is $$ for over-charged services not customer retention. More

Bait and switch. Thats all they are. Found a Ram 1500 on there website. Spoke to them over the phone and discussed pricing. Took an hour ride up to them and price was $4000 higher than advertised. I even offered to pay $1000 more than advertised price. Nothing. Salesman was great, not his fault. Sales manager Bertram is a liar. Bait and Switch from Website Pricing Advertised ( 2 )2017 Buick Envisions on website; called the salesperson and stated that we were coming up to see them (45 minutes away) only to learn Advertised ( 2 )2017 Buick Envisions on website; called the salesperson and stated that we were coming up to see them (45 minutes away) only to learn that the 2nd car was at their other location?!! We test drove a 2017 Buick Envision Certified with 1300 miles which was advertised on their website for $19,984.00 with applicable discounts. Upon learning that our trade didn't qualify for their trade assistance discount of $2,000.00, we agreed to pay the $21, 984.00 for the vehicle. Once they learned we were interested in the vehicle, the price jumped to $22,984.00 as their lowest price. This is a classic bait and switch scam. There are other vehicles and we won't be buying from them...but feel compelled to alert other potential purchasers of the scam artists that they are.....buyer be ware!! More

Worst Buying Experience EVER! This car was the most ill-prepared used vehicle that I have ever purchased. When I took delivery of it and drove it out of town, first the fuel gauge This car was the most ill-prepared used vehicle that I have ever purchased. When I took delivery of it and drove it out of town, first the fuel gauge suddenly failed. Then the right turn signal stopped working. The vehicle had a significant vibration to it, despite asking the dealership to balance the wheel at my expense. Upon arrival in Jacksonville, FL, I took the car to a repair shop. The shop found that multiple failed fuses caused the fuel gauge failure. The gauge worked after the replacement of the fuses. The turn signal/ DRL light failed because the housing had melted and someone had tried to repair it by duck taping the socket to the housing. After replacing he housing & lightbulb, the turn signal was repaired at a cost of over $200. Upon returning to Indiana, I took the vehicle to the Corp HQ of Tire Rack to address the vehicle vibration. Upon inspection, Tire Rack discovered that ALL BALANCING WEIGHTS had been removed from the wheels. It appeared that someone had started to balance the wheels, but never finished! More problems followed! More
