I bought three Hondas at Planet Honda over the years, and always had my service done there. I moved out of state now, and hated leaving my favorite car service shop, I miss Mike's trustworthy, honest, patient, personable and reliable advice on my car mainentance and repair. He helped me keep my 17-year-old Honda in tip-top shape; service people here are impressed with the car's condition. In an emergency, Mike could always schedule timely repairs, and the service or repairs were done correctly and well. That dependability, trust and peace of mind are priceless. Thanks, Mike, the service department, and Planet Honda! Miss you much! More
I had booked my Honda car for replacement of windshield. This was confirmed via their e-mail. On arrival I was told that they had not ordered the required part from the vendor and hence can not be attended today. I must come again or leave the car to be picked up when ready. In the beginning itself Service Manger and service dept.were made aware that I am making special trip from Manhattan. While asking me very cooly (not even apologetically)to come back again, they did not realize how onerous it is to come from Manhattan. It took me one and half hour to reach this dealer and to come again means, loss of one more working day, hassle of traveling to and from my residence and present frustration of going back without accomplishing any thing. I can understand somebody goofed in not placing order on the vendor. This is bad enough, worst was when the Service manager showed cold shoulder and was insensitive to customers predicament and even refused to allow loaner car during the time my car is under repair. I had no alternative but to return back utterly disappointed. I had chosen Planet Honda because me and my family bought 3 Honda cars last 5 years. Will I be wrong in not dealing with Planet Honda any more ? More
Carmen Semenza, who works in service department, doesn't know Honda car well and scares customers to sell unnecessary car repair services. His behavior is not professional. know Honda car well and scares customers to sell unnecessary car repair services. His behavior is not professional. More
kelvin went way above just being an employee, he actually treated us like we were his friends, and saved us another 3 hr. drive , not mking another trip really made our day, and all because we came to pick u treated us like we were his friends, and saved us another 3 hr. drive , not mking another trip really made our day, and all because we came to pick up our new plates and mentioned we'd have to make another trip for a part we ordered. He checked stock, and got the part put on WITHOUT an appointment, on a SAt. Then lent us his car to go have lunch while they worked on our car,GREAT GUY, wonderful experience. Yeah Kelvin! More
First of all when we contacted Ben Adams in the Body Shop we received an estimate within 24 hours. Next within 2 days of the estimate we brought our vehicle in to receive a new bumper. A phone call was rec we received an estimate within 24 hours. Next within 2 days of the estimate we brought our vehicle in to receive a new bumper. A phone call was received that a panel underneath the vehicle was damaged and needed to be replace. Ben called us on Thursday to let us know our vehicle was completed. The process of picking up and paying for the repairs was painless and fast. I would definitely go back to Planet Honda to have any body repairs to any of our vehicles in the future. Every aspect was done professionally and timely. More
"I got my tires changed. I did pay for alignment as well. I came back with same problem. This time it was a problem with spark plugs (SURPRISING...AIN'T IT???) Wait, its not over yet. Then, I visited a well. I came back with same problem. This time it was a problem with spark plugs (SURPRISING...AIN'T IT???) Wait, its not over yet. Then, I visited again, my third freaking visit (pardon my language but you might understand that its damn frustrating) Not to be surprised, this time they said you have bent rims. I just asked simple question, WHY WASN'T IT DETECTED IN PREVIOUS TWO TRIPS? The guy, very nicely, said you car might have hit a pothole between the last visit and this one. How the hell is this possible. I had the same issue since my last three visits and finally they say its RIMS?? I hope you will take some action after reading this email. I don't mind going to consumer protection department if there is no response from your side. I have spend nearly $1800 only to figure out that its problem of rims." THIS IS MY EMAIL TO THEM WHICH THEY DIDN'T CARED TO REPLY YET!!! DISGUSTING.... More
Planet Honda was recommended by Liberty Mutual for body repair of a fender scratch. Appointment was easy to make, they shuttled me back and forth from home, and the cost was reasonable. However; upon arr repair of a fender scratch. Appointment was easy to make, they shuttled me back and forth from home, and the cost was reasonable. However; upon arrival to pick up my car, there was a problem. The car was brought in for repair work of the right-front fender, and this was done quite well. When I got into the car, the seat was all the way forward, the radio station had been changed and the mirrors had all been moved. "No problem", I thought. Obviously they had to move the car around and wanted to be careful with it. I went to move the mirrors back into position for me, when I noticed that the sport mirror toggle switch on the inside of the driver side door was missing!! Nothing there, but a hole in the door panel. The manager, Paul, asked, "Is everything alright?". I said, "No", and proceeded to show him how, by some great mystery, the sport mirror toggle switch had been removed from the driver side door, when the car was brought in for exterior front end work only. Paul believed that the workers may have gotten a little aggressive while cleaning the car and wiping it down. I looked around the inside of the car and it was just as dirty (dirt, dust etc) on the inside as when I dropped it off two days prior. Nothing was wiped down. The toggle switch does not come loose or come out, because it is very difficult to pull on. In order to have it replaced, a Planet Honda technician had to take the inside part of the driver side door off, in order to install the replacement switch. If getting that switch out, or replacing it required taking apart the driver side door, why was this done when the car was not brought in for interior work? If they somehow managed to break it, while adjusting the mirrors to move the car around the lot, then why didn't somebody say something to the manager? Something doesn't sound right and I do not believe the Managers explanation. I made sure to look around the car, the second time, to make sure nothing else was missing. Something I shouldn't have had to do, but trust was lost, and that's not good! More
An unfortunate accident left the front end of my almost-new (20,000 miles) Hyundai Elantra in a total wreck. I was dubious that it could even BE repaired. However, Progressive Insurance said they' almost-new (20,000 miles) Hyundai Elantra in a total wreck. I was dubious that it could even BE repaired. However, Progressive Insurance said they'd stand behind the work, so I asked to have it done there. In the past, this level of repair was almost always followed by "frame straightening", and an interminable set of visits such that the car could not have been properly repaired. I felt that ONLY a factory-trained repair shop had a prayer of putting my car back together again. Although there was a slight delay receiving some parts during the repair, the body shop was prompt to keep us informed as to status, and always up to date. When the car was ready, we could not pick it up right away on Friday, so they arranged for us to settle the account at the cashier's window on Saturday, even though the body shop wasn't open. The same day, we set out for a 1,000 miles journey from NJ to Western PA, over both interstate highways and arduous rural roads. To our great delight, the car PERFORMED LIKE NEW OR BETTER! It was obvious that all tires were balanced, the suspension tuned, and the invoice showed that only new-car factory replacement parts had been used. Although the total bill was over $6,500, it saved an even greater financial loss had the car been totalled, for I would have compelely lost my down payment on the car, and been faced with starting from scratch with no trade-in on a replacement vehicle. Instead, I am driving a car with a completely new front end, 20,000 miles on the engine, and in perfect running condition. I am sure this vehicle will provide the 6-10 years of service I had projected when it was purchased, and that I won't have to prematurely dispose of it because of the accident. I would definitely recommend this body shop for their skill, courtesy, and excellence in complex repairs. Thank you, Planet Honda! More
