They stated it was a previous owner employee and he's taken good car of it, the usual spiel. Talked numbers and they added in a $2500 charge for the car because they did a major tune up. That is fine, I verified what I could and some parts are new, whatever. My issue was that if that was a price that could not be removed...why not have it in the internet price of $17,987? Eventually we agreed on knocking off about $1800 off the price and because there was new tires, new struts, new brake pads, I felt it was worth the extra price and proceeded to buy the car for $21,500 out the door. I specifically asked Mike the salesman to not run my credit, I was paying cash. Mike stated it was a soft credit pull; I still insisted don't pull my credit. The bank is closed right now, I'll come back tomorrow with a cashiers check the next day. They wanted to make the sale that day and ran my credit anyways, even though I did not pick up the car that day, nor was I financing. What is the point? While at the finance manager I was offered to view the Carfax. The first owner was a rental company and put 34k miles on it in one year, something that was conveniently left out when they were painting the picture "Previous Owner was very careful of the car, drove mostly highway miles to Tijuana, no one ever sat in the back seat of this car." When I drove it back home 40 minutes later the power steering was extremely hard and I called back Mike and left a message on it. He never called me back so I looked it up on Google, which it told me to check the power steering fluid. The power steering fluid was completely empty, I brought a whole bottle and emptied it in their. How long was the car without power steering fluid? I wouldn't buy from these guys again, they're sleezy. More
