Back in 2005 my wife and I purchased a brand new Nissan Altima from Planet Nissan of Las Vegas. Since then, we have had all of our services performed at this dealership. Up until about a year ago we were n Altima from Planet Nissan of Las Vegas. Since then, we have had all of our services performed at this dealership. Up until about a year ago we were nothing short of being completely satisfied. Within the past year we have had three horrible experiences. The first was when they tried to tell us that our brakes were ready to be changed. They even wrote the thickness readings down on the service report. Now, I am by no means a master mechanic but I am certainly capable of sparing myself some automotive repair expenses. A friend of mine, being a former auto mechanic agreed to lend me a hand so that my wife could get on the road as quickly as possible. I went to the local Pep boys and purchased both front and rear pads. When we pulled of the tires and calipers my friend began to laugh. As I stared down at my existing pads still having more than 50% wear left on them I felt very angry. I chalked it up as strike one for Planet Nissan. The second time within the year we again came due for an oil change so we took the car in. We were called a couple of hours later that we had two cracked engine mounts. I responded "really......which ones?" The service writer informed of the ones being cracked and I became extremely angry due to the fact that less than 22 months prior I had those same mounts changed out. What were they trying to pull? His response to me was, " well they are covered under you warranty" I then knew that they were trying to gouge Nissan for unnecessary repairs. I told them that my warranty still requires me to pay a deductible and I would pick up the car and have them checked out by another shop. I explained that I felt I had been lied to, and was being screwed. I asked the service writer, who was recently hired to run the service department? He was nothing more than a common crook. They called me back a little while later saying that the work was being "good willed" Unfortunately to this day I am not sure if any work was even done at all. Strike two. Just this past month, we again returned to Planet Nissan for routine service, along with an idle problem. I made a smart comment to the service writer that I did not want to be called at home regarding any motor mounts. I swear I must be flagged in the computer because 3.5 hours later I was called at home and told we must have hit something while driving. Our oil pan had been damaged. They said that it was pushed up into the oil pickup tube and that we were starving the engine of oil. Now mind you, we had no check engine light, no oil pressure problems, and no codes coming up on the diagnostic computer. I immediately responded with "what did you do to my car?" Neither my wife, nor myself hit anything. The car has been babied since day one. I also check periodically under the chassis to check for any obvious problems. Never had I seen a damaged oil pan. The service writer informed me that it would be over $400 dollars for repairs. I told him no....We did not damage the vehicle. I accused the mechanic of either making a mistake and lowering my car onto something or flat out deliberately damaging the pan, and I would be down to pick it up. When picking it up the car, it stalled twice in the lot and ran worse than when it was dropped off. I was told it was not safe to drive and they would not go any further diagnosing the problem until I paid for the oil pan. Long story short, I drove the car to United Nissan and had them them check it out. THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE DAMAGE MOST DEFFINATLEY LOOKED LKE IT HAD HAPPENED IN A SHOP AND NOT OUT ON THE ROAD, but t they could never prove it. They charged me $300 for repairs and I had a hard lesson learned to never return back to Planet Nissan. Strike three. Beware of this service department. There tactics have definitely changed for the worse within this past year. I would expect such tactics from a small shop, but definitely not from a certified dealership. More
I bought a used car from this dealership and I was told a couple of things would be fixed on the car before I bought it. They said that if I got the extended warrenty they would fix the problem after 30 days couple of things would be fixed on the car before I bought it. They said that if I got the extended warrenty they would fix the problem after 30 days. Now they don't want to fix the car. The salesman and manager are both not working there anymore and the new manager does not want to help me More
I have never seen such a poor example of a dealer that represents a supposedly reputable company (Nissan). The sales person was arrogant beyond belief - insulting and aggressive. When I had the temeri represents a supposedly reputable company (Nissan). The sales person was arrogant beyond belief - insulting and aggressive. When I had the temerity to suggest that maybe there was something wrong with his approach, he asked me if I would like to get into a fist-fight with him. As incredible as this sounds, it is true !!, it would be comical if I had read this about someone elses experience, but it actually happened to me. I went to the Planet Nissan website with the intent of logging a complaint, or contacting a manager, but I then read some reviews that other consumers had left about this dealer, and quickly came to the conclusion that it was not an isolated problem but an issue that was endemic with the operation. I therefore decided not to waste my time, but logged a complaint directly with Nissan instead - we'll see if they care enought to respond. More
While the salesperson did the best he could, Finance was a total joke. They called me in once to have my wife sign the loan documents, then told me that wouldn't be necessary. Then they called me in again t a total joke. They called me in once to have my wife sign the loan documents, then told me that wouldn't be necessary. Then they called me in again to say that the contract needed to be redone because the penalty for extra miles (this is a lease) was .15, not the .10 listed on the contract. After re-negotiatiing for 15,000 miles instead of 12,000/year amd a .15 penalty, now Nissan Motor Credit says the miles are 12,000 not 15,000 with a penalty of .15. I have a signed contract stating otherwise, and Nissan Motor Crdit appears not to care. Of course, Planet Nissan hasn't called me back. I have bought there before, and their tactics were equally poor. Why I got a second vehicle there is beyond me.....Let the buyer beware! These guys are not to be trusted. More
