Another dealer farther away offered a price that was, taking into account the distance, roughly equal from my point of view, but Platinum seemed more professional, which is why I bought from them. Since their business costs on Long Island would have been higher than those of the other dealer, they were offering a price with what was probably a slightly lower profit margin for them. The only reason why I rated them a 4 on customer service is that when, after the sale, I asked a different sales person whether the VW automatic-door-lock system could be turned off by the service department, he said it would void the warranty, which is nonsensical (and not true). I went to directly the service department, which did it. More
If every auto salesperson treated their customers the way that David and the rest of the staff at Platinum VW treated me, there would be no stereotype about car salesmen! When I left with my new GTI I felt l that David and the rest of the staff at Platinum VW treated me, there would be no stereotype about car salesmen! When I left with my new GTI I felt like I had been treated fairly and that all of the terms of the deal were communicated to me in a clear and upfront way. My salesman, Joe Riccobene, showed me various cars and advised what would be the best car for me. I decided on the VW Jetta. Financing was a breeze. Rob Sedrish, Finance Manager, put a lease package together that was best for me. I had done much comparison shopping and found Platinum VW to be the most efficient and friendly dealership to work with. I felt no pressure and I had my leased Jetta in less than a day. My old Pontiac Lease Turn-in was also handled by Platinum - so this was one stop shopping. I am most impressed with the dealer and the experience. I plan on continuing to be a part of the Platinum VW family from here on in. Thank you for the best lease experience I have ever had. More

Best dealer I ever had. After 15 years leasing cars this was by far the most honest, friendly and hassle free dealer. I was a little undecided about the color to choose but with David Quintero (sales rep) everything went through easily. I highly recommend this dealer but more specially to work with David Quintero, he is the best, he would do anything possible to accommodate you without a hassle, he will give you facts and his honest opinion, not what you want to hear. When he says he'll call he does. I also find his extra "fund raising" a wonderful addition to your dealership. Joe Riccobene treated us with respect and like we were actual customers, not like he was doing us a favor by assisting us! Being a female, it's been awful having car dealers (including service dept personnel) talk down to you. Because of this, i have always brought a male with me when car shopping - even though the vehicle was for my use and was completely up to my choosing. Joe made me feel like i didn't need to bring my husband along. He was honest and i believe very fair on both the vehicle sales price and trade in value. i would not hesistate to refer people to Joe Riccobene and Platinum Volkswagen. More
