Sleazy. Run. Away. Fast. They have a hidden dealer fee of $3000 that they do not disclose up front. They call it Plattner Automotive Value Package $2999. It is some sort of "exterior and interior protection" $3000 that they do not disclose up front. They call it Plattner Automotive Value Package $2999. It is some sort of "exterior and interior protection" treatment that is not optional. You don't see it until you start the purchase paperwork. What an xxxxx waste of time. A new spin on the old bait-and-switch. These guys are low-life xxxxxxxx. the epitome of sleazy car salesman. More
We were in the market for an inexpensive spare vehicle under $15K. We located a 2016 Chevy Impala LTZ stock # 5134525 listed on AutoTrader for $8,753.00. I called to inquire and was informed that in add under $15K. We located a 2016 Chevy Impala LTZ stock # 5134525 listed on AutoTrader for $8,753.00. I called to inquire and was informed that in addition to the base price, there is a $2,999 "Platter Automotive Value Pack" along with the other necessary fees (tags, taxes, etc.) bringing the total to $14,402. I said no thanks and pointed out their improper way of advertising. We made a list of vehicles to see the next day and as we were leaving the first dealership, we received a call from Plattner's. Note, I DID NOT call them, they called me. Josh informed me that we could be "out the door" for $14, 402 and after researching other vehicles, this was a very reasonable price for the vehicle. I indicated that I was interested and informed Josh that I would put down 50% and we would be on our way to view the vehicle. I asked him if they would agree to accept $14,000 even which 2% less than the asking price. Josh stated he would check with the manager. As we were driving to their location (1 hour and 20 minutes away) Josh called and stated that he spoke with the owner because all deals must be approved by the owner and the owner will not take less than $15K. I politely stated no and ended the call. I can't imagine what would have occurred if we actually drove to the dealership. One of my sons sells used vehicles in another state and he informed me that dealers often make additional money thru financing adding a point or two to the interest rate. Due to our down payment and excellent credit, they wouldn't have been able to further profit from the financing. We would have refinanced the small balance with our own CU late anyway. My point in writing this review is to vent and to possible prevent another unsuspecting customer from being scammed. Do not conduct business with this dealership! More
Buyer beware... The Sales Manager will tell his sales people to make up lies to sell you junk. Buyer beware...the sales manager DOES NOT ALLOW THIRD PARTY INSPECTIONS of their vehicles. Ignore retail li people to make up lies to sell you junk. Buyer beware...the sales manager DOES NOT ALLOW THIRD PARTY INSPECTIONS of their vehicles. Ignore retail list price and add $3000. That will be the real price minimum on every vehicle. Their cars are filthy. Embarrassing! Waste of my time, but a powerful lesson learned by me. More
The WORST BUYER BEWARE!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!I called the The WORST BUYER BEWARE!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! I called the dealership on a Hyundai Elantra GT, the car was located in Ocala we were told. We asked about The WORST BUYER BEWARE!!! CAVEAT EMPTOR!!! I called the dealership on a Hyundai Elantra GT, the car was located in Ocala we were told. We asked about the Car Fax and were told no accidents. The car was listed for a little over 10,000 dollars. We were told if we placed a deposit on the vehicle they could move it from Ocala to Arcadia for us to test drive. Fully refundable since they had their own car carrier and 10 dealerships. The car arrived in Arcadia with damage to the passenger side undercarrage which the salesperson observed before the test drive. Oh that internet price was a misprint SOUND FAMILIAR?? PRICE GOES TO 15,500. We can't get them to negotiate at all and they refuse to return the deposit! DECEITFUL DOESN'T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE THESE RIPOFF ARTISTS!! STAY AWAY BE WARNED!!!!!!!!!!! These guys are incredibly deceitful what can I say. We drove an hour plus for nothing, they are scammers. When we called them on the phone they said they had no dealership fees but the story changed when drove an hour plus for nothing, they are scammers. When we called them on the phone they said they had no dealership fees but the story changed when we got there. Also besides dealership fees, wow a ton of "option" mystery fees, that are unheard of and unexplainable and not optional. They managed to add 3k 4k and even $5,000 onto the advertised price of all vehicles we looked at. Well it was a quaint ride out to Arcadia that's all I can say; just cue the banjo music and prepare to get screwed! More
Took off work early to drive over and made the 45 min drive. They scam you and have no ethics. They purposely publish low prices on the internet and will NOT or them when you show up. For example, the sa drive. They scam you and have no ethics. They purposely publish low prices on the internet and will NOT or them when you show up. For example, the sales person Carl told me they would not lower price to $65k (which was web) and instead told me the price was $70k as the price online was too low. They should be embarrassed of themselves and I had to explain to my disappointed family how they are crooks. AVOID! More
Found what I thought was a good price on a 2015 Challenger Scatpack. Spoke to the friendly sales rep and made an appointment to see the car. I drove two hours only to be disappointed. The car was d Challenger Scatpack. Spoke to the friendly sales rep and made an appointment to see the car. I drove two hours only to be disappointed. The car was dirty and needed some things. I was willing to overlook them until they tried to low ball me on my trade-in. My 2018 RT with much lower mileage was in much cleaner condition than their vehicle. They also wanted to charge me a rediculous "Accessory Fee" of $2,999! That also did not include the dealer fee of over $1,000. Beware of hidden fees is all I am going to say. Not a very good experience. More
Bait and Switch - Internet price was 16,936, asked them to beat another dealers deal, they presented a sales worksheet showing a starting figure of 21,716.94, then added options, tax, title, etc. Asked the to beat another dealers deal, they presented a sales worksheet showing a starting figure of 21,716.94, then added options, tax, title, etc. Asked them why they did not start with the 16,936, said we did not qualify for that discounted price. Then we asked if they would honor the Plattner Trade Assist of 2,000 off for qualifying trade in, my salesman Hector response was my Manager Bert Heron said the worksheet we sent you was the best we can do. So no qualifying for the Employee Pricing for everyone thru January 4, 2021 as stated on site, plus no qualifying for Plattner Assist program, even though vehicle fits guidelines. More
