I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2022 Subaru Impreza from Planet Subaru in Hanover, MA, and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The rest of the team was also incredibly friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Planet Subaru is a trustworthy place to buy a car, especially if you prefer not to spend too much time on inspections, registration and other details yourself. They handled everything with professionalism and efficiency. The price is also reasonable. Highly recommend! ( the only thing i would recommend for the store to improve is if they can provide additional service to delivery the car to home, some new driver may need the service) More
BUYERS BEWARE. Planet Subaru prides themselves on being different from all the other dealerships. They do indeed offer lower pricing, but they make up for that on the back end. I just had an experience with Klaire and Rhonda. They shared with me the spec sheet, with selling price, taxes and fees, etc. Everything looked good. I then told them I wanted to lease this vehicle and asked for a new spec sheet with the updated info. They left the MA sales tax of $2,011 on the deal, as if I were purchasing it. When you lease, you pay monthly tax, not a full upfront fee as if you were purchasing. I tried telling them a couple of times they need to take this off and they wouldn't acknowledge the fact I even brought it up. Secondly, when they quoted me for the lease, I asked them what the money factor (interest rate) was and she said it was .00290 which is 6.96%. She then quickly responded back and said, correction, we quoted you with last month's rate of .00278 (6.67%) not the .00290 (6.96%). My monthly payment increased by only $3. There's no way it could increase by $3, it would have been at least $17-20. So right then, I knew I had a problem. Subaru Motors Finance is offering the money factor of .00240 (5.76%) to the dealership on 2024 Subaru Forester Sport. The rate of 5.76% is what Planet gets and then they mark up the money factor on leases. Don't let them fool you. They tried to increase their buy rate of 5.76% to 6.96% consumer rate. All of that money goes right into their pocket. The money factor is NEGOTIABLE, I have spoken with several Subaru dealerships who would honor the buy rate. My message to consumers is, do your research and know your numbers. Again, when I asked about the MF, it was not even acknowledged. Here's the quote they offered me on a lease with the MA sales tax still included in the quote for a lease. I suggest you go elsewhere or maybe not because they are indeed just like EVERY dealership and will take you for every dime you have. More

Agent suggested that I make an appointment to drive and view the vehicle for my husband and me after I had an initial session with him two days earlier. Then arranged for us to drive a vehicle we assured him we were not willing to purchase. Then told us we could wait until April when the next one was available if we made a substantial down payment. Allíe Webb in particular, is so personable, professional, and accommodating when upon arrival and pick up of our cars. She has a beautiful smile and positive attitude. We feel she is definitely an asset to Planet Subaru in Hanover. It’s always been a very good experience dealing with this company. I am a Planet Suburu fan! I have purchased 3 slightly used suburbs over many years. I just traded in my Forester for a beautiful blue Crosstrek. Of course a key reason I drive 30 miles to Hanover is the talented sales crew and exceptional service team. Crystal did an amazing job answering my (extensive) questions and was patient and informative. She let me take my time until I decided on my gently used Crosstrek- the day after Christmas!! Five star for the purchasing experience but one star for the service experience. Here's the what I think people should know: No half-day loaner car: On website they say you can get a loaner car even fo the service experience. Here's the what I think people should know: No half-day loaner car: On website they say you can get a loaner car even for a minor maintenance service, but this is only partially true because they only offer loaner car for a whole day. This means that you need to come in the day before, drop your car and get the loaner car, and come back the second day for pick up. If you just need a car to go somewhere else nearby during the day and come back later, it's not possible. Rude receptionist who don't know much about Subaru policy: I live and work really far away from Planet Subaru. After I explained how it's a hassle for me to drive 2 hours just to pick up the loaner car the day before and another 2 hours to pick up my own car on the day of maintenance, the receptionist said that many customers live in Boston can do this, impatiently. And when I was asking if Subaru of America offers free maintenance benefits for new Subaru cars, she kept talking about the passport program that Planet Subaru offers and gave another lecture by saying "Every service should be paid for" with a very mean tone. I am not sure if this is the kind of service you want to get when you purchased a new car with them and tried to schedule your very first maintenance. More

Recently, within a month’s time, we began a new lease on a 2023 Planet Subaru, and we have always had excellent experiences with sales and service. Recently, within a month’s time, we began a new lease on a 2023 Forester and traded in our 2016 Impreza for a 2020 Crosstrek Hybrid. Crystal was our salesperson for both cars, and she was a delight to work with. She is a friendly, down-to-earth person and a good listener. Both of us were impressed by her calm demeanor and patience throughout the entire process, and we never felt pressured for a moment. She genuinely cared about finding us the best possible deals to meet our needs. Most importantly, we are very happy with both of our new Subarus. Thank you, Crystal! More