They sold me a car with a hole in the gas tank, then made my life miserable for 2 months while I tried to get them to fix it. The used car manager, Sam Amir, wouldn't return my phone calls about the matter. my life miserable for 2 months while I tried to get them to fix it. The used car manager, Sam Amir, wouldn't return my phone calls about the matter. I called him about 20 times over a week. When he finally called back, he made it seem like the money to fix the car would come out of his pocket, when in fast the warranty covered it. He even resorted to name calling, asking me why I was being such a b*&@# and that Planet Nissan didn't owe me anything. They tried to get me to sign two different contracts for this car, which is very ILLEGAL. I would never return there and don't recommend anyone else give them a dime of their money. More
I'll make a long story short, 3yrs ago I received a letter stating they had a "guaranteed payment program" where you would trade in your vehicle, get a new one and they would guarantee that your payme letter stating they had a "guaranteed payment program" where you would trade in your vehicle, get a new one and they would guarantee that your payment would stay the same. They refused to honor it, I ended up filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office. The DMV division that handles those types of complaints conducted their investigation and found them guilty of deceptive advertising. I ended up losing about $3,000 as a result. With the trading of the vehicle, I had cancelled an extended service plan. It took about a full year to actually get the refund back. I, literally, had spent countless hours and hours on the phone with them. More
From day one that I agreed to purchase a vehicle from this location, I have been treated like nothing but xxxx from the bottom of a lake. I have been: *Denied things verbally promised, in writing *D this location, I have been treated like nothing but xxxx from the bottom of a lake. I have been: *Denied things verbally promised, in writing *Denied that the vehicle I purchased was in an accident (Carfax report shows no accident but it has clearly been hit; and this damage was NOT disclosed to me prior to purchase nor was I allowed the opportunity to inspect the car at length before leaving the lot) *Sales rep makes appointments with you and then does not show up *Other reps that are supposed to follow up with you when initial sales rep does not show up, have no idea that they were supposed to follow up with anything nor do they know who you are *Sales reps berate customers who call in for service assistance *In less than 24hrs after the vehicle was driven off the lot, I found that the cd player/stereo was in non-working condition, the window tint on one door was shredding/peeling off, the door handle on this same door comes completely off without force, armrest glovebox was broken/would not close, and the back left tire exploded while I was on the 215 and left me stranded at 10:30 at night between the Trop and Town Center exit (no lights in that area). This was not a flat or a popped tire; it was in absolute shreds; I was told by several mechanic friends that it was likely due to an underinflated tire. When I took the car in the next day (VERY upset) I've never seen a tire swapped out faster in my life. Unfortunately I didn't have the presence of mind to take a photo of the tire before they whisked it away. The list goes on and on... these are just a few of the things I've had the pleasure of experiencing. For the love of all that is holy, STAY AWAY from Planet Nissan!!! More

On October 4th, 2005 my husband visited the Planet Nissan dealership located at 5850 Centennial Center Blvd with the intention of purchasing a vehicle. He was interested in a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant and after dealership located at 5850 Centennial Center Blvd with the intention of purchasing a vehicle. He was interested in a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant and after talking with the sales people he decided he wanted to return to the dealership with me so that I could view the vehicle and test drive it before making a solid decision in regards to purchasing the car. My husband was asked to leave a $50.00 to secure the vehicle on the night of the 4th. He was pressured by the sales staff to leave this money and when he tried to walk out of there, salesmen blocked the door in a desperate attempt to convince him to stay. Finally he left Planet Nissan, feeling badly about the high pressure sales and the forceful way they insisted he fork over $50. Between the time that my husband returned home and the time that we both returned to the dealership the following day, Three different salespeople from Planet Nissan called our home seven times encouraging us to come back to look at a car that we had intended on returning to view anyway. When we returned to the dealership on October 5th, the sales person who had helped my husband the night before was not available. Instead, John O'Hanion, assisted us. The standard of customer service that we received from John and other team members that night was beyond unsatisfactory. At first, we agreed to purchase the vehicle at the negotiated price, however, when it came time to sign the paperwork we noticed hidden fees in excess of $700 that were not mentioned nor included in the negotiations we just made. By this time I was so sick of the way we had been treated and their "textbook sales tactics" that I insisted we leave. At this point, our sales rep, John O'Hannon, began to treat us with EXTREME disrespect and hostility. He confronted me, my husband and the mechanic that we had brought with us by yelling and cursing, asking us what our problem was, and sarcastically thanking us for wasting his time. I have never, EVER, seen a salesperson or any other business professional act in this manner toward the customers. However, John knew we were no longer his customers. We were leaving and he lost a sale, and made it no secret that he was very, very angry about that. When walking into a dealership it is somewhat expected that high pressure sales tactics will be used - but, I have never seen such hostility, agression and invasion of personal space until I visited Planet Nissan. In addition to all this, I am now filing with the BBB and the FTC because one attempt by phone and two by mail, my husband's "deposit" has not been returned to him. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere besides Planet Nissan. We sure wish that we did. More
